Thanks for the review. I don't hear much about Giant these days, especially in the Trail Bike space. Probably still won't be on my list, but I'd give them a demo if they came through town. I just visited Fullerton Bicycles... Great service and selection. Staff were very service-oriented. Thanks for showcasing them.
Such an underrated bike! Goes up hill just as good as downhill. The epitome of what a trail bike should be. Giant for some reason just doesn’t market like other brands.
Good one Mo. We met in Revelstoke. Hi! I own a bike shop. Lots of things I could be riding and I typically have a fleet of 3 mountain bikes (at least) because... well because I can and love playing on bikes. Well, that was until I rode the Trance X. I have never loved a bike so much that I didn't want to ride other bikes. I ditched my enduro bike, my marathon bike and another 140/150mm bike because the Trance X was just so perfect. Part of that was fit. Part was how the bike rode. Part geo and suspension performance. Agreed about the DT storage. Not a feature I care about to start with and definitely when it is borderline not useful. I'd rather they just ditch some frame weight. Oh, I switched to a higher rise bar, so I guess that supports your low stack point. I'm 6'1 and on a Large, spent the last bit with the flip chip in the steep/high bb mode for riding lots of desert rocky tech. Great friggen bike!
Cool review. Agree on the in frame storage. Just built up a new old stock 2022 Trance X that had a bit less travel and no in frame storage. Not many miles on it but have high hopes. They make a great bike. My 2016 Glory will not die and my 2019 Trance is on it third bearing swap but after many hard miles is still going strong. My son had a 275 Trance a few years ago. They are very good bikes. Giant has had tons of experience dialing their frames.
I had a trance x ebike and it was great, glued to the ground. 140/150 also. When watching your footage the rear end had a lot of side to side wheel deflection or maybe flex, it was noticeable!
I used to gravitate aroud "hip" brands before owning a giant reign and then and trance x29 the only giant I bought before was a 1994 cadex in the 1990's I was on a 2016 bronson then during a trip I rented a Reign, wow, the bike's was a freakin riot. Currently I have a new trance x mullet and I love that thing, pretty stout in mullet form it can take anything even with the limited 140 travel...
Which is a shame and I'm the same way. Most of the time i forget Giant exists. They're in a weird situation where in my mind the big companies were always specialized, Trek, and Giant. But Trek and Giant juat don't exist in my brain when I think about buying a bike.
I’ll admit it’s a bit of a conspiracy theory, but since almost every other brand is a Giant customer my thoughts always been that “dark horse” position in the consumer mind has been deliberate. They’re great bikes though.
My Trance X E+ is amazing uphill with the way maestro works with the extra assist and downhill or jumping feels crazy stable. When I ride my Anthem x I don’t feel like it handles XC trails enough better to justify the shorter travel
I have a Giant Trance Advanced Pro 29 120/130. I found it kind of harsh and really feel the trail, is it just my setup or is it just the way most 120/130 bikes feel?
And I'm a little confused by your statement. He literally had a section on every video talking about what he doesn't like about each bike. Are you not watching the full videos? The biggest take away is that pretty much all bikes are really good now. It's been that way for almost 4+ years where you can almost blindly pick out a bike and it's going to be good (of course with some various exceptions). The main thing you need to think about is what kind of riding you do and like. From there pick the bike that suits you.
Basically what all the above comments say. All of these bikes are really good in their own way. I point out in each video what I don’t like or done prefer. It would be really easy for me to come on here and over dramatize the negatives for clicks but at the end of the day, it’s almost 2025 and it’s tough to find a bike that’s not good in its own way. There is a bike for every rider out there and my job is to help describe each one! Plus, these are bicycles. It should be fun! If not, than we are probably doing something wrong…

Fullerton bikes is so awesome!!!
Love my Trance. But you're killin it with this series, man.
Thank you!!
Giant is the biggest bike company in the world and gives you the best bang for the buck. I've owned an anthem and two trance 29ers, they're all solid.
They are huge that’s for sure!
spot on....built up a giant trance x....its great....mega light too. 150/135 @ 25.6 lbs!
Such an underrated bike! Goes up hill just as good as downhill. The epitome of what a trail bike should be. Giant for some reason just doesn’t market like other brands.
Probably because they are also the world’s biggest bike manufacturer, making things for other brands as well!
Love my giant trance x. I weight weenied it. It’s down to 25.6. lol.
@@skinny8019i have what i thought was a pretty light trance build at 28! Lol
@@KlintonSilvey hehe hold my beer.

So true, they are awesome!!
2021 trance X frame..advanced is the sweet spot.
Thank you for throwing out the trail names while you are on them.
No problem!
Great review! On any bike the deal breaker for me is the in frame storage under the water bottle.. not a great idea imho.

Giant is crushing it with that bike!!
I like your reviews. Can you review the GT Sensor Carbon Pro LE. Thanks again for all you do.
Thank you! They are welcome to get in touch!
Simplest looking bike IMHO. I like the look of the Trance and Alpine but I'm just more interested on the Alpine because they said it adjustable.
I've never felt moved by giant.
That's why I have two pack of 100 amazon cat stickers on my trance x.
To give it personality 😂

The Trance X - everything the Stumpy wants to be
I disagree but conclusion coming soon!

Wow, this one looked so much rougher than the other bikes.
I am a little confused 🤔 you say every bike is good. That’s not possible is it? It would be nice of you to point out the downfalls of these bikes
I suspect all here bikes are good. He’s point out the differences as some may be a better fit for you and your terrain.
And I'm a little confused by your statement. He literally had a section on every video talking about what he doesn't like about each bike. Are you not watching the full videos?

It’s great that you are still reviewing analog bikes👍. It would be cool if you in 1 trail hardtail in as a Wildcard🤙🏻
That would be rad!!
This bike gets less respect that Trek. Only thing that’s turned me off is the reach is a bit long.
It’s an awesome bike! Reach adjust would help with that!
While the Raptor is cool (but a gas guzzler), we dont need every video to start with you putting on shoes ;)
hahah Crankbrothers was a big reason we were able to make this series happen, have to show them some love and appreciation!!
Giant bikes are the ugliest bikes to me
Your reviews would be a lot more enjoyable if you didn't run your sentences together. Slow down and pause between sentences.
There are 11 bikes to review, no time to pause sentences 😂
I've run into Mo on these trails on several occasions. The Mo in the vid is the same Mo on the trails. Asking him to speak differently is just...weird
How’s your own UA-cam channel going?
