B.A.D. has been my favorite band since Mick left The Clash (my other favorite). This is such a great song. 65 yo now. Can't believe where the time went. My old GSXR11 and B.A.D. The 80s were so great
Hadn't seen this since maybe 1987. The song had been in my head for all these years though, and for good reasons. If you want to listen to the music of the future you've got to go back about 4 decades.
I last heard this song in the summer of 1990 on the San Francisco station Live 105 KITS, but never knew who sang it. Then, on the drive home from work today I hear it again on Sirius XM. It only took me 25 years to find this song again. I'm not letting go this time.
Big Audio Dynamite is straight up awesome. When the album 'This is Big Audio Dynamite' came out it blew my mind. This song is great and 'NO. 10 Upping Street' was no slouch of an album either.
I don't remember hearing it in the mid-1980s but there was some other Big Audio Dynamite song that was played a lot I think Mick Jones should have quietly disassociated this band from The Clash and presented it as an entirely new band I also think that Mick Jones and the drummer had a bad outfit and image for this band
Summer 1987 driving down I80 from Sacramento to DAS Klub in SF blasting this music in a van with friends drinking Miller Genuine draft with the sliding door open going over the Bay Bridge. The ocean air... The city views. I was fortunate.
If this was out in 1986 it is 30 years old this year in 2016. So much time has passed it is unnerving but the music is still great and makes me feel positive things which seldom happens anymore.
I would listen to this song on a cassette tape before going out with my best friend..everytime we listened to this, it would be a night to remember..police, getting kicked out of places, madness. That's what I associate this song with..which is a good thing. She is now dying, has about 1-2 weeks left...I wish she would be able to hear this one more time with me. Unfortunately the cancer that has ate up her brain won't allow it. Now I will be listening to this CD over and over.
only just read your post...I was18 when I bought this...my best friend was doing 9 months borstal for a footy offence...he used to listen to the clash and BAD to get him through it...all that mattered were clothes football fighting and getting drunk...I associate this song with that time...32 years ago...seems like yesterday...still have the same mates...the kind that always look out for you...sorry for your loss...take carexx
A brilliant artist from a far better, never-to-be-repeated, age. And I don't mean because I'm (we're) older. Just everything now is bland, hyped, superficial. materialistic Grade A Shit.
I saw them together as The Clash and was divinely lucky to be at Joe's last gig in Acton and who should jump on Stage but Mick and I swear to you it was like they were never apart.....fantastic.
Good morning Sodom and Gomorrah, good morning sinners No, that wasn't your radio set on the bleep again Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play 'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today Lotta rockheads on the block Dougie died and Sue got frocked If the stove is hot, then I ain't lost And Rosa says my star is crossed Little Jamie writes V. Thirteen Comes in by the door, goes out by screen He don't listen to me, he knows everything Girls on the avenue ask me to sing Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play 'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today The paper drags and folds me down Like a paper cup, I fly around I've been eating food that ain't been checked And the Russian rain is beating down my neck Screen blackout on the southern war Cue talk breakdown on point forty four There must be a place, the preacher says, "I guess" But a drifter will tell you, no place is best Shout for all the people who have nothing to say 'Cos we're only gone tomorrow and here today Was a one-off dirt jam when England came good One night in a thousand, they've played knock on wood We used to go roamin', go roamin' around When you don't look for something, it's sure to be found Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play 'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today Shout for all the people who have nothing to say 'Cos we're only gone tomorrow and here today Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play 'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today Yes, I'm only gone tomorrow and here today Sodom and Gomorrah, this is London gov

7/15/2020 What an awesome song!!!! One of my favorites. I've played it about 10 times today at work in NYC. Love the girl on the right at 1:43. What a smile!!!
V13 is a type of train hints jamie ride v13. pure genius and you can sense that joe strummer was definatly remembered and missed in the writing of this song
BAD made me realize that it was probably more Jones than Stummer ( love them both) that gave the clash that hint of pop that made them more radio friendly, like train in vain . I remember the first time hearing just play that music, revolutionary
Brilliant song:) im 38 remember rush as a kid. Got there greatest hits in early 2000 didnt listen to it much good ole you tube got me into these guys more:)
I only learned about Mick Jones now by hearing this song for the first time today. I'm pretty late I know. But I have to say I really like his voice. His voice reminds me of John Lennon's voice. Do others say that?
Just heard this on the Stereo Underground Richard Latto. Show, takes me back to the Eighties when this Band were on. the Tube with Jools Holland, and this great Rock song is their finest hour.
My dad would play this song on repeat before he passed away 😔💔
There is a bird in the crowd I absolutely love. I watch this clip every day because of her and the song.
B.A.D. has been my favorite band since Mick left The Clash (my other favorite). This is such a great song. 65 yo now. Can't believe where the time went. My old GSXR11 and B.A.D. The 80s were so great
Saw the original line up on their first tour. Absolutely unreal gig.
Mick Jones Legend
This was a band worthy of a follow-on to the mighty Clash. Mick Jones is one of the greats of that era of music. Understated genius.
Hadn't seen this since maybe 1987. The song had been in my head for all these years though, and for good reasons. If you want to listen to the music of the future you've got to go back about 4 decades.
Don't know why but I've always loved the line: I've been eating food that ain't been checked.
I last heard this song in the summer of 1990 on the San Francisco station Live 105 KITS, but never knew who sang it. Then, on the drive home from work today I hear it again on Sirius XM. It only took me 25 years to find this song again. I'm not letting go this time.
+Ahmer Khan now you know its BAD !
+Ahmer Khan please hold on to it, tight. I never want to hear it again.
+Ze Antichrist Nothing really..I was a bit disappointed with this song (compared to Medicine Show).
+Ze Antichrist That's a nice one indeed.
+Ze Antichrist Limbo The Law & Medicine Show are up there . . .
Big Audio Dynamite is straight up awesome. When the album 'This is Big Audio Dynamite' came out it blew my mind. This song is great and 'NO. 10 Upping Street' was no slouch of an album either.
Mick Jones is God. Came here because this was stuck in my head.
So ahead of their time .. he has such a way with catchy hooks and abstract lyrics
So true.
It's rare I find a group where I like all their music. These guys are great!!!
Have loved this band since I was a kid...10years old I think early 80's my older cousin was into them...I'm now 50
Man, what I would give to see Mick Jones perform. Such an amazing talent.
Great song from an underrated, under appreciated band
+markm102 You misspelled 'overrated'.
+Eddy de Boer you spelt bore wrong
1,000% agree. One of my favorite bands of all time. Still have all their cassettes. Lol.
Your comment lead me back to this song. Not a BAD diversion! Enjoy the day.

