Top ten extra bags for “one bag travelers” 🤣. Don’t get me wrong, I pack a sling, a tote, and a daypack in my “one bag” I just think the fact that most of us don’t really adhere to that definition is funny.
As a new mum, a small sling in addition to the diaper bag is really useful for my phone, lip balm, headphones and a small wallet when I don’t want to rummage in the nappy bag
I have been carrying the Fjallraven Greenland messenger bag for a few months now. I LOVE this bag. I can put a Peak Design Field Pouch in it to convert it to a street photography bag. Its easy to re-wax and has been holding up great! I got the deep green color way.
Hey, Could you make a video about how to maintain and clean a sling bags? It would be helpful to know the best cleaning solutions to use based on the material.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along. Check out this guide for now: packhacker.com/blog/general/how-to-wash-a-backpack-and-gear-cleaning-tips/
We featured the tomtoc Urban Sling Bag in our previous sling roundup video! Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/MO-LmoCsSG4/v-deo.htmlsi=3aQ6-q2Mw4IuNraQ&t=99
Picked up the REI 7L ruckpack sling a few weeks ago during the member sale for 30% off. It’s a travel staple for me now. For the price I find it hard to beat. I used it on a week long Australia trip and it accomplished all I asked of it and more. I ditched the additional strap and opted to wear it more across the chest rather than the suggested on the back method. I do appreciate the option however. I would highly recommend checking it out if anyone is looking for a larger 7L sling. (Note it is a hair boxy. More hamburger style where some slings are more hotdog.)
I want to offer my unsolicited recommendation: Vertx Everyday Day Fanny Pack 2.0. This is both my daily driver and my favorite travel accessory. It’s built for conceal carry which I use when I’m wearing things like Joggers or workout shorts, and because the main compartment is Velcro lined, you can find tons of Velcro accessories for organizing it. Has a front pocket with mesh pockets inside and a hidden back pocket that fits a large iPhone. It’s my absolute favorite. Highly underrated as it’s a conceal carry bag and not a “travel” or “tech” bag but it’s well built and surprisingly affordable.
I’ve been thinking about the Mini Tensile sling but carry too much right now. My go to currently is the Defy Parker Pack 2.0, which is definitely a BIFL Fanny pack.
Hey keep up the good work loving the content! My previous day pack was the cycop day pack, I used it for a year or so. Now for the past year I’ve been using the Onli 3 in 1 but they just came out with the second version. I would love if y’all would review it plus their 5 in 1 duffle bag. I feel like it’s the best all rounder bag.
I had a Heimplanet Transit line sling, but I found that it would often start sagging as I walked along, so I sold it off. But more recently, I got a very simple sling as a gift, and it does not have the same problem. I think that's because it's not as rigid, so the shape will easily adjust, resulting in more friction between the sling and my clothes. But it's not waterproof, so it's not ideal if it starts raining. But it did make me think, maybe I can get a similar sling bag myself that IS waterproof.
I am yet to fall in love with any Aer product I've purchased. For the Sling look but with full pc capabilities I would rather switch to the Navigator Sling in the 10L or 6L flavor for pc or tablet config. To this day I travel most with my Nomatic Navigator 6L, the water bottle pouch is gimmicky but so clutch when you find the right water bottle.
i would LOVE a video of slings (or similar alternatives) for bustier women/larger women. I would love a sling but all of these seem to have straps that slice me in half
I for one would prefer slings around 8-10 litres. Especially for long flights so can keep iPad,Bose headphones, chargers, travel documents etc so can keep pretty much anything you need quick access to with an arms reach. So won’t have to climb over people next to you as often
Need expandable and/or modular slings. I want something where I can take a portion off and throw in my backpack that holds the basics. Or to be able to dump things in and move them back and forth since it's expandable.
I reckon the Aer Tech Sling 3 verges on being too large and cumbersome for a sling and a 12L backpack at this point is a better balanced piece of gear (like the Alpaka Metro backpack or Aer's own City Pack). For that size and for travel specifically, I find the Pacsafe Vibe 325 to be much better suited (though it only fits a 13 or 14 MBP unwrapped, but with a 1-bag carry-on I would pack the laptop in the backpack anyway)
The Arc'teryx bag gets dinged because of its large logo but the Kånken Hip Pack gets a pass? I guess the whole point of getting a Fjällräven is to signal you're "cool" with that giant circle.
Why nothing from Tomtoc folks? I own an Explorer T21 M/7L and it’s phenomenal. Didn’t have to sell a kidney just to afford it. I also own a 4.5L from them.
Oh Arc'teryx. Sorry. I'd been listening, not watching, and didn't hear a name. BTW. I just got an Alpaka mini tech case in the dark purple. Gonna try that for a bit. My fav has been an out of date Lululemon that wasn't designed to be a sling, so the fabric tears so I had to stich a ribbon to hold it together, but it's otherwise perfect and I love it. I've used to for marathons.

One "MAIN" Bag 😉
Hahah 1.5 baggers unite! 🤣🤣
The Arcteryx Granville Crossbody is a great choice if you want something slimmer!

- Did I miss anything regarding Alpaka that made it not in this list ? I had quite a few from them and boy are they comfy and packable !

That's the spirit 😂😂😂
I am surprised that none of the slings from TomToc were mentioned
greenroom136 makes also great slings but I think they have never covered them

The first one by Evergoods works for me.

@@livi116 That can't be the reason since the listed Minaal

Bellboy sling lite is my favourite

Still waiting to see you review Sipsey Wilder products! They make LOTS of fun and really functional gear!!

Personally I like the 5L sling from pakt

Curious that your top rated item in the Slings and Waist Packs category, the Aer CS2, does not get featured

The TomToc Aviator slings should have been on this list.
There's always next time! But, we do have a full review on the tomtoc Aviator-T33. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/aI_wKKmQuiI/v-deo.html
@@PackHacker I already it bought it after that and a couple other reviews. It's a great sling!
Agreed! Tomtoc slings are just as good as any of the ones on this list and are more affordable too.
Evergoods CAS2 is the GOAT 🐐
no bellroys? those bellroys are damn good
No bellroy! Me happy 🎉😊
😂😂😂

Also, surprised by the lack of Bellroy Venture Sling 2.5L, I thought it was Tom's fave for travel

no tomtoc aviator 3.5l?
Have you tried the niid fino?
Can you please let me know who makes the orange, minimalist wallet you are using in your demonstration.
sad that Rework Toshi Sling didn't make it to this year's list
Why nothing from Tomtoc folks? I own an Explorer T21 M/7L and it’s phenomenal. Didn’t have to sell a kidney just to afford it. I also own a 4.5L from them.
Bellroy Venture Ready Sling is by far the best on the market right now
😂😂😂
What's the name of the lavender sling? I didn't catch a name.
Hey! Are you referring to the Arc’teryx Mantis 2 Waist Pack? packhacker.com/travel-gear/arcteryx/mantis-2-waist-pack/

No Alpaka or Bellroy!!?? Sooo... did i miss something?
No Tomtoc love?
Just wished they didnt count slings as personal items sometimes 😅
😳😳😳
@PackHacker haha i have experience from going to Japan and Hong Kong in early november, trip was good but one airline was not
Who the hell design that arcteryx sling?

All the most outrageously expensive slings with associate links. Thumbs down
