If this Batman had gotten an ongoing series then they should have had a reimagined Bane as one of his villains. Bane is basically a luchador anyway, he'd fit right in. Plus it could be a great story about the dangers of performance-enhancing drugs in sports.
I feel like this comic shows that Stan "The Man" Lee still has that creative spark inside him. Aside from the ending this version of Batman is *good*. But Stan is still only human, so the quality of the comics as a whole fluctuates.
arguably, you can say him killing handz and getting reprimanded for it rather than praised would be the impetus for him to refrain from killing in the future, especially when you consider his bleaker origin.
Yeah, I'd gladly read a short run of this guy. Maybe leaning on the wrestling theme somehow, have him fight evil luchadors in and out of the ring or wrestle with alligators.
The "Why do you never remove your costume" bit would have been a perfect spot for a clip of "El Toro NEVER removes his mask!" from Jackie Chan Adventures.
I could see a legitimate reason for him "killing" Handz. As a wrestler, a standard move is to do a monkey flip on an incoming opponent, which is what he did, it becomes second nature to use certain moves during matches and based on his fame, he wrestled for quite a bit of time. So when Handz charged at him, he simply fell to his back and used his legs to propel him backwards, no point going for a sunset flip (flipping over the opponent to get a pin attempt) so throwing him back made the most sense. Perhaps he didn't realize there wasn't a lower floor 10 feet down to break his fall (That's my only complaint with Stan's story, he should've mentioned that to make it look like he was inexperienced in crime fighting instead of trying to kill him). But honestly, I love how Stan always keeps kayfabe going when he writes wrestling into his stories. But one question that is on my mind that he actually addressed in Amazing Fantasy #15 (and if you didn't notice the similarities, you really need to read up on your comics lol) and that is, how did he gain his wealth without letting anyone know his identity under the mask? Local shows will pay in cash, that's true. But once you start getting endorsement deals and things like that, they will always pay by check so they can write it off for tax purposes. Minor quibbles aside, I would love to see them introduce these versions of the characters into one of the world's of the DCU and see them make more stories with them.
RowdyRodimus I was thinking they should give this a small reboot, fix up some minor things, and some more and make it into a small show. Each episode can be about 3 minutes (trust me a lot can be done in that time and it could get a big audiance online) and slowly build up to 15 minute or even half hour specials (if they want to be daring). What do you think?
Stan Lee Creating Batman. You need a more tragic backstory? The mugger not only shot his mother and his father but he also shot his little jack russell named Scruffles too. No Scruffles, not you too! More tragedy.
This was definitely one of the more solid interpretations of the DCU heroes by Stan Lee. While Superman was a total disaster, this version of Batman gelled perfectly. It also helps that legendary artist Joe Kubert was on board for this gem.
(Created when the episode came out) "Douchy McNitpick voice" No it says "Handz no feet", I'm guessing because his hands are all he needs or some stupid crap like that....., DOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH! "Ends impersonation" Oh great a new character for the show. WOW Aang you really let yourself go!
This is easily my favorite episode of the show! Love how Stan chose to go with a more grounded Batman origin, oh sure the character himself is essentially grounded somewhat but this version hit closer to home to a lot of people in my humble opinion!! Great vid #linkara
I like this one a _lot_ better than the Superman one. It’s radically different (which is, of course, part of the point), while still keeping enough familiar that it still feels like Batman.
Wow. The timing for this video couldn't have been better! You have Bone Button promotion for last year's Longbox Of The Damned: Midsummer's Nightmare, while this year's is going on! Well played, Lewis...
I really wish it had been Wayne who'd suggested the upgrades to his costume, and just needed Fred to make it work; it would've been a way to bring that whole prison library thing to fruition and showed that Wayne does have some intelligence. Like Linkara, I wish this was a real thing.
Not gonna lie, this is a pretty good interpretation of Batman, I would like to see a crossover between these the Bruce Wayne Batman, and the Wayne Williams Batman.
Danny Caracciolo Stan Lee doesn't work for Marvel anymore. He only gets royalties from them. He's mostly retired now. But this was created when he was a free agent, if I remember correctly this was before he founded his own company. Which that company stole from him.
I want you to know this for your creative confidence, but after seeing this video's intro I looked at your page and was persuaded to subscribe in finality by how very well done your channel trailer was. I enjoy your brand of rhetoric, and I enjoy the humor that your animations bring to it; quite pleasing to my own sense of humor. Your intro piqued my interest, while your channel trailer sealed the Subscription. Well done, my good sir. I do hope to see more of what I've enjoyed thus far.
I wouldn't mind an ongoing about this version of the Dark Knight. Sure, he may not be much of a Detective (in this story anyway) but it would be quite interesting, perhaps see some reimaginings of some villains like Bane for instance (he would fit right in the wrestling motif)
@10:42-11:14 & 12:32-12:58 YAY!!! BONE BUTTON'S DEBUT; and I only KNOW of THIS Character from the Contest of Champions Story Arc(which FINALLY gets a continuation for the first time SINCE the Pandemic Began)
Imagine if Handz was written as a full-time Batman villain, sat on a chair that looks like a giant hand and said things like “Things just… got out of HAND.”
Did they ever do anything with these comics past the first issues? If not why even end on vague cliff hangers if there was no possibility of continuing the stories?
Riko Wolfin It was a 13 comic oneshot. There is a Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Aquaman, Shazam/Captian Marvel, Flash and a few others. There is a Justice League comic based in this Universe too.

Brian Le Wolfhunt The robber didn’t die at the end of Amazing Fantasy #15. He actually came back in Amazing Spider-Man #200 and died of a heart attack. His niece appears in a future story and tries to expose him but I don’t remember how it ended.
You made a Tumblr joke, but I expected a joke about the Tumbler from The Nolan Knight movies, considering the Batman connection... Well, we can't really say that The Nolan Knight is Batman related, but it has a guy dressing up as a Bat calling himself "Batman", so it could still work.
I think I like this Batman more than the original. I like the story and the character. I kinda wish he had his comics. Maybe to fix the Dead Handz problem maybe you could use comic book logic saying he didn't die from the fall and that his face was damaged to make it look as if it was a permanent smile and be made into Batman's rival by the weird cult. Basically, be the Joker to this Batman. But hey that's my thoughts, maybe something more outlandish could be done.
I've noticed that Bone Button is in a new association with each appearance, which reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask you. What exactly led you to choosing that particular font for the wrestling companies(?) Bone Button is part of?
Hey Linkara! What is you opinion on the MMPR movie Reboot (Ranger/villain costumes) so far? Also, just imagine if Stan Lee created Pokémon, Power Rangers, or Ninja Turtles. XD
For long i looked for these vídeos. Never found them on UA-cam. Then i found Linkaras site! I watched a couple of episodes. Now that i have discovered the vídeos on his site, its when he decided to post it on UA-cam.... 😣

Agreed. While his rendition of Superman was a mess, this one was more spot on.

It would make sense considering the nature of Batman in this.
"Spoilers" It IS!
I wonder if I can get Stan Lee’s autograph in heaven...

Hands and Feet was a reference to Knightmare. "my name is Mr. Hands, you know hands like feet but the other way 'round."

Also pretty sure his jacket says “Handz, no feet”
This one does feel like a retread of Spider-Man. Revenge story, wrestling beginnings, and killing the bad guy at the end of the origin story.