This is such a great song, brings back some nice memories of good music in the 80's.
YEP...I loved this album when it came out in 1985....Mick Jones wrote some excellent songs while leader of this band
I wouldn’t trade being 18 in this moment for anything. What great fucking music
My first concert was The Clash and i saw Big Audio Dynamite at a club year's later 😎
Aren't you lucky! That's a dream come true.

I still have my old vinyl copy of this album. I'd never give it up!
there is a message in this song
Still have the 12 inch
I still have the cassette. Doh!
Can't believe I haven't heard this song before its brilliant
I don't remember hearing it in the mid-1980s but there was some other Big Audio Dynamite song that was played a lot I think Mick Jones should have quietly disassociated this band from The Clash and presented it as an entirely new band I also think that Mick Jones and the drummer had a bad outfit and image for this band

My step dad worshipped this band i grew up on this and still sounds as good as the first time i heard every track mick jones what a fucking Legend
A brilliant artist from a far better, never-to-be-repeated, age. And I don't mean because I'm (we're) older. Just everything now is bland, hyped, superficial. materialistic Grade A Shit.
I agree with you.
Ive seen Joe Strummer singin wi Pogues. Liverpool. Ive seen Mick with Pete Wylie, The Farm, hes loved on Merseyside.
I’ve seen BAD live twice and Joe Strummer the same, but sadly never seen them play together 😏 both legends. RIP JOE
I saw them together as The Clash and was divinely lucky to be at Joe's last gig in Acton and who should jump on Stage but Mick and I swear to you it was like they were never apart.....fantastic.
Good morning Sodom and Gomorrah, good morning sinners
No, that wasn't your radio set on the bleep again
Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play
'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today
Lotta rockheads on the block
Dougie died and Sue got frocked
If the stove is hot, then I ain't lost
And Rosa says my star is crossed
Little Jamie writes V. Thirteen
Comes in by the door, goes out by screen
He don't listen to me, he knows everything
Girls on the avenue ask me to sing
Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play
'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today
The paper drags and folds me down
Like a paper cup, I fly around
I've been eating food that ain't been checked
And the Russian rain is beating down my neck
Screen blackout on the southern war
Cue talk breakdown on point forty four
There must be a place, the preacher says, "I guess"
But a drifter will tell you, no place is best
Shout for all the people who have nothing to say
'Cos we're only gone tomorrow and here today
Was a one-off dirt jam when England came good
One night in a thousand, they've played knock on wood
We used to go roamin', go roamin' around
When you don't look for something, it's sure to be found
Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play
'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today
Shout for all the people who have nothing to say
'Cos we're only gone tomorrow and here today
Sodom and Gomorrah, let the DJ play
'Cos I'm only gone tomorrow and here today
Yes, I'm only gone tomorrow and here today
Sodom and Gomorrah, this is London gov
"wasn't your radio set on the BLINK again"
we can't forget the fact that Greg Roberts (the drummer) is In the band Dreadzone

The last great Clash song, Jones and Strummer wrote this

B.A.D. is still way ahead of it's time...Mick teamed up nicely...LOVE IT
Joe was co-producer for B.A.D.'s album Number 10 Upping St. and co-wrote a number of the songs this being one of them.
Great Video! A masterpiece of music from a band who isn't recognized nearly enough, (and a treasure to the music world)
Saw BAD in 1986... wish i could have seen them more... Like the Clash were to New Wave, they were pioneers to extensive sampling!

Yes Mick Jones. Was in The Clash!

I heard this at 24 Hours Fitness a few years ago. No surprise to find out it was recorded in the mid 1980s.
BAD made me realize that it was probably more Jones than Stummer ( love them both) that gave the clash that hint of pop that made them more radio friendly, like train in vain . I remember the first time hearing just play that music, revolutionary

I love this song live - in my opinion the best sing-along gig song from BAD:)
Beauty song 😉
I only learned about Mick Jones now by hearing this song for the first time today. I'm pretty late I know. But I have to say I really like his voice. His voice reminds me of John Lennon's voice. Do others say that?
No Mick Jones had a pretty decent voice Lennon was nasty.
+Davin Dx Mick is a great phraser -- which really goes a long way . . .
his voice reminds me of the lead singer of the clash
martywhitevan jones sang some of the clash songs and was a backup singer so I mean it makes sense he reminds you of strummer
Especially on a song with lyrics written by Joe
Big audio dynamite love it 😎
