#MUDLARKING
I believe your “dog collar” could possibly be an Egyptian revival arm cuff. A scarab would sit between the wings and chains hanging from the holes in a draped fashion.
Qqqq
that was my first tought to, but I remember seeing this on Roman gladiator upper arm to 🤔 so what is it 🤦♀️
I think it is a brass lampshade ring from a Victorian gas lamp. Unfortunately. I have found similar ones.
I was thinking the same thing
Do you have anyway other than comments to notify them. That would be such a thrill. For all.
@7:08, maybe you can turn that pipe stem into an umbrella or walking stick for your dolls. ☺️Hello, Mudpies!
The squelch squad on dry land!!? So glad to see all you mudlarkers working together! Fun times!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Heya legends! Looking forward to this, thanks again for a magnificent day ❤️🙌 round 2 very soon! 😉
Edit after watching: cannot BELIEVE that collar!! What an amazing find, you guys must be so chuffed! The winged details are so beautiful. And thank you for the such kind words ❤️ see you soooooon lovelies!
Hello from Ohio, Josie and Andy!
Oi-oi Mudpies!!!
Hi there Squelchmeisters! Totally awesome collab!
P
Looking forward to next time :) :) :)
The pipe stem with head for foot! I instantly saw a hobby horse for dolls house. Great finds, love watching
I love how Josie talks her dad up to get into tight situations and then laughs lmao
It is wicked and fun - both teams are so excited at their finds and swap items they know each treasures.
I think your ball is from a bocce set. Great game from Italy. Love the video! Great collar. It is beautiful.
With all the blue and white pottery you find, I can envision a wonderful broken tile table top.
have seen quite a few made from sea pottery shards here in Tas - they are beautiful. Always blue and white!
The Egyptian style collar is just the most amazing item, again lots of beautiful tiny treasures. 💕Please make the horse pipe into a hobby horse for the dolls house🙏💕. Great to see you with Mudpies 💛🧡🤎 thank you 😊
That was my first thought too. Hobbyhorse for the dolls house 🙂
Thank you Charlotte ! 😊
that horse head pipestem would make a cute hobby horse for the doll's house.😊
The horse 🐴 pipe may make a great hobby horse for the doll house. It is wonderful in itself as a find too of course. I love your forays. Defs one of my fave mudlarking channels. A pleasure to spend time with you both again. xo Rachelle, Australia 🦘
Thanks so much 😊
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers I thought that the long pipe stem looked more like a giraffe, with its long neck and tiny ears, than it did a horse. Loved the finds ladies. Hi from New Bern, North Carolina.
Its such a shame when things are thrown away. That the history of where they came from and what they were used for gets lost. But not always. It is wonderful to come across information that shows what long forgotten items are, or could be.
You found some really wonderful items on this lark. Things that stand out as bring very unusual and very special finds. The collar item was so fascinatingly unusual. I loved that very much as well as the horse pipe, which was amazing, in that the stem was so full. How do some things last so well like that. Unbelievable really, after being thrown in the bin, dumped, dropped, covered, then uncovered...many times no doubt. Then decades waiting for you to re find it again. Awe and i know rats aren't seen as the nicest creatures, but the rat pipe pieces are so appealing. Tiny little rats on a pipe stem, those are cute.
A very enjoyable lark as always ladies. Thanks for taking us along. X
Thank you so much :)
Fun collaboration with the Mudpies. Unique pieces this week that will find their way into the doll houses.
Pipe stem with horse head can have cogs or wheels on the smoker end and be a hobby horse for the doll's nursery. Quite the finds that day for all four of you. Wonder woman's arm band.😂😂😂 Blessings
You two make the minutiae of life seem fascinating. A splendid gift.
Thank you :)
Your old dolls head reminds me of odd bod from carry on screaming.. I really love that mudlarkers have little niches that they always manage to find. Xxx
During the Egyptian revival of the 1920s that type of symbolism was utilized in some fabulous jewelry and many other areas of fashion and home goods, aiding in boosting their sales. Dog collar or not, a very fun find. ( : Fleur and Kate, I thoroughly enjoyed your collab with Andy and Josie of thee one and only "Mudpies". I really think this was the best vid of a collab I've seen, for the sheer reason that both teams were filming in the same location at the same time, yet you had two distinctly different videos. That's How It's Done! Hugs and give Sunny, our favorite furball (as my brother calls them) a pet and a scratch from Nance in Nor Cali US.
