Like many others have said, I watched countless build videos before coming across this one, and this definitely takes the cake! You compile all the greatest features of other boards into one! Thanks again
I ordered the same hole saw from amazon and received it today and it works great. I’m making a set of boards for my son’s wedding. Not as fancy as yours but they’re looking good. I’m a 60 year old woman so anyone can make these if you have a few basic tools.
Best cornhole board video ive seen so far! thanks one idea I saw from another video's comments: somehow put a compartment for a 27' length of string, so that you can measure the distance apart without needing to bring a tape measure
one tip i found that really helps on the legs is to put a 1/16" shim under the leg (between the leg and bottom of the platform) before drilling for the carriage bolt. that way it ensures theres space to rotate without sanding. when i started cornholes i learned off of your original and then modified so i really appreciate you. ive sold tons of em
Bag storage can be between the boards by installing two cross braces of 1x 4 in center of each board...no need to put a lid on...when the boards are buckled together the bags stay within the cross pieces...just screw them 7" apart on the interior of the boards...also put a length of small rope 35 long inside and you have a complete game set....35 feet back to back on boards and also helps line up boards....
Hi Tonylyn! Great to hear from ya, and hope things are well down in Australia :) Small world, I grew up in Aberdeen, SD. Have fun building your boards and cutting that grass! We are snowplowing up here the next 5 months :) Cheers!
This video made me subscribe, donate money, & download the plains! Now all I have to do it take a trip to the hardware store!! Can’t wait to check out your other videos, hopefully they motivate me like this video did!
Great Video! I downloaded your plans and build to sets already. One thing I notice on your video was that the rubber feet on the side of the hardware are not need it on that side of the board. Beside that Excellent video and nice yard keep it up.
Hey Pete. Man, your home is really coming together. It a huge difference today from what it was when you first started and posting videos buddy. Well done!
Great project! I would recommend putting a piece of metal inside the storage compartment to hold the magnetic score trackers safe and sound as not to lose them in transport.
Pete, thanks for the awesome video! I will definitely be adding this to my list of projects. I love that you continue to represent the Minnesota sports teams. Go Twins!
Hey Pete! I'm going to give this a go after I finish up my cooler project. Bag sounded perfectly normal to me ;-). Alexandria MN here, enjoying the fall colors. Awesome project! Cheers!
Great to hear from ya Ross! Nice work with the cooler project and good luck on the boards :) Hope all is well over in Alexandria. I grew up in Aberdeen, SD and went over to Alexandria growing up with my church group to ski at Alexandria tower hills! Cheers and GO TWINS!
Wow, thanks so much for subscribing! I appreciate it, and am excited to have ya on the journey. Thanks for the kind words and I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Cheers! - Pete
Dude, I’ve been building these for a year now and the legs have been the bane of my existence. You’re method made it seem so dang easy! Thank you for this.
Ha Ha, I was just laughing and wondering what a "BEG" was 🤣 when you commented about many comments about the way you say "BAG". I just thought that was funny as well. Ok, sorry enough picking on you. I have a sister-n-law who pronounces it that way so I got a little used to it. Still catches my attention tho lol. She also say "PALLOW" instead of PILLOW"! HAHAHA!!! Anyway ... Great job on this content man. And on the boards as well! I was looking for the hole size and placement and stoked I clicked on your video of the MANY there are to choose from cause you gave me some other great ideas. Here's to fun with family and friends and ICE COLD 🥶 beverages while throwing "BEGS"! 🍻 😜
Really great tutorial! The only other thing I add to my boards is a 30' tape measure mounted to the inside front of one board with a notch to pull the tape out. I'm working on a set of metal stake collapsible drink holders to mount underneath, but I love your integrated ones.
Great job, as always, Pete! I recently completed cornhole boards from your previous video. I will have to try to add some of the enhancements you added to your new set. Thanks again for providing great DIY videos!
Thanks for sharing. I love the added drink holders, can opener, score board and "bAg" storage (lol). Very nice set of boards and very well explained. Took a quick look at your type of content and instantly sub'd. I landscape for a living and can appreciate a nice fresh cut. I look at a lawn like a blank canvas and enjoy creating a new piece of art with my lines. I also love hockey and noticed a video of a beautiful backyard rink👍. Can't wait to see all your diy vids after I finish rambling on. On that note, thanks so much for all the great content to catch up on.
Hey Eric! Great to hear from you bud. That's awesome you are in the landscaping biz and also play hockey. Thanks so much for subscribing and have a great week man!
Yet another wonderful tutorial - I like the upgrades and new features of this set. Project plans are *super thorough* and easy-to-follow. Love it Pete, keep it up!
Hey Pete... how bout mounting a boat style cup holder that swivels to the inside of each leg instead of the cross piece which I don't install....I like the legs to be adjustable as far as swinging down to level up....
