Cool. The set I have, (purchased, not made) has carpet as opposed to sand. It makes them much lighter and easier to transport. The two sides have locking clasps that make the halves connect into a cube for travel. Great to see another version. Good video.
I understand the sand concept but we like the challenge of the washers bouncing out because it makes the game more challenging. However, this is very cool! Cheers 🍻
I'm building three sets now, and I'm using an idea I found on another site. Still gluing the pipe, but for added strength w/o being ugly, I'm running a few #4 wood screws through the plywood and up into the pipe. Use construction adhesive, not just glue.
Boxes are set 21 feet apart. 3 points in the pipe 2 points in the box 1 point if 1 foot outside the box 0 points if further than a foot -Washers closer than your opponents cancels their points out Ideal to play 1 on 1 or 2 on 2
I guess it's because his miter saw can only cut narrow or short pieces (ex. 2x4s) since it's an ordinary miter saw. The game-changer here in this situation is a sliding miter saw.
I putting sand in there I think that's wrong you're supposed to be able to put it back together as one piece and carry it to another your next area you want to play. So you should have had a lock on one side of it on each box. Most people put a small cloth on the very bottom
Excellent instruction video. Great game. I would not use drywall screws, as they will rust. Zinc all the way. Also, attach the chain near the bottom of the box, not near the top. It should be 21' long, or whatever your local rules stipulate.
Your videos get better every week. Keep up the great work!
Great build! Love this game too!

Great project, funny game, well executed. Thanks for sharing.
What kind of boards are they?
Great job Eric.
Love the sand idea!
Nice job. I like the sand idea to keep the stupid washers from flying all over the place.
Carpet instead of sand, and your game is portable.
How strong is that epoxy by itself for the pipe? Does it hold strong enough for a long time?
Great Video Eric!
Nice project Eric!
Very interesting game I've never seen it before
I will but awesome project by the way
Does the glue keep the PVC pipe in place?
I wanna know the same thing

omg SAND!! great idea.. so how long is the chain?
Hello, would you happen to have use and rules of the game?
Boxes are set 21 feet apart.
3 points in the pipe
2 points in the box
1 point if 1 foot outside the box
0 points if further than a foot
-Washers closer than your opponents cancels their points out
Ideal to play 1 on 1 or 2 on 2
What does the chain do?
Sets the distance between the 2 boxes.
Why do u still make cross cuts on the table saw when you made a great miter saw station

Played this game; its fun and great at BBQs. Thanks. On my to do list. :)

Reminds me of the scenes in Vikings where they flip a coin
What is it supposed to do
RED WINGS? What is with all these wood work guys being Wings fans?

👍
I don't agree with the sand addition at all. It's not Horseshoes. Some of the most exciting shots are when they hounve around and end up in the cup.😕
Poor mans horse shoes
Make it wooden with the help of the Woodglut instructions.
Never heard of this game, looks like a version of horseshoes? Nice build 🤓👍
FYI: The Sand should be placed in the Trash Can. Not inside the Boxes; at all. Solid build though.

The game wouldn't be as fun with sand
Actually it's way better with sand, i can't stand playing without it
