  • a video detailing the review and installation of these One K.S. Rearsets as found on amazon.com. They have changed the gear change so much, to be a much smoother easier process and the one niggle I had with my R7 is now gone!

    Oh so I'm not the only one having problems with the clutchless shifting sometimes!! I thought that it was me because I still have the stock rearsets and switched the lever to be GP-shift... Glad to see that I'm not the only one =P

      Yup, I’m sure it’s the stock rearsets, and how much you have to move them per shift, with these, even the shift rod is shorter, and maybe that helps too with less chance for flexing. Either way it’s night and day difference!

      @@HisamNV I do not have the electronic quick shifter no, I just do Clutchless shifts. I have no experience of the optional one so I can’t comment on it, just for me it’s an extra complication I don’t feel that I need. But yea there is plenty of information out there on how to install and enable.

    hey i have noticed that your shift rod and link are not 90 degrees to eachother did you do it on purpose, because its supposed to be 90 degrees pls explain

      Hi, so the main aim for me, based on my own experience and knowledge, is to make sure the angle of the shift rod to the top arm, is close to 90 degrees as I can, but still the main element I need is to reach the lever comfortably. Looking at how it ended up, maybe I have around 80-85 degrees at that top angle and that is sufficient for strong and smooth operation whilst keeping a good height on the toe lever. Also remember that you need to have good amounts of the thread inside the shift rod, so again I make sure the rose joints are not close to the end of the thread, at the expense of not getting perfect 90 degrees. Hope that all makes sense 😀

    Is there a version of foldable pegs? Foldable pegs give more space for my leg while turtle-ing through the traffic jam.

      @@AnthonyLe902 I haven’t seen any other than the stock ones. These seem actually narrower overall than the stock ones so don’t know if that helps you

    How are you liking your Akrapovic full system? I'm considering the same for my 24 R7. A little worried about attracting attention on the streets. I've had very loud exhausts in the past on I4 engines and didn't like how much I had to worry about noise in certain areas. Seems like with a dB killer in, the Akra still has grunt without being obnoxious. Is that your experience? Did you end up keeping it in or taking it out? Definitely want an upgrade from stock, but hoping to avoid being obnoxiously loud

      Hi, sounds like this exhaust is the one for you then, I don’t want the stupid loud eBay special exhausts either, so saved up my money to get the Akrapovic. It’s the perfect balance for me, if I want to let people know an amazing R7 is passing by, I just crack the throttle from closed and it gives a real nice bark, but riding around on the throttle and general riding it’s got a nice deep bass sound that is medium loudness. I looked at loads of videos and sound checks and knew this was the one. As well as looking the best in my humble opinion 😊

      @@Fluxtrance I'm sure you won't regret it, I am running without the dB killer at the moment, get some nice burbles and pops lower in the rev range on deceleration 👍

    After almost 2 months, do you have any new thoughts or concerns? Going to install these this weekend

    • @mikeyjaxxx
      @mikeyjaxxx  4 місяці тому +1

      No concerns at all! They are as solid as the day I installed them, and I’ve checked after almost every ride. Ensure you have the blue loctite though 👍 I realize to install the gear change lever nicely, you need to remove the black part from the big bearing and install that piece first, tightening with the 17mm spanner and then apply a little loctite, so you don’t get any in the bearings to install the black lever onto the silver piece.
