It’s better by a COUNTRY MILE. The first one felt like it was trying to cash in on the widest audience possible by making the movie seem like an action-adventure comedy romp, while the second actually feels more genuine, centered around the betrayal of Megatron with elements of comedy here and there. It made me a little more optimistic
Same, like first trailer made me cautiously optimistic being that there weren’t any humans and the transformers were actually going to be fleshed out as characters but this second trailer looks downright amazing and reallly highlights just how bad the blood between optimus and megatron is going to get. It also really made me warm up to megatrons voice actor which i thought was just underwhelming in the first trailer
One note: D-16's insignia is not the Decepticon symbol, it is actually a print of Megatronus' face, something that was already shown in the first trailer
@@Wozat-is8it then i hope they remembered that WfC and FoC were also deemed as aligned continuity and they have at least thrown some callbacks to the games.
3:01 now that you mention that, i remembered in the first trailer they did show a character with a helmet that resembled the decepticon logo (Megatronus?), so likely megatron gets that t-cog and is part of the reason for his character change in this continuity
It did show his T-cog turning purplish instead of staying blue Perhaps it was the combination of the power of the cog from Mrgatronus and Megatron finally able to lash out against the higher classes because he is no longer a “lowly worker bot”
That's kind of a live action movie continuity pull I think it's better if he religiously follows Megatronus and actually seeing his idol it fully Influences him to adapt Megatronus as the face of the decepticonism

I was lucky enough to catch an advanced screening of the film on Tuesday. The first trailer did not do the film any justice at all! I won’t say much, but the film is definitely a celebration of the Transformers franchise/fans and you caught on several interesting details. Great video!
1:12 Worth noting is that those two robots D-16 bumps into aren't Darkwing himself; they have different color schemes than Darkwing (one on the left looks like Needlenose/Quake's colors, one on the right has familiar colors but I can't quite identify him), while having the same model. Maybe they're relatives of Darkwing and throw Orion Pax and D-16 to him for messing with them, or they're part of the same caste/service and thus have similar body-types _a la_ the Vehicons and Seekers. I find it interesting that D16 has yellow optic similar to G1 Megatron Box Art, before changed to red later in the movie. And yet Orion Pax retain the blue throughout, unlike G1 Optimus box that features same yellow color. On one hand it perfectly encapsulates how Megatron is corrupted by power, while Prime remain incorruptible. But on another hand I do wish Orion has yellow optic even for a while.
The only thing I'm worried about is a shot in the trailer of Megatron's T-Cog glowing and transforming his arm (around the middle of the trailer). It's all but stated the T-Cogs are from the Primes; it would be a really easy cop-out for them to say "The Fallen's T-Cog corrupted Megatron!" and remove any nuance from his fall. It doesn't seem like that's the case, but I'm cautious. Otherwise, I am nothing but hyped for this EDIT: Watched the movie, can safely confirm that this was not the case at all (in fact, quite the opposite). I couldn't be happier, Megatron's fall being entirely of his own volition is so much better than any external influence.
It could be more of a voice in his mind that is basically the devil on his shoulder, encouraging his worst impulses and desires that were already there. So less it being Megatronous controlling him and more guiding him to his path of tyranny.

I'd imagine Orion gets this and this is where the division with Megatron ramps up. Megatron feeling he should be the leader, and Orion being the chosen one.
There’s also a Matrix Engraving on the wall behind the statues of the primes or so you call it, it’s just something I noticed after watching the trailer twice. Really hyped though!
Really hoping as the movie goes on, Hemsworth starts trying to sort of imitate Peter Cullen and eventually towards the end, Cullen is the voice for Optimus. Maybe they could mesh both voices somehow without making it sound awkward or bad
I’m hoping, that even if they don’t do that, they allow Peter Cullen to voice someone. Even just a cameo. Like how they allowed Charles Martinet to voice someone in the Mario movie
I think Starscream is going to be hunting Orion and D-16 before D-16 makes a complete joke out of Starscream (as usual), resulting in Shockwave and Soundwave praising him. He lets the power of leadership get to his head and takes leadership of the Decepticons. By the mid-point of the film, D-16 (now Megatron) recruits an entire army to fight against the unfair class system of Cybertron.

I was surprised that you didn't seem to see that they find alfa trion with the other primes. I noticed it in the first trailer, (they walk by an offlined onyx prime) and I recognized vector primes body when it gives you that over head view of the toothed cave. it's possible that prima (the original bearer of the matrix) is also in there, and so that's where pax gets the Matrix of Leadership. (yes I saw your pinned comment)
I decided not to speak too in depth about those dead bodies as we can’t yet confirm they are the primes. Perhaps they are other scholars like Alpha Trion. Yes, one of them is wearing the Decepticon symbol as a mask, but, you never know, they may be taking the lore somewhere else
3:51 Im pretty sure Thundercracker is on the right side of the screen, but at 6:34, there seems to be two seekers that also look like Thundercracker on the left.
I wonder how their cast system is structured. Since only some Cybertronians have alt-modes, it dosen't seem to be Functionism as it was in the IDW comics.
Honestly I hope this movie does well. It feels like transformers has lost its main stream presence after the Bay movies were done. If its as good as people claim this could bring in a lot of new fans and attention.
Yea the first trailer was okay, the second one definitely gave me a ill definitely watch this movie, but my expectations aren’t very high. Now if they made a Transformers movie woth the Bumblebee movie Cybertron opening battle designs of the autobots and decepticons that would be awesome!

