Thanks for sharing this with us, dude. The one thing I enjoy most about Battlefield gotta the wonderful songs they can come up with. BTW love your work boi! Continue doing that I love it!
Did this the little face made you click teh button? ----˃ ._.
:)
What does front end mean? What does menu mean? Is the menu ones the ones used for the main menu or are the front end ones used in the main menu?
PackmanGaming Front end is main menu and menu is pause screen in game.
I saw "Attackers advance" and then I remembered there are no operations in Apocalypse. GOD DAMN IT!
The first song....When you realise this is the last Dlc for BF1 and soon this gem of a game will be forgotten by most... thank you battlefield 1 for making me and many others intrested in this forgotten war.
jackstone112 here here.
Well it was definitely not as good as bc2, bf4 or bf3 but it's definitely an amazing game that I'll never forget
Nitelynx96 bf4 was a piece of shit, that's what spawned hardline. I gotta be honest I didn't have high expectations for this game before it came out because of those two games but the first time I played it, it blew my mind.
I'm glad bf1 was my first game in the franchise
my first bf game I was committed to. Can't wait to play the next.
That first one, damn that's heavy
I think the soundtrack to BF1 (including all the DLC OST) is a contender for one of the greatest video game soundtracks of all time. Surely its composers won an award for it? If not, they bloody should have.
Classical Music11 nope they lost to DOOM 2016 .
Thanks for letting me know. I haven't heard the DOOM 2016 soundtrack so I cannot comment on that. It's shame the BF1 composers did not win.
BF1 has a good soundtrack, and some older Battlefield games (2142) have good songs too that were not composed by these people. Most of the time Battlefield has a good soundtrack.
Makes sense to take inspiration from Lord of the Rings; J.R.R. Tolkien fought in the Battle of the Somme with the Lancashire Fusiliers and spent most of the battle in a hospital with shellshock, but almost his entire unit was wiped out when it was over
Classical Music11 thier greatness should be left to time to judge just as the soldiers they are depicting
“French shells began to hit to the right and left of us, leaving human forms writhing in agony. Our advance came to a stop and after hesitating a few minutes we drew back while the artillery fire followed us, ripping large gashes in our formation - soon the French drumfire engulfed us, the air was filled with gas and flying pieces of steel.
We automatically mounted the machine gun for action. Then like animals, we burrowed into the earth as if trying to find protection deep in its bosom. Something struck my back where I carried my gas mask, but I did not pay attention to it. A steel splinter broke the handle of my spade and another knocked the remains out of my hand. I kept digging with my bare hands, ducking my head every time a shell exploded nearby.
A boy to my side was hit in the arm and cried out for help. I crawled over to him, ripped the sleeves of his coat and shirt open and started to bind the bleeding part. The gas was so thick now I could hardly discern what I was doing. My eyes began to water and I felt as if I would choke. I reached for my gas mask, pulled it out of its container - then noticed to my horror that a splinter had gone through it leaving a large hole.
I had seen death thousands of times, stared it in the face, but never experienced the fear I felt then. Immediately I reverted to the primitive. I felt like an animal cornered by hunters. With the instinct of self-preservation uppermost, my eyes fell on the boy whose arm I had bandaged. Somehow he had managed to put the gas mask on his face with his one good arm. I leapt at him and in the next moment had ripped the gas mask from his face. With a feeble gesture he tried to wrench it from my grasp; then fell back exhausted. The last thing I saw before putting on the mask were his pleading eyes.”
-T. Bradley, quoted in Ascoli, The Mons Star
Hard to imagine what men our age were experiencing 100 year ago
Reading this with the first song of this video.... Man....
If anyone is interested in stories like this, or the human aspect of WWI, then check out Dan Carlin's Hardcore History series.
Jesus.
My god......
Each DLC has a unique then to its music
*They Shall Not Pass* :Desperation, fanatic fighting and unknown outcomes
*In The Name Of The Tsar* : Motivation and that rush of morale
*Turning Tides* : Focusing on the grander Of The war and the various beautiful landscapes and locations it covered
*Apocolypse* : Sheer paranoia, sounds and sights that make you slowly lose your mind
33:18 that moment you start passchendaele , running into hell.
