#1 Just put up a sign that reads:"Standing here will damage your phone" and you won't see another person there again.
LOL!
I mean, I might go there to avoid millennials :)
Except they have a Nokia
@@brathahn69 "Standing here will damage your phone.
Even a Nokia."
It’s true. We got sold a false bill of goods.
I live in Skiathos every summer. A few people get regularly injured, doing this. There is a multitude of signs warning them to stay further back, but they are sadly ignored. My wife did the same, but i had warned her, if she feels she can't stand, to simply sit down behind the barriers and hold from on the vertical struts, which she did.
I mean, it is enough that one piece of rock flies into your eye and you're blind...
@@calleflygare746 watching these other people do it is good enough for me, thanks.
@@calleflygare746yeah, but this requires brain to think it…
Sadly, no Aerosucrae
Same as St Maarten. The level of idiocy is astonishing!😂
For a plane of 89', that B2 still looks like an airplane of the future.
There's also the SR-71 Blackbird from '60-s.
it looks like something tesla would design. the cyberplane.

0:15 Give them the Darwin Prize
i am rooting for the plane! Spool those engines up !!
They will win it for sure next time, when they try this with an A380.
Most of them look old enough to have kids already which disqualifies them for Darvin award. I still cannot believe how many people use it wrong all the time
Ngl when that giant machine started moving forward, it looked kinda unreal and scary.
Yeah, the Nitwittery is Pro Level .
0:30 got me😂
😂 +1
Face palmed the wall
Got her too!
I'm longing for an Aerosucre cameo. I guess I've become addicted to watching the madcapped high-jinx they call flying.
They definitely come from the "fasten your seat belts... and hang-on" school of flying, don't they? Never a dull moment with those adventurous souls! 🙂
Not much Aero or Sucre about those flights.........

0:18 reckless father bringing his kid into this.
1:16 This wasn't normal... something's definately wrong with the pilot 😂
@2:18 is not an engine failure, its a compressor stall
Which fails the engine.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 Rarely.
Pretty sure that's me after some bad tuna.
Pretty sure I saw a yaw to the right very shortly after takeoff, that would be a loss of power to the #2 engine.
Which is an engine failing to operate properly.
0:22 - The Nitwittery is Pro Level .
2:13 I was alt tabbed as this played and thought we had switched to a trainspotting channel
That first clip was nuts. They won't be rushing back to do it again.
Nice camera work on that last video! 👍
They really kept the camera focused on the B2
I am so jealous of those tourists, this seems like such a cool spot for plane spotting. But, uhh, maybe step back a little and use a camera to get the real close up shots like the other pros there 😅
I’ve been hit by jet blast up close…it’s not the force but the heat that gets you.
@@luthers_janitorial1995 Is there much heat by a high-bypass turbofan engine?
@@u2bear377At the cross-Atlantic route, take-off power? Oh, yes. No matter the engine design, full power is always a good idea if your mass is big, and the runway short. And it is never a good idea to stand just behind this birdie.
@@jarekferenc1149 That's not what I asked.
Yup, an aircraft engine pushes back a lot of air. But considering the core gases mix with the bypass air (and then with the ambient air), _is the blast really _*_hot_*_ in high-bypass engines?_ A low-bypass with an afterburner (military staff) is a different matter.
@@u2bear377 "heat" and "hot" have two different meanings, so your 2nd question is different from the 1st. An aircraft of certain mass needs certain speed to get airborne. This means it needs certain amount of kinetic energy. This amount of kinetic energy comes from, solely, burning certain amount of fuel (total energy IN). The chemical energy of fuel is converted into thermal energy (heat) and mechanical energy (kinetic energy, useful energy OUT) by the engines. The heat that remains in the air after the exhaust leaves the engine is a loss (wasted). The proportion between the energies after the process is (my gut feeling only, I'm not a turbine engineer) approx. 35% kinetic i.e. speed and 65% heat i.e. temperature.
The trick is in the efficiency of the engine. Here, it doesn't matter how this happens in detail, but at the end of the day, the turbofan engines have better efficiency than simple jet engine, say, 50% (don't blame me for gut feeling numbers). This efficiency is an overall number, calculated from the "total IN" energy and "useful OUT" energy. The difference is heat expelled towards silly tourists at the airport fence. For the consideration of how hot air hits the fellows at the fence, it really does not matter if hot exhaust mixes with cold bypass air in the engine and in what proportion. To my understanding of the process as a whole, yes, the high bypass ratio engines will produce less hot air at the outlet because of better efficiency (they need less fuel to do the same job). How much less? The mass of the air going out should be considered as well, but I suppose it will also favour the high bypass engines, anyway. The guys at the fence will get less burnt if the high bypass is installed.
0:32 her hair 😂😂😂
'Gee, let's stand behind this 737 when it takes off... what could go wrong?"
0:19 Gotta say, however stupid it was to be in that place, the man holding and protecting his wife in the pink top from the jet blast deserves my respect
Possible he was also using his wife as a stable platform to hold on to…
I would have done the same too and I am pretty sure a majority of men would have done the same. No need to emphasis about "Respect".Jeez🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@RahulRk-tr7ot Now of men that wouldn't. Credit where credit is due or would you like a world where good work is not appreciated when it's expected?
I thought he kept her close just to have a handy cushion, just in case the blast is too strong. She looked suitable for this purpose. Their marital status was irrelevant, I suppose. Safety first.
Regarding the first clip, all I can say is intelligence is not a birthright… unfortunately. 🙄
I love how the nose gear on that WGN 74 landing gets the last word. 😂
Love your closing music
I don’t, it’s pointless and unnecessary. There are some very successful channels out there that don’t have any music or fancy editing. The content speaks for itself.
that looks so fun tbh
Wow that man brought his little baby there! Disgusting! People are afraid of tornadoes, but will stand there for that!
That 747 was just wing-waving at us on approach 😉
Iberia was prolly a near by reposition flight with no passengers they often don’t raise landing gear is it’s close enough and the no passengers explained the hard rotation
That take off of the 757 just had a 4 year old kid banging on his Ludwig drum in the background. Can’t fool everybody!
amazing pilots.
I presume all these people are Brits? Only my own countrymen could be daft enough to get that close to the business end of a jet engine!
You’d be amazed how many Yanks do it in St M…
Doesn’t St Maarten attract mostly American and Dutch tourists? I’m sure there are plenty of Brits though.
That B-2 looks evil.

