I have seen now Some video’s from you in the last two days, also with Karen. And I am breathtaking on several moments😮. I think I can understand why you are doing this, to find your “borders”. Please do not take to much risk, and stay healty👍. All the best from the netherlands.
Thank you very much for your feedback. It's not really to find my/our limits, if that was the case then we would have taken more risks. If we do it, it's mainly to change the routine and to show everyone and ourselves that life doesn't stop at 50. It's not always easy to find motivation. I also do ultratrail, but I don't show here at the moment.
Your films are engaging because you describe the emotional aspect of how the challenge makes you feel; fear, joy, etc. keep it up. So many hiking videos are so boring because they miss out this very human emotional aspect. Can you tell us more about the ‚snowshoe‘ devices you have attached to your crampons?
Thank you very much for your feedback. In fact when I started making videos, I was only showing the route without saying anything, but something was missing; and it's exactly what you are talking about. It's not an easy task to add an interesting story, including emotions to images. I will produce a dedicated video showing and explaining the equipment I use during my ascents.
Great effort. I know exactly how it feels to climb a difficult tricky section only to realize at the top of it that you have to downclimb it again from the other side.. :-D "Mixed feelings" is a very light way how to put it haha.. You have earned a new subscriber!
Thank you for watching! Climbing in the mountains can be quite a challenge, but the thrill of the adventure is something I wouldn't trade for anything. Do you practice mountaineering?
Thank you, John! Skiing in the mountains, particularly in the unique and stunning location of Zermatt, must be an extraordinary experience. I appreciate your support for my videos. I've never been to Thailand, but it's on my wish list. It offers a completely different and captivating scenery.
It is not easy to conquer the summits alone, when there is really no one around you. What you can feel is hard to imagine even for those who go mountaineering with a partner(s). Thank you for you comment, do not hesitate to subscribe to our channel and to watch our other videos.
We've just released a brand new video dedicated to winter hiking. 👉Follow this link to embark on this frosty journey: [ua-cam.com/video/QhYAW1q9FyA/v-deo.html] Experience the serene beauty of winter like never before!
Well done on another great adventure, that rock outcrop on the ridge ridge looked pretty precarious,i noticed you took more time with the drone footage which was a big improvement in filming and great to see the massive scale, looking forward to your next one, take care on these mountains.
Thank you very much for your feedback. Actually I needed 3 tries last winter to get to the summit. The snow was very deep and without the skis it's more difficult, but it allowed me to take more drone footage. It's not always easy to take nice shots; us you know the weather can be capricious. I've just started a new video but I have no clue how long it will take to be ready. Security always first :-) I hope to see you one day in the mountains...

Hello! I just came across this video and I'm really impressed! the presentation and the comments are really successful. the pictures are stunning. three days ago I was also on the Bristen. it had been a goal of mine for a long time but I had a lot of respect for the vertical distance. I found the latest one to be a demanding day tour, but it made my dream come true. your winter bivouac gives me ideas 😉
Congratulations on having conquered Bristen, a very beautiful and majestic mountain. Allow me to give you some advice. If you want to climb this mountain in winter then you have to be very careful of the avalanches. Let me know before you leave, I'll give you some indications on dangerous places. If it will be your first experience in winter then try a easier summit first. Thank you very much for your feedback and good luck with your adventures.
Last year I did my first winter ascent on my birthday. That was a very impressive experience. However, this mountain was only 2049m Habe ch. yet I had to trace.
Thanks a lot for your comment. I don't think I will climb this mountain in winter. But I would love to experience this Himalayan feeling. I have now also made a video of the ascent, if you like you can watch it, best regards, Christian. ua-cam.com/video/YucxEtUI8KY/v-deo.html
Thank you for your comment, Christian. Unfortunately, UA-cam doesn't always handle comments properly. I apologize for my delayed response; I didn't notice your comment earlier. I watched your video and it's a great achievement! The Himalayan scenery is breathtaking here. Thanks for sharing your experience. I've just watched your video from Liechtenstein, and it's given me some ideas for the winter. Best regards! What is your next goal ?
What a wonderful channel! I am happy to have discovered you. You are doing exactly the type of solo mountaineering I desire to do. I would love to reach out and have a conversation with you if possible!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy the channel and that it resonates with your mountaineering aspirations. Absolutely, feel free to reach out for a conversation. You can contact me on Messenger - just search for 'Robert Bielecki (Bob)', and we can chat more about solo mountaineering. Looking forward to connecting with you!
Hi! Thank you for watching and for the compliment! The snowshoes I'm using are called Snowplaks. You can find more information about them on Google. Don't forget to check out my other videos for more exciting content!
Hi there, this is Giorgio from Italy. I follow your channel and really admire your location goals and overall outdoor philosophy. I just wanted to offer a small critique regarding the music you often use in your videos. I've noticed that you tend to use the same "classical music" soundtrack pieces to evoke emotional moments, which can become repetitive and annoying after a while. Perhaps you could limit the use of this music to certain moments in your video story and incorporate more natural recorded sounds. On the other hand, I appreciate the precision and richness of your video data, such as the subtitles for mountain names. Please take this as a minor point of feedback. BTW, II was wondering if you could provide some additional information on a specific video regarding your gear. In particular, I found the Snowplank snowshoes to be fascinating as they are not well-known in Italy. That produc seems quite interesting, albeit potentially expensive. Additionally, I am also curious about the defect problem you experienced with the Petzl crampons. Thank you for sharing your experiences and insights on your outdoor adventures. Chapeau!
Thank you very much for your reply. Indeed, I have some problems with the soundtrack, on my installation it works quite well but apparently on some configurations there are volume problems. I'll release a new video soon, you can judge for yourself if it's better. Regarding creating a video about the material used and the feedback from the adventure, yes it's on my to-do list but it takes time to make it :-( Anyway, I will try, but cannot provide you with fixed date.
Great video and great job ascending another peak. You mentioned using what I believe you called snow plugs at 15:25. This is the equipment that you used instead of snow shoes for ascending steep powder. What is the name of this equipment and what brand do you use? Do you recommend them?
Hello thank you for your feedback. The equipment is called snowplaks: www.snowplak.com/ For me they are better than the snowshoes. They are lighter and take less room. I will not advice to use them with "flexible" shoes like www.lasportiva.com/fr/crossover-2.0-gtx-homme-noir-26t999999, they hurt your feet. Do not hesitate to subscribe :-)
@@never-too-late Thank you for getting back to me. I will take a look and will make sure to always use my Scarpa Mont Blanc or Scarpa Phantom Tech boots with such a device.
Loved this film along with your others. I know how hard it is to film yourself in the mountain and capture what you're seeing and what you're feeling but you make it work. If you don't mind me asking, what software do you use to make your animated maps? Looking forward to seeing more!
Thank you very much for your feedback. You are right it's not easy to film especially when you get tired. Regarding the software I use Adobe After Effects + GeoLayers3 + Mettle FreeForm Pro, it's quite complicated and expensive, I don't know how much it would cost to someone else to do it, and for my part I like to learn.