10:27 when the LMG 8/18 jams but the enemy already took the sector
this can also mean charging in the first wave of British soldiers at the Somme, or when your Italian troops meet the Austrians
I started the game yesterday and the first song started playing. It was then that I realized the last dlc had been released, and I just stayed on the opening screen until the song finished.
Eu também faço isso direto. kkkkkkkkkk
I remember hearing track 2 starting at 3:51 when I first started bf1 apocalypse.. it gave me goosebumps... and at 4:25 when the song picks up, at that second all I could think about, was a frightening scenario... it was an ally in a gasmask, standing still in the enemies trench surrounded by the bodies of the fallen opposing force and spent brass, gas everywhere, burning ashes raining from the sky like a ominous black snow. He is the only one to survived the 200 yard death run through no mans land.. when he hopped into the trench, everyone in it had either choked on gas or ate lead. And at this moment 4:30 through the thick fog of mustard gas and blizzard of ash, He see's an enemy soldier, 50 feet away on the far side of the trench. It was a young soldier who looks no older than 19 slumped over on the ground, back to the mud and wood wall, gasping for what the poor lad wanted to believe was fresh air, the glass eye lenses were cracked on the lads mask and the ally could see the lads horrified eyes locked on his foe standing before him, 50 feet away in the mud, the blood and the spent brass like death himself was the man. And at this moment 4:35 The ally soldier looks down at the side by side 12 gauge in his hands and looks back up at the young lad.. and starts towards him as he breaks the double barrel open and starts extracting the shells. Then, reaches in his coat pocket, pulls out two fresh 3 inch high brass shells and starts loading them in the gun as he slowly advances towards the lad. Walking through the trench, stepping over the lads now late band of brothers.. At 5:10, the man is standing over the lad, looking at him still and motionless through his mask.. The poor lad, suffering and barely alive, looks up at the icon of death towering before him petrified beyond any instinctive recognition, his heart is pounding out of his poor chest.. and for both of them, time stopped for what felt like years. The Ally, standing over the lad, looking into his tear and fear filled eyes, then hesitates.. and hangs his head low.. He realized what he had to do, as much as he knew it would haunt him for the rest of his life.. he lowered the muzzle of the side by side down to the lads heart.... they both closed their fear and sorrow filled eyes.. and at 5:50 the ally pulled the triggers.... he then keeps his eyes closed.. turns his back to the lad he just shot because He didnt want to bare the sight of what became of the poor lad on the buisness end of his shotgun... his knees buckle as he slumps to the blood and mud... this.. was the last thing he expected when he wanted to serve for king and country...but... he knew that if he didnt do what he did.. the poor lad would live through 30 more minutes of suffering... and then at 6:10 he starts to sob and starts hearing voices of his dead mates and enemies all around him... and finally.. at 6:25 you fade out from the ally, into a birds eye view of the entire ally trench, no mans land and the enemy trench..... and then everything goes dark when the song ends..... when you finish reading this.. start at 4:25 and let this play out in your head and it will be one of the most frightening thoughts of war any man can imagine.
I really appreciate that comment mate
Damn that 'lacrimosa' at the end struck me right in the heart
I will leave my comment here for a reminder, and your comment were really good. I love when People look deeper in things.
Menu music and spawn themes are absolutely stunning and dark, absolutely in love with this music, see people how important it is to get this right. Music is one of most important aspects of game, it can be immortal.
The Ending of a great Era!
I still remember the Bf1 reveal Trailer tht made the world go crazy!
Goosebumps
ahhh, the memories...
I remember this moment, it was fucking awesome
This was one of those games wich I will look back and say to others, “masterpiece”...
Game was no masterpiece, it has plenty of issues and bugs, but it was definitely fun.
This Soundtrack...A Masterpiece !... Very Apocaliptic... Very Brutal.... I Love BF... Always More Than a Videogame.
Onur Doğan very very true. well said
i cried to that soundtrack
its a war simulator
this epic Soundtrack is not rational explainable ! the beginning, the warm voices, that surrounding me...ist like the fallen soldiers are rising in ist GLORY...in its HONOR
goose bumps all along
Man, I don't want Battlefield 1 to die at the end of the year :'(
Schuster Long live BF1, but we'll be getting BF2018 in a couple months :P
Schuster same. I just love this game so much and the amount of joy it has brought me is amazing. I will be sad when it does die. Even if where getting a new battlefield that still makes me sad because I love this game. R.I.P BF1
Schuster it won't die for a while. Trust me.
