  • Cris and I just sat down to watch the 2006 dystopian sci-fi adventure film "The Children of Men". It's directed by Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón and stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Pam Ferris, Charlie Hunnam, and Michael Caine. A 10 out of 10 movie review from me, as I find Children of Men to be one of the best dystopian sci-fi movies I've seen over the years for all the reasons in this review!

I first read the book in 2006...It was part of a care package to the military in Iraq...because I am a SciFi fan, it was the only thing I took...and I loved it...The movie, not as much...

I'd say the current Conservative policies on migrants is A LOT more relevant to this film than brexit😂

They both fit. Brexit is MORE relevant given the fact this is a U.K. film.

@@Renfail The Conservatives are the current political party in charge of the UK and they have horrible policies for migrants, I just assumed you knew this because you know brexit. Brexit doesn't affect immigration of non brits. Norway and Switzerland are not part of the EU, Brexit is just leaving the EU.

@@DerekDerekDerekDerekDerekDerek I thought you were referring to conservative politics globally, not specifically to the U.K. Your comment makes more sense at the local level. Copy that.