Thank you :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers, You betcha! ( :
Fleur said, "pipage" before they even met up. 😄
:) :) :)
Fleur’s pipe might be a dragon! And the horse stem could be a hobby horse in the doll’s house. Be careful when cleaning and cutting the plastic covered flooring piece. The old ones often had cancer-causing asbestos!
Hobby horse is the first thing I thought of too, it's perfect! x
I did not bring it home as it was too bent :)
I thought the horse stem looked more like a giraffe with its long neck and tiny ears. I thought dragon as well, but it does look an awful lot like a crocodile as well.
You all are so lucky to have so many old dumps to search.
It's so exciting to see all the Treasure found.
Thank you for taking us with you both.
Happy Hunting
I watched the Legendary collaboration video yesterday on the Mudpie channel, now I get to watch Legendary part two with Kit and Caboodlers!
Same here, loved watching both!
Same here - they are a good collaboration.
I absolutely love watching your channel. I live in Florida and always think how perilous it would be to dive under bushes on my belly or stick my hand into a hole. Snakes, alligators, spiders - oh, my! The English countryside seems like such a safe place. Keep on mudlarking!
That pipe with the horse's head looks like a doll's hobbyhorse.
My fave peeps together in one place. 🥰
You guys are great together. Thanks for sharing with us all !! 🤗
Hello dear how are you doing?
Love when you join up with others and share adventures. This has lead me to several other awesome channels to watch. Bottle dumps have so many different finds in them. Looking forward to more videos.
Love that you went with the Mudpies…love both of your channels!
It's great to see the Mudpies on dry land & not ankle deep in mud
That horse pipe would make an awesome riding stick horse toy for a doll. Glue ribbons or tassels on it.
PLEASE get an asbestos testing kit and use it on that tile before you cut it! 😬 I was immediately worried!
Anyway, very good to see you and the Mudpies back together! Wonderful finds!
I did not bring it home it was too bent :)
I love the birds in the background. Just as beautiful as the finds!
I agree
When you found the pipe stem with the horse's head, it looked like it could be a toy riding horse on a stick for the dolls. Not sure that the scale is right, though. Loved seeing the Mudpies on your channel. I subscribe to their channel, too.
I love the melted bottles, nothing undesirable about them at all!
A sort of Salvador Dali type of look happens.
I have an entire jar full of owl pellet extractions.
Mouse or shrew skulls, curved rodent teeth, like tiny hippo tusks, little leg bones,it’s fascinating!
I love those wonky melted bottles!
Im glad Kate wasnt wearing a dress that day with all those thorns! Awesome finds 🤩
Lovely to see you two mudlarking teams having fun together. The Egyptian circlet looks like it could adorn the upper arm of a flapper. Very beautiful. Have a good week and I look forward to your next adventure. xx
Yesterday watching mudpies and now from your side. Fun!!
The flat bottle will be a good ring holder by the sink. The key looks like a roller skate key. Love when you meet up with the Mudpies! Grear lark!
The pipes are fantastic. Such awesome work. They must have have been prized possessions in their day.
That is a great little spot there, and you found some lovely little treasures once again! Thank you for taking us alongTeresa 🇦🇺💖
Thank you :)
The pipe fragments would make lovely architectural details for the doll house! Like gargoyles and reliefs maybe? And I thought maybe a glass bottle stopper would be a pretty stool. 😄y’alls videos are always fun!
You should use the horse pipe in the children’s room as toy. The plaque would be great in the garden area of the dolls house. Just a few suggestions lovely lark great finds.💕💕💕
We dont have anywhere here with historic things to find. Thank you for taking us along. I would love to be there. So many things for ceafts to find. I love crafting
My 2 favourite mudlarkers together :) Take a tooth brush with you so you can brush off the dirt :) Love your videos xx
Love these collaborations between some of my fave larkers! The bird song is enchanting. The nettles raised anxiety in me. I had quite a few tragic moments growing up in the UK, encountering these stinging plants, as a child. I know they make soup etc. from nettles but I will never indulge! You do find the small treasures. Love the pipes and dolls heads. Dog collar? Amazing!... Who threw that away? So much social history - gets me every time. Fires the imagination. Thank you for another lovely vlog x
See sifinds is doing a rally for mudlarks in Cornwall for June, should be fun. You may want to take your camper down for the weekend.