Question for you, I really like the design and I'm going to attempt this over the next week between work and home life. One of the last steps you add rubber "bushings" for edge protection but then you put on the handle. Dose the handle hit the ground instead of the rubber stop? If so would you just leave off the rubber stop or modify it somehow or use a different type of handle? Thanks, great job.
Just a note about your orientation of the pocket hole screws. I noticed you put the holes on the inside to obviously hide the holes, but that forces you into screwing in the shallow end of the opposing board, which creates a very weak joint. Far weaker then a but joint. I only point this out because a lot of people don't know that and it's important when working with the Kreg pocket hole system.
If I'm not mistaken, he used wood glue in conjunction with the pocket holes which doesn't make the location of the pocket holes a big deal. Or, was I dreaming that he said glue???
Think of wiid as a bundle of straws. If you push your finger through the side towards the end grain there isn't much there to prevent the straws from seperating and allowing your finger to come out. Going the other direction means the screw has more grain to prevent the screw from popping out.
Thanks! this was a great video and good enough to build my first boards based upon this. I didn't get the drink holders installed, and didn't have enough room with the ordered score tracker on one end to add the clips to hold them together but this was an EXCELLENT tutorial. Much appreciated!!
Try 180-200 grit out a orbit. You'll thank me later.. Great build! For your bags you can make slots with them, also for security you can buy strap and staple from from to leg so no overextended problems or wear..
Great build. I prefer brush paint and polyurethane over spray. They came out sweet hope you get to play often. I'm sure we could get into hours long contests with some cold beverages.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Thomas! Yeah I prefer brush paint as well. Tried the spray on this one and will be doing brush for the next one like I did on a previous video. Cheers!
Well, hey Pete! Nice to meet you! Pete is a good name! :-) Have a great week man and thanks for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment. Cheers.
Like many others have said, I watched countless build videos before coming across this one, and this definitely takes the cake! You compile all the greatest features of other boards into one! Thanks again
Hey Pete! Great job! Just wanted to add, if you're not wanting to buy a 6" hole saw, a router and circle cutting jig work great as well!
I first made a set from your original plans. Glad i came back to take a look. This video is even better than the first.Thank you.
Great ideas and tutorial. A 2 5/8 hole for beverages is as small as you can go without boring it out more. It's perfect!
I ordered the same hole saw from amazon and received it today and it works great. I’m making a set of boards for my son’s wedding. Not as fancy as yours but they’re looking good. I’m a 60 year old woman so anyone can make these if you have a few basic tools.
Great work!
Best cornhole board video ive seen so far! thanks
one idea I saw from another video's comments: somehow put a compartment for a 27' length of string, so that you can measure the distance apart without needing to bring a tape measure
Just built 6, I purchased your plans. Outstanding.. thank you they are a charity build for my sons school.
Looks great! This is like the Rolls Royce of cornhole boards.
Thanks! :)
exactly what i was thinking.
A simple elastic cargo net stapled to the underside would be a great weight reducer. Nice build Pete, love it!
That's be a great way to add some more storage, awesome idea!
one tip i found that really helps on the legs is to put a 1/16" shim under the leg (between the leg and bottom of the platform) before drilling for the carriage bolt. that way it ensures theres space to rotate without sanding. when i started cornholes i learned off of your original and then modified so i really appreciate you. ive sold tons of em
Thanks so much!
LOVE IT. I always said there is room for improving things and you just showed it. Great work and excellent tutorial, Thanks.
Thanks for using 1x4s.
Most of the ones I’ve toted are built with 2Xs and are really heavy. The bag storage is great.
You bet! I agree, the 2x4 boards are super heavy. Cheers!
I’m going to mow my yard. Thank you from Australia. Born in South Dakota. I will let you know how I go building this corn hole set.
Nice mower.
Hi Tonylyn! Great to hear from ya, and hope things are well down in Australia :) Small world, I grew up in Aberdeen, SD. Have fun building your boards and cutting that grass! We are snowplowing up here the next 5 months :) Cheers!
Thank you for using the background music as white noise and not playing it so loud that it distracts from the great build.
You are welcome, and thanks for watching!
That "spotty" look on the inside actually looks really good
Thats awesome. Its like the Cadillac of Corn holes ! Nice work. Looks really good. I love all the extras. And the straps
Best cornhole DIY ever!!!!
Thanks Charlie! Hope it is helpful, cheers!
i LOVE that Kreg clamp. its so helpful!!
This video made me subscribe, donate money, & download the plains! Now all I have to do it take a trip to the hardware store!! Can’t wait to check out your other videos, hopefully they motivate me like this video did!
Awesome Mike! Hope all is well!

