@@LeonPaxton - yeah but we spent most of the time skating them on Sundays and still dealing with rent-a-cops, council rangers, the police, or upset public. Street skating was often a conflict of some form, which I always disliked about it. I can think of many instances where Joe Public turned up with some hard object in their hand and rage in their eyes. And all we were doing was skating.
I've been getting requests about that for a while now so I'll try and remember to go over my set up every now and then lol For this whole Melbourne trip I was riding this 9.5" symmetrical razor egg from Heroin, 9" Ace AF1 hollows and then 54mm Spitfire Radials 👌🏼
If you get a chance Keillor Downs is another great park in the same area built at about the same time and has a good mix of transition, ledges and rails.
As someone who goes to this park a lot, it's one large bummer is the lights which don't light up even a third of the park, are dangerously dim and turn off an hour after sunset, making them a complete waste of money. Other than that though it's an amazing park for slightly older and less gnarly street skaters
Dammit why can’t we have something like that where I live? It’s like they acknowledged that low effort skaters like myself exist and built a park for us. I feel so seen!
It’s certainly picking up more now. My tiny little home town in the country is just about to get a million dollar park by convic. Can’t wait to skate that when I go home to visit! We also have 2 Olympic gold medalists in Australia baaaazing ! 🏅 so I think stuff like is putting Australia on the map for skateboarding.
Is the nollie bs flip acceptable? 😅
Rolling away, it’s a make bruz!
Hunnneddddddd
hell no 😋
I think we have enough parks that are full of transition. It's nice to have street oriented parks and plazas.
Yeah dude, I don’t mind at all if there’s no transition at skateparks lol
Thanks for the heads up, another one that looks old-man-friendly to chuck on the list
Yeah dude, it’s so fun and so chill 👌🏽
@@LeonPaxton Burnside and Werribe have pretty cool skate parks; both not ages away from St. Albans
Me and the boys would have died for a place like that back in the 90s!!!!
This would have been perfect back then but I guess street skating was so popular because you would find real spots with these features too

That’s very true! It would have been nice to have a dedicated space like this to skate without having to deal with authorities!
Should hit up Delahey skate park if your still in the area. Slightly smaller than st Albans, but it's has the best flow in Melbourne
I’ll have to hit that one next time I’m down there, thanks 🙏🏽
Loving every vid bud 🇦🇺👌
Thanks legend!
the tiled hips & the bank to ledge look super fun
They feel so good to skate across too 👌🏽
Wow that park looks so amazing!
It’s so sick! I wish I got more time there though lol
this legit looks like my dream park, holy moly 😍
Yeah dude, it's so sick!
I would love a shooort, short overview of "todays board setup" in the intro of these videos. Cheers!

I live in Melbourne, only seen clips of this park, never realized how good it actually is
Yeah it’s actually so sick!
If you get a chance Keillor Downs is another great park in the same area built at about the same time and has a good mix of transition, ledges and rails.
I didn't get to on this trip but I'll add that one to the list for next time, thanks!
That nollie bs flip was sick brother
Thanks dude!
Sick to see you showcasing some Melbourne spots. Keen to see where else you’ll visit.
Pretty much just the most recently built parks but I wish I got more time to check out all the streets spots there!
Lots of great skateparks in Melbourne!
There's actually way more than I expected lol
I wish I had time to visit more while I was there though!
lol. I grew up as Keilor downs as my local. St albans would have been about the same distance. Born in the wrong year.

Damn that’s annoying! Yeah there seems like there’s no point even turning them on lol
The park itself is really good though 👌🏽
AYE Im a local at this park man glad to see it get it get some love
My brother is in the back round at 2:23 LOL
That’s sick, you’ve got such a good local park!
What trucks are you running with for 9.125 egg board again Leon?
This is a 9.5” egg and I’ve got 9” Ace AF1 hollows on it. This board is 9.1” over the trucks so trucks fit pretty close to flush 👌🏽
Is public transport near the park?
Yes
I hope so but I have no idea lol
Beautifully designed park
Yeah, it's so sick!
Yeah bro this is my favorite park
It's so fun!
Sick skatepark
It’s so sick, I wish I had more time there!
@LeonPaxton the mini manaul pads in L shape is sick
That was harder to get around than I expected too lol
If your in Melbourne hit up Werribee skatepark ive heard very good things about it!
yep and if your closer to the city hang around north melbourne at night and meet the beautiful african community
I really wanted to hit that one but I had limited time in Melbourne and had to make some cuts 😢
@LeonPaxton Aww damn that sucks
For anyone wondering it pronounced St All-berns. Or Stab All-berns for the locals 😅
Dammit why can’t we have something like that where I live? It’s like they acknowledged that low effort skaters like myself exist and built a park for us. I feel so seen!
This style of skatepark should be everywhere lol
Looks like a nice park for old blokes. Very user friendly.
Old != lack of skill and ability. Even if it did, this park looks like it suits people of all skill levels.
It really is man, so fun too!
What's with Australia spending so much on skateparks? Would never see that here in Canada 😡
It’s certainly picking up more now. My tiny little home town in the country is just about to get a million dollar park by convic. Can’t wait to skate that when I go home to visit! Just watch out for the locals. Lots of sketchy meth heads around there.
that bs nosegrind!
Thanks dude, love that trick!