I feel you man this game is just too epic. But don’t worry they have to go in the same direction as this one it was such a hit it’d be stupid not to.
I hope the next battlefield is a modern game with excellent music and gameplay
33:38 the start of round soundtrack makes these maps amazing by itself.
They entered on horse back with rifles and left on great dreadnoughts, flying beasts, and land crawlers, with great fearsome guns and gas masks...
...and the momeries of the countless dead they are leaving behind them...
Not to be a dick but dreadnoughts existed before world war 1
typical Stalin, has to butt in where it's none of his business and spoil the feels...
Gas the Commies I cringed at your comment
+James Atherton could be worse
The first song really makes you reflect on the horrors of the great war, that the game has captured so perfectly. But the sad thing is that this was unfortunatly never the 'War to end all wars'... may god have mercy on those brave men who laid their lives for their country.
The game didn't really capture the horror in anything other than the Maps. It's a bad representation of WW1, but still fun.
Jake Copus and yet it was all for nothing. A war to avenge the death of a leader. Austria struck back at Serbia. Russia attacked Austria, Germany attacked Russia, France jumped in at Germany, and Britain jumped in because they didn’t want to be left out. All that death, for what? A redrawn map? 6 empires fell, and left the world scarred, all so it could happen again 23 years later
Jake Copus ironoc isn’t it the war to end all wars when in reality it created some of humanity’s most gruesome conflicts which scarce could both figuratively and literally still been seen today
The soundtracks of this game have made me love it even more. The emotions in every DLC soundtrack is different, which makes them even more memorable. The soundtracks never fail to impress me. I just love this game so much. I hope the next Battlefield will be just as good.
oof
I can’t even describe how great and well done this is...
Thank you Johan Söderqvist and Patrick Andrén for this masterpiece and all the other ones from the previous DLCs ❤️
Alpha -9 These fuckers know composing. Every DLC has such amazing music, each appropriate for the region its events during the war. This ones perfect it sounds apocalyptic. Look out Hans!
battlefield 1 easily has some of the best music in the series, hell I'll even say in the whole gaming industry for the past 2 years.
This soundtrack is incredible, I daresay surreal, to experience. Truly the most redeeming part about this final DLC. To me, this is what music would sound like if it had shellshock. It's been a hell of a ride.
I hope dice re-visits WW1 in the future.
@@stormblood8866 no they werent
@@rambleroodle2369 Imagine replying to a 2 year old comment.
@@stormblood8866 LMAO
hahaha
Btw, BF1 is beautiful
@@stormblood8866 what has changed since then? They haven't released a single bf1 update nor did they release a new bf game
@@avocadoman6038 A new battlefield game is to come in the holidays of 2021, and battlefield 1 is no longer supported by DICE.
33:44 ok when I first heard that when I climbed over the trench line on sommr I fucking grinned and got goosebumps as a reaction to how amazing that little piece of music sounded. I know it’s a remix of the Italian campaign beginning but holy jesus is this A FUCKING EPIC REMIX!
You know, I would say "What a shame that BF1 has died." But I Stop myself because it really hasn't for me, the game in all aspects is still one of the best World War shooters I have ever been privileged to experience. And one of the HUGE aspects of these games that works is the storytelling. This was more than a game. And I think while the revenue matters a bit to DICE and the dev team, they obviously made this game for more than just the amount of people playing (still a very large amount at that). They made it to pay homage and tribute to those that joined the damnation of our entire species. We nearly wiped out the entire population not even 100 years ago guys!! They went through literal hell on Earth for what they thought was right, only to discover the true horror of war. Nothing else has been so horrific as this period of time, and the world and our history was completely altered because of it. Take time to thank and appreciate the guys that paid such a beautiful tribute to these fallen. It's what gaming is meant for, what art should be!
Clayton Aggeles honestly I don't think it's as good as bc2, bf4, or bf3 but I have to say that it's the best war world game I've ever played
Nitelynx96 yeah true it's hard to top bc2!!!
