There is no Star Wars tale I find more interesting and emotional than that of Revan, and I have yet to find any Star Wars music that come close to this.
Revan is knowledge and control. Navigated The Force as one with it, and neither. An ally, and an enemy. He was the epitome of balance in a galaxy of chaos, and not absolutes. Revan never fell, he rose where he stood, and was the best for it.
Out of all force users, Revan proved to be the one Jedi/Sith that was both the strongest on either side. Revan will forever more be the best of both sides of the force.
Revan the most powerful, wise, helpful force user in the galaxy and the last force user who truly found balance within the force. For all of Revan's titles he deserves one more, Luke may of been the last Jedi but Revan is the last Je'daii.
@@Briselance he became sith because of his own decisions to stop the old sith empire in the unknown regions, to at least defer their attack on the weakened republic, because vitiate, the old sith empire's emperor sought to become a god by consuming the essence of every living thing and war was his best instrument in doing so. the canon is that he was a jedi that went to war in the mandalorian wars; after it, he sought the mandalorians into old empire territory where he found the emperor on dromund kaas; the emperor proved to be more than a match for both him and his friend, malak, and converted them to the dark side, malak becoming revan's apprentice. as i said, the emperor found a way, 2 instruments to wage a war that would precede his coming and feed him; but revan took control back of his mind and decided that it was better to remain a sith so he could wage war on the republic and, as said in comments above me, between quotations marks, replies taken from kotor, assassinate certain leaders that would bring destabilization and reinforce certain worlds by keeping their infrastructure intact so he could prepare the galaxy for the emperor and his plans. revan was captured tho because he was betrayed by malak and his memories erased, thus turned to the light by the council, but eventually regained some of his own memories but, cannonically, he remained a jedi and killed malak who took control after he was captured years back. after this more and more memories came back and remembered why he fell to the dark side and why he did all he did in the "jedi civil war", as the people called it, when he managed to get rid of the emperor's control. he again left his loved ones in the rim worlds and went out to find the emperor, eventually reuniting with a powerful jedi, the exile, with whom he had served in the mandalorian wars. when they arrived on dromund kaas they allied themselves with the emperor's wrath, lord scourge, who wanted to kill vitatie as he knew his plans. but in the fight, scourge killed the jedi exile because of a vision he had regarding the hero of tython who would kill, at least temporarily, the emperor 300 years later. with the exile killed, revan was taken as prisoner by the emperor and kept in stasis for 300 years. vitiate wanted to begin his invasion of the republic, but then again revan deterred him and made him believe peace was in his best interest. 300 years later after revan's imprisonment, the empire nearly destroyed the republic, but again, revan managed to make him sue for peace. years after the war, revan was freed by the republic but later killed by the empire, but he wasn't fully dead, as his spirit "ripped" in two, one light sided part, which wanted to become one with the force, but couldn't do so without the dark part of his spirit which still wanted to kill the emperor. the emperor was eventually killed by the hero of tython who struck down his host body and made his spirit have to regain his breath. revan's dark spirit finally was killed by the combined forces of the republic and empire, and so he could finally become on with the force. so even though revan became a sith, he also was redeemed and ultimately fought for the greater good. because of his intelligence and strength in the force, he managed to master both the light and dark and found complete balance, so you could say he was a je'daii, a gray jedi.
@@PlayingGames97 Valkorion and Arcann were more like Dark Jedi than Grey because they use it for their selfish whims as well as they use the dark side more often than the Light. The Eternal Empire I can agree with that but I doubt they have a proper understanding of the Jedi and the Sith. They were more like force wielders who cared less about philosophy and were more like wardens for the Emperor. Revan was the Last Je'daii because he knew both cultures of the Jedi and the Sith and used his knowledge to find a balance in their philosophies of the force. He was the last because no one else could match his intelligence and understanding of the force in it's entirety, well all except the betrayer of course.
Hero, conquer, villain and savior. King of the Old Republic! Master of Light and Dark side of the Force. Servant to none. All rise for Revan Master of the balanced Force!
"See? You just saved your guardian by using something you deem appalling. Keep my teaching in mind, young one, the force existed before the jedi and sith, it was only them who coaxed it into light and dark. Those who blur the line are those who use it properly."
"There is no true in the force, no great secret. There is only you. You've made a strange choice, a unique choice. And know that that is the true lesson of strength to turn away from strength that is not your own. You are beautiful to me exile. A dead spot force, an emptiness in which its will might be denied I see the potential to see the force die, because I hate the force, I hate that it seems to have a will that it would control us to achieve some measure of balance when countless lives are lost. She has brought truth, and you condemn it?. The arrogance. As you would pass judgment on her, I have come to pass judgment you all. Of all wars, of all the tragedies that scream across the galaxy? Let me show you who have forever seen the galaxy trough the force; see it trough the eyes of the Exile. So you will do nothing? Apathy is death."
This was neat. Imagine if Revan, Mace Windu, and the Father from Mortis were all somehow able to meet up. That would be the most balanced conversation ever.
Never clicked so fast in my life. Revan a person who uses the light and dark. Despite his suffering for 300 years under Darth Vitite he still made an huge impact for both future Jedi and Sith alike.
@@Chaotic-Star-3-6-9 Cannon gone wrong. You know it when so called "Legends" are far better than new movies, by a thousand miles. Both Kotors, even SWTOR, Kyle Katarn's adventures, Starkiller story. Hell even Fallen Order is far better than new trilogy.
The story of Revan is how you write a nuanced deconstructivist take on Star Wars. KOTOR/KOTOR2 critically questioned and scrutinized everything that came before, but it did so without disrespecting the existing lore. Contrast this with The Last Jedi (and to a lesser degree the rest of the sequel trilogy), which tried to do the same thing, but did it with all of the subtlety of a sledgehammer, and ended up being a mockery of the fans and the franchise.
This is amazing. Obviously Malak’s theme hit home for me. The second theme of his reminds me of the Song of Gilgamesh. Loving the Templar inspired choral elements, as well. 🔥☝️

