    I love this, I never thought about using the initiative counter as a way to track timed spells. So simple! Thanks Nick!

    I've been running games on Roll 20 doing things the long and tedious way forever, slowly starting to get into finally utilizing all of this API functionality I'm paying for XD Your videos have been tremendously helpful and have saved me a lot of time in searching for the scripts I want to use.

    Neat, can also use this just to track combat rounds. Start every fight make Combat Round at +1 and it will count up. So if you have someone cast bless on round 3. you can just note it ends in round 13

    If you want to just have one macro for all spell timers instead of making a new one for each spell use this alongside the script mentioned in the video:
    !act -1 ?{Turns in Duration} --?{Spell Name}

    Is there a way to do this but with the spell staying at the bottom of the turn order no mater the number? I keep having the issue where once it numerically gets to it in the order it reorders the whole tracker moving all the characters around.

    What about for like... 1hr-8hr long buffs or whatever that's up while you're just exploring or doing whatever while not in initiative? Is there a good timer/clock plugin that also allows the DM to skip forward or whatever? I've been playing DnD with my GM as a new player for the past few years and it always bugged me how we just kinda play it by ear and do estimates for this stuff.

    Hi, how could i do the same thing but decreasing the counter every turn (6 seconds) instead of every round? Manies spells last for 1 minute. Thanks in advice.

    That can help a lot... so i don't have to put counter/markers/icons on the tokens. good.

    I'm correct in assuming that you could make the act script work in macro form with the the ability to add in the name and duration length, but I'm scratching my brain on how to make that work. Any ideas on how to make it a macro?

    • @NickOlivo
      @NickOlivo  4 роки тому +2

      Something like this:
      !act ?{Decrement:|-1} ?{Rounds:|10} --?{Effect:|Bless}
      It'll pop up a box asking you to provide the amount to decrease each round (defaulting to -1), the number of rounds the effect should last (defaulting to 10), and the name to give the effect (defaulting to bless)

      @@NickOlivo And, if you just want to have something keep track of turns, you can add a +1 (where you have a -1), a zero for the number of rounds, and then put the word 'Turns' in the Effect box. When you go through initiative, the turns box will increment +1 every turn.

  • @Nelle999

    Just wanted to leave this macro to use with the ACT Script
    !act -1 ?{duration?} --?{Name?}
    So you can fill in any duration and name fast.

  • @Durrum1

    That doesn't work when the campaign re-rolls initiative every round.

    • @NickOlivo

      It uses a script called TokenNameNumber, I’ve got a video that shows how to use it here - m.ua-cam.com/video/DtHnEWA6WPA/v-deo.html