This war had no meaning, yet it crushed empires and formed states. Each side was evil and good. It was war between old and new world, horses and planes, spades and artillery. Most of time it was just sitting and waiting in horrible conditions occasionally interrupted by horiffic scenes od living matter consumed by chemistry and steel schrapnels. Land changed to desolated field covered by dead horses, stuck machinery and bodies of your friends. Mostly it was just fear. I am thinking about those survivors closed in asylums with shell shocks... poor souls.
Menu music is the best. So nightmarish and creepy, you really get the vibe of a hell on earth.
Or the four horsemen riding through the mordorish Battlefield
Some of these tracks just give you a really uneasy feeling. Like, I can picture hiding in a shellhole surrounded by bodies in various states of dismemberment and decay, waiting for nightfall when you can creep out and crawl through the mud and bodies back to the lines, hoping that a shell doesn't land nearby or a sniper is looking your way. Then suddenly one of the bodies grabs you and starts trying to kill you. You can't tell if its friend or foe, just that someone or something is attacking you in the dark in the middle of a corpsefield.
I just love this game so much and the amount of joy it has brought me is amazing. I will be sad when it does die. Even if where getting a new battlefield that still makes me sad because I love this game. R.I.P BF1
Supreme Leader Snoke yeah I love bf1 even though it's not bf3 or bf4 gameplay wise but still an amazing game
Those are good too but this is my first battlefield game I've ever owned
R.I.P Supreme leader...you will be remembered...
Nah... Supreme leader of what? Who tf were you, Snope?
Why'd you die like a bitch?
BattIefield
Hopfully we still a good 3-4 years out of it. Dam i love this game n it has soundtracks to match.
The first track makes me think of the 19 men who left the small village in Ireland that I live in and how they were entering a living hell at the Somme not knowing it. 18 never returned and the one that did return was my great great uncle who was shot by a machine gun and gassed. He didn’t speak of the war much.
Lets hope it doesnt have to happen again...
Battlefield 1 has absolutely been my favorite game thus far. It's way better than Battlefront 2, COD ww2, and miles better than that garbage called Fortnite.
yeah
Fortnut
what a way to end this “great war”
B u r R i T 0 good pun bad taste
Rest In Peace Unkown soldiers...☹️☹️
18:20 just imagine hearing that while you sit in your trench while you look at the rotted and dead bodies, gas mask and gas, mud, trees, fires, rain, the grey, brown and dullness of the battlefield, metal, wood, stone, bones, death and destruction. That song really made this game truly 10/10 for a ww1 game
AChubbyChode 34 Reposa, Spanish for rest.
tottaly true
That gave me goosebumps. Creepy as hell... literally.
you can listen a gas mask muffed respiration on the back ground...
Such an incredible soundtrack.
These musical scores are love letters to us fans that have stuck with BF1 all the way. More than a video game.
Nolan Chase I have stuck too it since June last year,I’m currently level 133
Best Part: 4:30 - 4:50
Favorite moments:
4:34 - 4:36
4:38 - 4:40
4:42 - 4:44
4:47 - 4:48
I love the parts where it makes the dark deep horn type of sound it sounds so cool. I think its the best thing battlefield ever done.
account meme dude i close my eyes and see the endless battlefield at this moment
I’d have to say the second song is my absolute favorite. It gets so intense and it sends chills down my spine every time I listen to it. The whispers in the beginning and end are creepy in their own sort of way, but it gets to me. Makes me think about all of the souls lost in the war, the ones who never went home, and must roam the battlefield forever in hopes of finding something they never will...good job on the composing to Johan Söderqvist and to Patrik Andrén. These guys have most definitely outdone themselves in the field of music. I hope to see their work in every battlefield game from here on out. Good Job Dice. I’ll never stop playing.
Bc of BF1, I stopped playing Cod. bF1 is just a masterpiece and with the unique soundtracks for each map, makes it even better.
hernan cortez you should play the older battlefield games they're amazing as well. The music isn't as good but gameplay is great
Welcome to the community bud
Nitelynx96 If by older games you mean 3 and 4 then I agree. But if you mean older games then I don't agree. 2142 and 2 had a great soundtrack. They weren't as big as these ones, though. Never played Bad Company so I dunno if that had a good soundtrack too.
And because of BFV, you started playing CoD
Theres something about the 15:50 soundtrack that gives the chills. The eerie whispering hints at the fact that the game has a darker meaning to it.