Amazing! This is really well done, very emotive. Around 23:57 it reminded me of the Gurdjieff & De Hartmann compositions, beautiful. You have outdone yourself! BTW if anyone is interested check out George Gurdjieff, he's about as close to a Jedi as you can find IRL...
Nihilus is cool in aspect and power but he doesn't have the character depth of Revan. He's literally an empty shell feeding on the Force. Revan is more interesting, IMO. But I do love Nihilus as well.
Here's how I see Revan's Story... neither as a man, nor a woman... but like Shepard's Story... his appearance taking the form of the one that told it; just a story that was passed on from generation-to-generation as a warning to future generations of Jedi, that this was the tale of "Revan the Great;" a Fairytale of the Jedi that warns newer Jedi that "Refusing to act on fear of consequences, can itself give birth to even greater consequences." That's what Kreia was trying to tell the Outcast the entire time... that Revan had seen the bigger picture, and was not narrow-sighted, but was also willing to accept the consequences of his/her actions regardless of what form that might take. Something the Outcast was ill-prepared for.
Revan will forever be my favorite Star Wars character. Perfect villain, Perfect hero, just perfect. The guy was so complex. I dont view that online abomination as cannon for Revan. KOTOR II said Revan chose his own path and he went on the dark side to save the galaxy because he knew it needed to be strong to stop the invasion that was coming. Not some mind control mumbo jumbo shit. Revan was a badass he walked the path of light and the dark. Not picking a side but not lingering in the middle of apathy. Revan did what he thought was best no matter what it took. Revan was the force.
For me, Revan is all that a Jedi or Sith aspires to become: Someone powerful, who instills fear and respect equally to others, and who decides to follow him because they want to.
"Only Revan was worthy of our respect. We swept throughout the Outer Rim without opposition-until Revan assumed command of the Republic forces. Only then did the battle turn." ―Canderous Ordo
@@dryder7078 Actually, Revan is. Revan and Malek were the Jedi who made the subdivision of the Jedi Order called the Jedi Crusaders. The reason why is because the Mandalorian's where conquering planet after planet, and the Jedi Order refused to acknowledge this. (this is why Revan wears an old Mandalorian helmet). If not for Revan creating and leading the Jedi Crusaders, the Mandalorians more than likely would've been able to fight there way all to corrusant or close enough to make it so that they have vastly higher numbers than the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order can deal with. If the Mandalorians would've taken over the galaxy would've turned out drastically different. In addition to this, it is because of Revan that Darth Bane created the rule of 2, the same rule of 2 that Sidious and Vader used to be as powerful as they were. Had they not uses the rule of 2, they wouldn't have been powerful enough to keep the Empire going as long as they did. Mainly because Sidious wouldn't have been able to transfer his force ghost into clone copies of himself (EU/Legends), and the couple of close calls Vader has had against different adversaries. The only reason Vader was so strong was his connection to the darkside, and the vast amount of the darkside of the force available, since only 2 sith remained.
Dryder Wut? He was a very influential character for the galaxy, even thousands of years after his death his knowledge would be used by Sith and Jedi. I mean Bane took inspiration from Revan for the rule of two. If that’s not important then I don’t know what is.
Mr. Lucas King, please, tell me you're going to release a standalone video (s) with the piano version of The Way of the Sith at 47:39, Revan's Revange at 49:56 and (or) and KOTOR Main/Drum at 11:33? PLEASE! The first two depict the Sith (including Revan&Malak relationship) so well. The path to power, which, regrettably, ends in betrayal, death and sometimes even sorrow. It brings sadness, sorrow and regret in an epic way. Sith Lord at 53:32 was also composed very well. As for KOTOR Main/Drum, it felt so nostalgic to listen to that Old Republic hymn in this Ancient-Egyptian style.