Hey Pete. Man, your home is really coming together. It a huge difference today from what it was when you first started and posting videos buddy. Well done!
Thanks J! I appreciate it man, lots of work but I'm starting to see some big differences too. Take care!
You did a great job one more thing i would of added is a built in string for regulation but great job man
Thanks Cheryl!
Thanks for sharing your step by step how to's on this build. I just finished building 3 sets, and it all came out looking really good.
Great to hear!
Great project! I would recommend putting a piece of metal inside the storage compartment to hold the magnetic score trackers safe and sound as not to lose them in transport.
Great idea!
great build! Thanks, Pete, for all the info.
This set is great. I made a set for friends as an anniversary gift they were a hit. Thank you!!
Wonderful!
Pete, thanks for the awesome video! I will definitely be adding this to my list of projects. I love that you continue to represent the Minnesota sports teams. Go Twins!
Thanks Jeff! GO TWINS!
Hey Pete! I'm going to give this a go after I finish up my cooler project. Bag sounded perfectly normal to me ;-). Alexandria MN here, enjoying the fall colors. Awesome project! Cheers!

That's an amazing piece of land you got there, Pete!
Thanks! It's been great to be out in the country. Cheers!
@@JavaZombie Its not MN anymore, by the looks of the scenery
That was Awesome, Best video on cornhole boards I have ever seen!!!
Thanks!
Great project!! Also... Bag all the way! I'm from Minnesota and moved to Indiana 20 some years ago. I miss hearing the correct way!!
Haha love it! Hope all is well!
Very nice build,I am going to stain mine and follow your style!! I am also in Montana!
Really nice tutorial! I am going to use your design to make mine!
Another great video! I liked the idea of using the thinner wood to make it easier to haul around and the led lights were a nice finish.
Thanks William! Have a good week!
Just started and I love it already.
Great to hear!
Great video!!! I need to build these for camping.
Super nice and simple.....right to the point, very detailed explanation, thanks 😎
Thanks!
Your presentation was very well done. I think I'll try one. Jake
Thanks!
Awesome project! Was super fun to work on it with you! Cheers from Bloomington, Indiana 👋
Thanks bro!
Well thought out. Thanks for sharing. Will be my go to plan. BTW, nice lawn over there! An essential piece to cornhole.
Thanks Robert! Have fun with the build.
Nice build Pete! You literally have everything on those cornhole boards!
Thanks!
Great video. I really appreciate the 1x4s as well and showing the alternate approach in building them. This will make a great summer project
Thanks!
Amazing video! Very thoughtful and thorough. God bless you!
Super detailed at every turn. Excellent video
Thank you very much!
Am inspired!
Maybe make one of those ring on a string games, where the player tries to catch the ring on a hook.
nice creation and my cousin used to play for the Minnesota Twins
Hey Joe! That is awesome! Who is your cousin?

These things are over the top! I just made some that are similar but with a bit of a twist. My video will be up next week. Great job!
Watching your video really helped. Thanks for the ideas. Cut my time down and they look better.
Glad I could help!
First time viewer, here. Great video and BEAUTIFUL property! Subbed

nice project. Beautiful view.
Great Video and great work. Beautiful scenery!

I suggest using dowels with a matching set of holes on the other board. This way it lines up easily every time when you go to stack them together.
Great idea!

Maybe a strip of metal underneath inside when closed up to transport would be nice to store the magnetic score indicators. Thanks for a great video.
That's a cool idea! I'm going to do that. Thank you!

Nice work Pete! 👍.. That's a cool corn hole set you built. I'm saving your vid so I can use it as a guide. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, thank you!
Great project and very easy to make! 😎
Where is the link for the LEDs lights from amazon???? Super nice job
Thanks for making it look easy with simple tools and plans. I plan on making some for family and friends. I greatly appreciate your video.