God damn true man
Hey I think I hear my dead comrades from limbo
1:36 Thumbs up for sweet f# to C progression
At the end of the second song you can hear someone saying ,,riposa, riposa '' wich means ,, rest '' in english... Riposa to all Soilders of Ww1...
McManus IM SICK OF YOUR LIP MCMANUS
Penguin DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT, I'VE RUN MORE FUCKING MISSIONS THAN YOU'VE HAD HOT DINNERS SON!!!
McManus JUST FUCKING GO
Nice EARS you got there
Riposa is in english?
All the new maps look like they take place in Mordor even the music reminds me of lord of the rings I love it
Josh ahoy why even reference it to load of the rings,i get were your coming from but let’s just appreciate this game and the way Dice has paid tribute to the people who thought that war was right until they realised the true horror of war:,watching there loved ones and friends die around them with bullets whizzing past your body while you’re sat in a trench begging for it to end and time to come to a standstill and then you realise you’ve dropped your gas mask while fighting for your country and you just except your death at that point.
Maybe I went a bit to far
Josh ahoy they say that J.R.R. Tolkien may have gotten the idea for those environments from WWI because he was there
Josh ahoy same:)
All 3 of the new maps. Yes they just made 3 for what was billed as going to be an epic DLC. But they had our money by then!
The best soundtrack in the game. Thanks for posting it! Hopefully elements from this will be brought to the next Battlefield
Being a marine for 10 years, the opening song makes me breakdown and weap for the dead. No one dies a heroes death in war. We have lost those closest to us and yet we must push on. But we will never forget them. Theyre sacrifices. They're bravery and courage.
Semper Fi, Chris.
This soundtrack puts music to an otherwise unheard of time in history...the worst part is you can still find the helmets, bullets, guns almost 100 years later. We've already forgotten.
It's strange to think that this is the end, and DICE will move on from BF1 from here on out. I haven't been quite so dedicated to a game in a long time--been looking forward to this since the summer of 2016, played it since the day it came out, poured about 1,100 hours into it over the next year and a half. This game has been pretty constant in my life since release and knowing that it's over soon makes me think back to how things were when I first started it. Lots has happened in my life since then and this game has accompanied me throughout all this time. Feels silly being so sentimental over it, but it's been a long, long time since I poured this much time into a game. I think back to combing over all the latest news for the newest DLCs, spending a summer making lots of friends on Origin while playtesting the Russian maps on the CTE, playing the ever-loving shit out of TSNP when it was finally released last spring. It was a wild ride this game took me on, and being along to watch it grow and develop over the past fourteen months has really been a unique and unforgettable gaming experience.
Jayson Ducharme I’m so attached to this his game because it saw me trough high school and gave me a newfound interest in War history and WWI in general
15:45 the Souls of The Forgotten generation
Genji Shimada They do the same effect in the original "Libera Me" that BF1 had when it came out, you can hear them in the background
This plays at the respawn screen of Passchendaele and its creepy asf.
Genji Shimada this show how huge amount of souls flow the battlefield
terrific
Rest In peace
4:42 this part really feels like the mechanical warfare
6:05 that music feels like death and despair...
I really feel the war in this music...
The most touching soundtrack of BF1
The gameplay could be better. But how they presented it with the soundtracks you really feel the horror of what ww1 was. I have to say battlefield 1 is a real art work
finnaly after searching it for 2 days this is what i was looking for
thank you so much
Some of the soundtrack legit made me scared, these soundtrack is always amazing. This one is the best imo.
It feels BF1 really ending.
12:20 glorious.
Listing to the first song makes me think of being on a battlefield after the fighting has stopped and seeing the aftermath and I think to myself, nothing no matter how great the cause is worth this. Weird feeling but that’s the power of good music.
bf1 is soundtrack is fucking good...didnt hear so good music in games for a while......
Best game soundtrack ever
calvin langford Go check Nier Automata lol
GEN NEV no looooool
Jonas Kubitza what?
The first record makes you wonder what it felt like for soldiers looking onto the battlefield and seeing all there fallen comrades
Thanks for this.