Damn that lady could’ve lost all her front teeth on that concrete in the first clip!
Not a surprise. People literally go here to experience this.
The roar of that 747!

Don't underestimate the stupidity of the average person.

The girl can be happy that she didn't knock out her own teeth (0:28).
0:13 Shouldn't this area be protected somehow or at least some warning sign be placed there?
This wasn't a tourist surprise, they knew what they were getting themselves into.........
Those tourists learned Newton’s third law the hard way.
How can the tourists be surprised standing right behind the jet like that?
I don't think people realise how dangerous it is to stand behind jet wash like that. Sure, the wash in its own is dangerous enough but if there's debris like stone or gravel that's kicked up it'll cause major damage and death if it hits someone.
0:29 😂
thx
Great video!
That poor innocent 747. PIO city.
I didn't see anyone who was surprised.
I'm surprised that guy didn't put his back out trying to hold onto her!!
No surprise at all. This happens with every departing plane at SXM.
Did that girl with the NIKE shirt on leave with all her teeth??
Do pilots get any warnings in the cockpit if they forget to retract the gear after takeoff?
1:31
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this precise falcon 6x parked at the N ramp in Portsmouth. My flight school is right next to its hangar, if it’s the same one.
A tourist was killed by jet blast in 2017. Head hit a concrete kerb in similar style to the girl at the end of the clip face planting the wall.
One of these days there's going to be an uncontained turbine failure and all those people at the end of the runway are going to look like something out of a "Final Destination" movie.
If you’ve ever actually seen one most of the bits exit through the side of the engine, not the back.
Even something less shocking could be life changing....I mean as the engines throttle up they are kicking up a lot of dust....I imagine if there were any pieces of small debris on the runway behind the plane (small/sharp stones or god forbid something more substantial like a piece of metal) it might get thrown back to into the faces/eyes of those watching ....
😂😂 I was thinking so too! Then there will will law cases, families suing

The b2 seems to be getting some flight hours up. Maybe now because the b21 is almost in service
We can see the Sun Express trying to rotate first time, and being unable to achieve the rotation for any reason, before pulling hard on the second attempt.
Reasons could be, but are nor limited to:
-wrong Vr computation
-pilot induced rotation too early
-flight controls problem
Every pilot that risks a steep climb for no reason should be grounded. Also, if you climb with the gear down you should be jailed.
The condor sounded like a shart
Had a few yourself have you?
Those fumes can't be good for you.
The jet blasts in Maho - sunset beach don’t surprise tourist. People go there to feel the power of the jet blast. Just moments before this clip the aircraft was even closer to the small road and the fence when it was making a 180° turn to get into position.
I’ve landed there in Jets and stood on the beach. No one there is surprised. (Well except the Swedish tourists)
One ignoramus even brought a baby.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
good video
M-O-R-O-N-S
As if standing in the jet blast isn't stupid enough, the fact that they get blasted ACROSS A ROAD is just ... Just one vehicle has to be driving by when someone goes flying and they'll be made into a speed bump.
Nah - just you wait until a plane at that first airport turns on reverse thrust 💀💀
Normal day at skiathos
Not sure it surprised people standing behind it
I guess people haven't seen the videos where people get injured standing behind jet engines.
747 looked like PIO to me
Yes, if you look at the control movements they don't look to be helping. It's a cargo airline, nuff said.
If only there were signs warning people or videos on the internet making fun of these fools.
If you stand directly behind a jet and are surprised by a jet blast, then you are a D U M B A 5 5.
For Ryan Air, that Western Global landing would be nothing remarkable.
Lets goooooo another sick video
That was hilarious! 😆
0:13 isn't this Maho Beach at St.Maarten? there already had been fatal accidents when people get their heads slammed into the wall like @ 0:27 . These people clearly have no idea what they are doing.