Your Egyptian style ring could be one of the more intriguing things I've seen you find. I hope you find out what it is, whatever it is, it will remind you of a great day with the Mudpies.
Cheers!🤗👍
Hay ladies, opperarm bracelet?… that’s what jump in my mind .. brilliant find 🍀
The horse head pipe end looks like a gentleman's walking stick!...maybe a wee flask of whiskey in there!
Katie you could put that broken clay pipe in a shadow box, and paint the missing part onto the background. It would look great.😀 The little green body looked like a fairy grandad, or pixie. Love your videos.😀
We've been looking forward to your collab with the legendary Mudpies :) Always love seeing how you find the tiny treasures - our eyes haven't quite adjusted to seeing them on a dump yet! Great video - really lovely finds, great company and peaceful overall feeling x Nicole & Craig
Yay you got to go to a bottle dump! It does take awhile to get used to it :) :)
Suck a cool hunt for treasures. Love it when Larks get together. Makes it so much more fun.
Wonderful video.nice collaboration. My hair's always in the branches, rocks and seaweed..part of the fun. Luv the dog collar, and all of the figurine bits. The melted bottle would make a nice display "tray" for tiny favorites....I think fleurs sea serpent or crocodile pipe would make a gr8 floor plant pot for the dolls house. Happy hunting.
Lovely to see you and the Mudpies teaming up again 😀 and as always such amazing finds ❤ 😊 TFS
The large opening on the “dog collar” would have housed a scarab. Scarabs (beetle) adorn many Egyptian revival pieces. The wings would then emanate from the scarab’s body. It is likely not a dog collar.
I agree. Thinking a reclosable lid for a tobacco jar made of decorative glass that has since broken.
What anice exploration. So many interesting finds.
Love the rat pipe! I once had a bread rat from Hameln, too. I placed it on a shelf in my room but then it was eaten by a mouse 😂 Next time I visit Hameln I'll get a new one.
...just watching some older episodes I have not seen! Wouldn't one of those small, flat, melted bottles make a good hot water bottle for the Doll's Hospital? That's what our hot water bottles are shaped like. Happiness whenever I watch your channels. Love all Around!
Enjoyed it ladies. Good finds.thank you for sharing this ❤
I love the wonky, melted bottles! They are my favs, I would take em all! Lol
You and the Mudpies make a great team, they find the big wonderful bottles while your eyes see the little treasures! The pipe pieces are great, love the crocodile curled around the bowl, and the horse almost looks deliberately broke that way... Love the collar, the Egyptian look is amazing.
Thank you so much Nicole! :) :) :)
I think your collar could be an Eygptian Revival headpiece. I feel like a scarob beetle possibly sat in the centre of the wings. It would have been worn of the head being adjustable but was a popular fashion item during the 1920s. Also fantastic to see you guys with the Mudpies look forward to future larks together 👏🙂
Too small for a head piece, possibly an arm cuff though
Thank you :)
I think its a collar off one of them porcelin dogs that came in pairs facing each other that people had on there mantlepiece in the old days.
Great finds and nice to see the Mudpies too! Bet you were all exhausted by the end of the day!🥰
🐦🎶🐦Wonderful finds! So nice to see the Mudpies👏👍👍
Love it!!!!! That dog collar is spectacular!!!! Nice finds!!!!
Hope you let Josie know about the flat melted bottles you found, in her video she was thrilled to find the melted bottles. Love watching videos and why don't you bring small branch clippers for brambles
Hello ladies cant waite to see what goodies yall find today .Hello to the Mud Pies.
Love the nightingale singing in the background too ❤️
Great to see you out Mudlarking with the Mudpies! So many great finds. The Egyptian style dog collar is amazing. It could be a cuff that goes right up your arm.😊❤️
Add a small cushion to your watch case and it will make a lovely dog bed for the dog house.
It’s Phil Johnson’s dream spot with all of those melted bottles. I have to say yours are so cute. I’d have to take home at least 1 (or two) ✌️💚
What interesting finds! Love the dog collar, well done for working that out because I wouldn't have had a clue. The crocodile pipe is amazing, I have never seen that design before. Fab video Ladies! 😃💗 x
Thank you Amanda :)
Josie " Come on dad you can do it " While dad is pinned down by tree roots and brambles. LOL No sacrifice is too much in the quest for treasures.
Great video and amazing finds! I like to research and learn more about the unusual objects you find, that collar will get me going. I do think a machete could come handy especially during summer time. Already looking forward to your next adventure!