WHY IS PADME'S GRAVE SUITE IN RAVENS THEME???????????
What is this? An hour long tribute to revan? I'm putting this in my D&D playlist. Just 6 minutes in and I love it
I am doing the same thing.
10 seconds in and i love it. It’s Revan. How could you not?
dude I was just thinking that!!!
WHY IS PADME'S GRAVE SUITE IN RAVENS THEME???????????
A Master of the force Indeed
but not in canon he will be just a generic evil sith
Je'daii? I did not know this was an old spelling of the Jedi name.
Besides, did Revan not become a sith?
"Yes, have you come with questions?"
"Ask, and I will answer"
why do we have 3 shitty Rey and Ben movies but not 1 good Revan Movie?

One word: Beautiful
The story of Revan is how you write a nuanced deconstructivist take on Star Wars. KOTOR/KOTOR2 critically questioned and scrutinized everything that came before, but it did so without disrespecting the existing lore. Contrast this with The Last Jedi (and to a lesser degree the rest of the sequel trilogy), which tried to do the same thing, but did it with all of the subtlety of a sledgehammer, and ended up being a mockery of the fans and the franchise.
This is probably the best assessment I've seen on the subject.

Revan Walks Into The Room
Every time I had to do my online lessons i always listen to this
Darth Revan is among my favorite Sith in the Old Republic
Darth Nihilus is my most favorite, though
Tie between Darth Marr and Darth Malgus for me
Q. Vos Yeah, they’re both cool
Nihilus was by far the most one of powerful Sith. Definitely the creepiest
Nihilus is cool in aspect and power but he doesn't have the character depth of Revan. He's literally an empty shell feeding on the Force. Revan is more interesting, IMO. But I do love Nihilus as well.
I'd say Revan and Marr would be my two favourite Sith
It's back! It was so terrible when it disappeared. But I'm glad what I can enjoy this wonderful music again.
I'd love to hear Lucas King 's rendition of what a theme for the Jedi Exile would be like.
This is beautiful. Thank you!
26:24 ...Revan's final attack didn't kill you. But you feel the taint of the Dark Side coursing through you.
For me, Revan is all that a Jedi or Sith aspires to become: Someone powerful, who instills fear and respect equally to others, and who decides to follow him because they want to.
sadness is the symphony of heart
The music truly inspires me. Along with all of kotor.

SO POWERFULL
Darth Revan is probably the most important character in Starwars lore.
Not really
@Arthur William thats not hard but he was not that important for the history of the galaxy tho
@Sami Gibbons kylo is discount revan
Ya I bet the guitar suite is the most replayed lol, it encapsulates Revan so magnificently.
Wow, this is perfection. Thanks, I really needed this!