26:40
"This is the end"
The intro sound track gives me mass effect 3 title screen vibes.... Good stuff
06:00 Gets me evr time
The horrific sounds/voices with the steady beat of the drum makes it sound hellish
I’ve bn listening to the BF1 OST every day for 6yrs. Love it. Some of the best music I’ve ever listened to.
Haha the Menu track is like:
Ey you! Go respawn or ill scare the shit out of you with my suspenseful music!
3:51 so fucking good.
4:40 always hits me in the feels
Finally, thanks!
33:43 sounds so good
Yep
First song and the first song i heared after updating BF1...best theme ever. Directly tears.
4:00 & 6:23 give me heavy chills, I will never forget this game just because of this music.
That first round start theme is fucking fantastic. I always love dropping into Passchedale and hearing it. Gets me so pumped
R.i.p battlefield soon,I remember watching this trailer almost 3 years ago wanting this game so bad but I didnt have kept gen until I finally got a ps4 and this was my very first ps4 game,I started out being level 1 to being class rank 50 on every class,bf1 is one hell of a game
Bf1 is so much more beautiful then bfv .
They're all the greatest, but the song that plays when the round starts is the most amazing to me.
Imagine that, soldiers sprinting to their objectives, some screaming with their bayonets drawn, and the soundtrack kicks in.
15:42 Just wooow, 2spooky4me.
Dario Tahiri same...
you es correctes much spoopyness
What can only exist in memory lives in this soundtrack. The first song always sends chills down my spine. The innocent sacrifice, blind heroism taken from utter chaos and terror. What we have proven to be capable of towards one another is what we should never forget. Lives lost. Lives changed forever. A race forever scarred.
So good!
Lossy it really is. Especially the first one. 11 November 2018 I'll be listening to the first song here and realise that 100 years ago the great war ended...
jackstone112 try the song that starts at 26:23
God I love this game so much even though it can be so bullshit sometimes
I'm calling bullshit.
15:50 these are scary sounds
Really gives you those “world ending” feels. Especially the first track.
this soundtrack is so genious. so beautyfull so dramatic. The theme remeber me on "The Dark Knight" from Hans Zimmer
00:00-02:35 really makes you think about the men on the frontlines and what they were going through. This war changed history. May they never be forgotten.
You can tell the devs are saying goodbye throught their soundtracks
Man Made Hell 30:38. Love that sort of guitar riff.
me too
Reminds me of Kung fu Hustle's theme song.
DanMinigun cmon man, guitar is already overrated...give the bass the recognition it deserves
Gave me a jumpscare
This soundtrack sounds like it’s straight outta a Hacksaw Ridge
0:00- 3:51
Kevin Arevalo that’s what I thought!
That last one...I first it on caporetto...it was absolutely beautiful and extremely badass.
It's a beautiful music i love battelfield soundtrack
2:40_3:05 😢😭😭😭😭👍👌👌👌👌 and thank you battlefield ❤
When I got on bf1 after a long time the second soundtrack of the dlc send chills down my spine
26:41 ah that slow melodic old battlefield tune👌
26:40 instantly takes me to standing in the tall grass in the Somme and hearing the wind combined with our chaos in the background
You know it's a great game when you play it with a tear in your eye.
The music from the first track reminds me from the scene from Titanic when those men played their instruments one last time before going down with the ship...sad indeed...
My favorite Menu theme is 21:08.
Dark and Evil at the beginning, then later it is Sad and Tragic.
The music on this game brings a tear to my eye
I will always remember this game as a movie, its a masterpiece
That first song...
the men who have survived the 4 years, or even a few months... they get up out of the trenches and look in astonishment at their enemy as they leave and prepare to head home. Where they no longer deal with constant fear and killing. They weep bitterly as they head home and realize it’s all been for nothing. The killing, the destruction of a large chunk of Eastern France, and the horrors they’ve endured. Staying with them till they die.
It must have been fuckin hard to adjust to civilian life after all that time living in fear and mud and disease.
Passiandaile is my favourite map mainly because it has a connection to my country Canada but it looks horrifying and sounds that way to the screams in the background the sounds of war and artillery shells hitting the ground around you people calling out for help it is just so awesome and scary to think about at the same time
There will be operations on new maps because lots of themes include this beautiful one at 12.24 are not used in actual game
Super nice!
First song reminds me of a blend of Titanic and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Sounds like Lord of the Rings, same feels