:) :) :)
The machete idea is a good one, but I don't think they're allowed to carry anything as lethal as that in the UK.
Fleur, that little flat bottle could be a trinket dish for rings :)
I think perhaps it did :)
That Victorian upper torso woman would make a lovely pin cushion top. ♡♡
The horse pipe stem would make a wonderful hobby horse for the dolls house nursery
Great day ladies with the mudpies. Thanks!
The birds sound so beautiful 🥰
It is so much fun watching what you find😊😊
CarolKnapp USA
Thank You Ladies Wonderful yet again
what a lovely dump, the dog collar was a stunning find, I think you are correct in your assessment. Never seen them before, fascinating. Good join up with the smiling Mud Pies.
Thank you so much :)
Yay. What a treat! Mudpies and Kit & Caboodlers collab. Two of my fave channels. 🎉 💜
Imagine what you could make from the Egyptian piece, with a scarab and strings of seed beads. Great find! I really enjoy watching you ladies having so much fun!
Could your dog collar be the top of a jar or lidded box or rim to a vase?
What a wonderful collaboration. I watch the Mudpies premiere and then yours to see both angles was fantastic.
Same here ,best of both worlds eh
I agree two different teams that find interesting items. Love it!
Thank you :) :)
Wonderful finds with good company=Fantastic Lark!
Thanks for letting me tag along from the comfort of home.
Those nettles were brutal!
So fun to see everyone finding all sorts of bits and pieces of treasure! I did start laughing about your Mom saying how the sound track would be be full of "ouchs"! Stay safe and well!!
The horse head pipe stem would be a great hobbyhorse for the nursery
Love this one with the Mudpies, lovely finds🦘
Another fantastic treasure hunt! After watching your videos where you are creating things for your doll house, now I look at the items you find and wonder how you will use it!
My fave was the little bottle that was melted like a little plate with a handle so cute!
Love the dog collar.. I find veterinary dog tags sometimes metal detecting .. got one the other day with the name "Chewy" on the back.. they are always special
Wow that sounds amazing! :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Fleur and Kate, I have to say that Sunny Cat is gorgeous. He's the same coloring as my girl Smoky, and just as much of a purr box as she is. He's so full of mischief.
Could the crocodile on the pipe be a dragon instead? I thought the Edward VII & Queen pipe stem looked more like a giraffe, with its long neck and tiny ears, than it looked like a horse. Greetings to you both from your friend in North Carolina, USA.
Hello loves! Please be careful the floor tile looks like it could be an Asbestos tile. It's the correct size. I wouldn't want you all to be sickened by mistake. Love your videos!!!!!
I did not bring them home in the end they were too bent :) Thank you :)
I really enjoy seeing you all together. Your styles could not be more different - one very athletic and competitive and the other intimate snd contemplative. You clearly compliment each other!
And wow, the Egyptian Revival mystery circlet certainly is exciting! I think the crocodile could guard it, as they’re both Nile related.
Thank you so much!
I think it might be worth checking if a museum wouldn't beable to identfy the collar they might even want it. With the animal bodies like cats, I'd be so tempted to make a sphiynx with a dolls head... Thanks for a lovely video, really enjoyed it! Oh and the glass bottle with an odd shape is called a gourd I think.
I loved this collaboration I think more than any great folks you all are and beautiful finds great crafts
Thank you so much!
So funny Fleur when you find random items and they turn out to be amazing finds. Great bottle finds Kate.Told you the mudpies would love your bottle dump. 😉
Nice to see you all together.
Awesome finds with awesome guests, thanks so much. You two are definitely the queens of tiny things!
They are - it has inspired me to look harder !
Thank you so much :) :) :)
Awesome finds! What an enjoyable video with you two and the mudpies! I love watching them as well can't wait to see what all they found when you all scooping up such unusual treasures!
Thanks so much!
The key goes to a 8day clock I have one for my grandpa clock.love the cup and bottle finds.Enjoy your videos.
My fav mudlarkers,,,, so relaxing to watch you !
That was a lot of fun,i just loved seeing Josie and Andy on your show they are the best. The collar is quite a find I think i would have it tested for gold content i work with a lot of gold and it looks like it may be either 10 kt. Or 12 kt.if it is gold it would have a high value with gold prices being so high.i cant wait to see some of your finished projects.Thankyou so much for the great time in the dump!✌️
P
We will have to test it :)
