Hi, thank you for the feedback. The OBD hardwire kit connects to the OBD port and powers the cameras. The regular hardwire kit connects to the car’s fuse box and powers the cameras. No specific advantages. All cars have an OBD port readily accessible whereas most cars don’t have a fuse box with a fuse slot that can be tapped for the camera.
@@GaneshBalan OBD seems more practical. But i have hardwire parking kit but I haven't installed it yet. also my fuse box is fine too. So I should go with my hardwire kit. Thanks for info
Hi Pankaj, thanks for the feedback. My friend sourced this from Amazon. The box shown at the start of the video was a giveaway 🙂 You can also buy this from Nexdigitron who’s an authorised retailer of DDPAI products.
I guess one of the 6 air bag is located along the B pillar trim. Hope you ruled out wire messing with launch of airbags located there. I understand Obd-2 will enable the parking mode with continuous power from battery. Hope there is some setting to cut off for safe operation and longevity of car battery
Hi Shreenath, 1. This is a 2021 Urban Cruiser which has only 2 airbags. If you have a curtain airbag, I suggest you don’t open the A pillar trim and instead route it through the gap between the weather strip. 2. The app has a setting to cut off the power to the dashcam if the car battery voltage falls below a set threshold value. There are 3 different voltage settings which you can set as a threshold value. If the camera senses that the voltage drops below this value, it will cutoff the power to the dashcam from OBD. This works only with the DDPAI’s OBD accessory. Hope this helps.
Hi, my friend spent Rs 14k for the Z50 from Amazon. Quality is amazing! Especially from the 4K front cam. Check out the samples which I’ve shared in a separate clip - it includes shots from both front and rear cams during the day and night. 👍🏻
Yaaay🎉 Thank you Gannu bhai
Thanks for this video 👍🏻 What is the difference between obd hardwire kit and other hardwire kit? What is the advantage and disadvantage of OBD?

Hi! Useful video like always. May you please provide some information about place/online portal where you bought it from? Thanks!

From where did you find the OBD Port Kit for Z50 ?
Hi, we got it from Amazon.
DDPAI Hard Wire Cable Kit for Dash Camera (Type-C with OBD-II Connector) amzn.eu/d/eicowtc
Hows the quality and how much did you spend on it?

Nice, will it void car warranty ?
Hi Srinivas, no it won’t since you aren’t messing with the stock electrical cables of the car such as splicing, taping, using Scotch connectors, etc.
Nice one 👍
Thanks a lot Jishnu. 😊
