🎵Oh, there's black jack and poker and the roulette wheel A fortune won and lost on every deal All you need's a strong heart and a nerve of steel Viva Las Vegas...🎶 (check out Shawn Colvin's version from the Big Lebowski soundtrack) One drawback to that solar generating station is that birds tend to get fried when they fly through the intense reflected heat above the collectors. Funny story about the California inspection station: we were asked to toss out our apples one time, so my friend said "I'll just eat mine here" and proceeded to eat his apple bite by bite, very, very slowly while the guard waited. Hey Robert, another great video! Thanks for posting. Seeing all the different elements of the road trip was so interesting. Amazing how you made it in that heat👍
If you EVER publish a cookbook, sign me up. All the food you cook looks fantastic, love that you can cook everything on top of a stove in one pan!! That is my kind of cooking. All the spices you use are very healthy too.
I wonder, what would happen if you bought California lemons in a different state and would get stopped at that agricultural checkpoint, could you claim you are repatriating them? 😅
It has been many years since we were in Las Vegas. Some looks familiar but a lot doesn't. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the California coast!😍
Hey Robert, you were trying to get into the legacy club. They do have a strict dress code. Yelp is full of angry reviews that express how much everyone hates the dress code. I stayed at the Golden Gate right next door and they gave me two vouchers for free champagne glasses at the legacy club. Thankfully they informed us of the dress code before we went up. I recommend going up the view is amazing up there.
All your American cities videos have been great, loved Badlands and Colorado. My first trip to the USA ever will be at Las Vegas next year. I am hoping you would do a long video on Las Vegas casinos on The Strip, Grand Canyon and Hoover dam someday soon as this was too quick! Keep up the good work 🎉
The summer of 2021, while staying at Sam's Town, a terrible wind storm came up suddenly, causing our main awning to break off from the motorhome. The folks at Sam's were great and the head maintenance guy loaded up the 15-foot awning into his pickup and took me to an RV repair shop about a mile down the road. We continued on our trip and on our return 3 weeks later (waiting on parts) they re-installed the awning. And Sam's does have a decent casino next door!
Robert, want to go to the Winnebago Grand National Rally but I have Jury Duty. Was hoping to see you there. I am in Orlando since December and returning home to CT next month. I have a Mini-Tini too. 2022 1708FB.
Hi, Traveling Robert. I wondered if you have been to The Crazy Horse Memorial? They have a museum, arts and crafts, Native American dancers. It's a really incredible and interesting place.
That's a hot couple of days! How did starship handle the heat? The climb out of Vegas to Baker is a seriously long hard grade and with the heat, I suspect anything would climb (pun intended) up in the transmission and coolant temperatures. Also, what's the payload on the yellow sticker? 🤔 Stay safe! Bill in Utah 😊
GREAT GREAT GREAT content and GREAT show, but PLEASE less background music and more cooking and eating and talking time after the ride. Thank you for the vids
@@roberthennel where exact in the EU? I’ve been to several European countries over the years and the easy accessibility of public transportation enables me to avoid having to rent a car, which is something I can’t do wherever I fly to in the US.
@@michaellee3903 Slovakia. You are correct about the public transport, where I live, we already have very good urban bus connections and are getting a tram within the next 3 years (the tracks are already being laid under my apartment block. Train connections are wonderful as well, as I have to travel across the country regularly to the second largest city (I live in our capital in the West and our second office is in the East, about 250 miles from where I live), a 1st class ticket (complementary wifi, coffee and water included) costs about 45 dollars one way. I only use my car two days a week, when I actually need it. And I dont really need it, more a matter of comfort and the fact that I am a petrolhead (I drive a gas guzzling BMW sportscar, hence the premium 100 octane gas). My parents are retired, they live about 60 miles from the capital in a well-doing small town of 20,000 souls, and thney dont use a car at all, as retirees, the trains are free to them (2nd class) and in said town, everything is within a 20 minute walking range
That was a short video but it was nice to see Las Vegas can't wait till Sundays video robert
I’m glad this is short you are smart you get more views. Under 20 minutes is the perfect length. 😂
I liked seeing the Las Vegas strip lit up at night, Robert. Thanks for sharing.
Viva Las Traveling Robert!
Wow- the rare weekday video drop!
Never been to Vegas but I now feel like I have. You always give a great tour. ❤
Beautiful California...Someday I will get there!!
Thank you so much 😃

What a treat- mid week continuing adventure. Thank you. It’s been years since we were in Vegas and you are right, it has changed so much.
The man the myth the legend Traveling Robert ❤
Entertaining as always!!
I paid 7.39 a gallon in Big Sur last October. It will be even higher this summer! Great video as always
Wine country is beautiful!
Awesome Mr. Robert. Thank you. 👍👍👍
Again very enjoyable. And areas we had not been in before. Thanks for the ride.

At 10:14 - I believe that's the remains of Lake Dolores. A fantastic place to camp and party for the weekend during it's hay-days

You stopped right at the last gas station James Dean was at before he died, and I think you went right by the site of his car crash.
🎉Party City 🥳
I don't think there's a camera out there Robert will take the place of what you see in your eyes

Yes. We were there last summer.
I kind of prefer the shorter format.👍

Good to hear!
What's Starships Payload rating? (The yellow sticker in the door)
👍
As always, great video. I should correct you on the pronunciation of "Robles" It sounds like Robe-less.
Yay!!!!!
So you are saying you don't like our $6/gallon luxury blend gasoline here in California? 😆
GREAT GREAT GREAT content and GREAT show, but PLEASE less background music and more cooking and eating and talking time after the ride. Thank you for the vids
Did you have the lemon incident again
Not this time. They let us through.
BRAZIL HERE
13:50 compare that to florida in sept/oct with humidity please
Definitely a different kind of heat
Did you have lemons?
Not this time
When in California get gas at Costco or AMPM best price
Yikes!!! $110 plus for gas!!! Damn that's unreal.
Well, I live in the EU and I pay that for 15,5-16 gallons of gasoline. It is 100 octane gasoline though to be transparent

The way that chili fell out of that tin is very suspect. 😢😢😢😢
Skyline is very popular in the cincinnati area. Over spaghetti with cheese and onions. Yum!
what kind of gps do you have thank you
I'm small enough that I usually get away with just using Google maps. I'm looking into a Garmin though.
@@TravelingRobert thank you for that fast response time
you and ilea have a great day
Still bitter about confiscated lemons, ha
The inspection stations are looking for hitchhiker's that can contaminate the rest of the crop