...So let me get this straight... are you implying that you're upset that Transformers One is a movie made to be appealing towards kids and families alike as opposed to just being solely for a mature older audience(teens and adults only)?
@@DeltaTrion well that's good know pal. The thing is... those people(specifically some "older mature fans") who are constantly whining about Transformers One Animated movie for being a Transformers movie made primarily for a target audience of kids and families, demanding it to be a very "mature" and "dark" movie, and be made for a mature older audience only, are clearly misguided on what makes great movies in general and are clearly in denial that their beloved "childhood" franchise that has always been primarily for kids since the beginning, is a franchise made for kids(and families). Every Transformers cartoon shows such as Transformers Prime, Animated, Earthspark, Beast Wars, Robots In Disguise(2001), Armada, etc. are for kids as the primary target audience. And for the most part, they were great because of how "well-made" they are, NOT based on their "maturity" level, they were good made cartoon shows. Kids loved them(therefore they were successful by their target audience), and at the same time it's also enjoyed by families alike. It's the parents who want to spend time with their kids in watching a show, especially for those who are older fans of Transformers and want to share their love for Transformers with their kids. Oh by the way, something that's mature, dark and gritty does not automatically make something like a movie or show inherently great, because of course it does not, they are not even required when making a movie or series well-made, like Netflix's live action Avatar the last airbender series(which apparently the crew behind that series wanted it to be Game of Thrones style... and I guess we all know how that turned out...).
im still new the transformers lore but, wasnt megatron suppose to be the "first ever decepticon"? obviously putting aside The Fallen and leige maximus. but megatron being the first one to bear the name "decepticon"?
In some iterations yes. It seems like in this movie, there is a group of rebels that consist of classic Decepticon characters, but Megatron might unite them under the Decepticon moniker.
I could nitpick on a lot of subjective issues I have but those are, well subjective. But what I think is a lot more objective of an issue becomes even clearer for me in this trailer: the trend of just hiring prominent actors for voice acting to help fill theater seats. I don't think any of the main cast are bad per se, but they're mostly VERY lackluster to me. Now, I've loved Keegan Michael Key since his "Hypothetical Criminal" days on Reno 911, but every time I've heard this Bumblebee open his mouth, I just see Key's face superimposed on Bumblebee. He even did an interview a bit back in which he shared that he asked Cooley what kind of voice he was thinking for Bumblebee and Cooley just told him to do his own voice. Huge red flag for me...standard actors have the benefit of conveying emotion with body language and facial expressions and by all accounts, I think the main four of this cast are pretty great in that regard. But in voice acting, you HAVE to be able to inflect a wide range because your voice is doing ALL of the acting, regardless of what comes of that with the animation afterwards. And I'm personally just not hearing much of that without these actors just sounding like I've heard them in interviews. Brian Henry is probably the one of the main cast that escapes this problem for me a bit and actually sounds pretty good and imposing in this trailer as Megatron...but that may also be because I've only ever heard his voice in the Godzilla Kong movies before this. 🤷♂️ I dunno, I'd be interested in your thoughts on this recent phenomenon Delta. Otherwise, I'm glad the buzz does seem positive even if it isn't really my bag, it can only be good for the brand.
100% agree with you on the issue that has become celerity castings instead of using traditional VA's. I think it's clear to see why, as you said, to get people in the theater, and from a marketing standpoint it makes sense. The amount of money that CAN be made from a bankable star far outweighs the money that CAN be saved using a VA who will obviously cost less to higher (due to many reasons). All that being said, I do think it is important to take a look at all the animated movies from the 90's that had celebrity casts too. Prince of Egypt, Lion King, Toy Story, etc. Thats not me saying it's ok, but I do think that many people see the celebrity casting thing as something brand new. I do agree with you, I would have preferred maybe some more seasoned VA's instead of these big name stars. As for a video on the topic, I might at some point.
@@DeltaTrion Good points, and to be totally fair to TF One, we haven't heard all of the work these actors did and won't until it's out. So is it possible there's more range and actual sincere attempts at doing something other than one's own voice? Absolutely, and as such I'll reserve full judgement on the subject...but my ears are a bit troubled just by the snippets we've gotten. And you're spot-on, big name actors have been dabbling in VA for decades. But to play devil's advocate, I'll just use some of your examples...I don't really get the same bravado of Home Improvement's Tim "the Toolman" Taylor in Tim Allen's Buzz Lightyear, there's a different feel of some arrogance but also full of hope and a sense of adventure to me. I don't hear any of Jeremy Iron's British heritage really in Scar's subtly vicious sneering (imagine if he had been cast as say Sentinel Prime and Cooley told him to just do his own voice 😂). I just haven't heard the same levels of VA in these trailers from anyone other than Brian Tyree Henry just from initial impressions. 🤷♂️ Also, wasn't implying I needed a video from you on it, but I'd definitely watch it if you ever did 😅 I just appreciate the discussion we're having here, keep up the great work!
I HOPE that its revealed that Orion is an reincarnation of one of the Primes. If not this movie the next one. They are trying to do too much with this movie. I hope they leave enough lore for the other two parts (triology please!!!)
It's a much better trailer for sure. With the exception of Bumblebee who feels like an MCU comic relief character, everything else sells the movie for me.
As a die hard, this is the first TFs Movie I have been excited about for a long time. I was slightly excited about ROTB when they showed Unicron in the trailer, but I was quickly let down when I realised it was still a humans with Transformers in it film, and that Unicron was nearly pointless even being in the film. One, however, looks very cool. I wish Bumblebee would bugger off as a main character nowadays, but other than that (and he looks better in this than the non-speaking roles), this film looks great. Not a human or commentary on black and Hispanic culture anywhere to seen (unbelievably the ROTB director stated that the film had that type of commentary in it... as if anyone going to see a TFs movie cares about anything other than the robots, let alone racial and social issues... and the filmed mentioned racism and then the mother was actually racist against white people which is just ridiculously stupid and pointless, and how can that be right when you couldn'thave a white person say 'Black people love that shit'?). It's just a film about Transformers and nothing else... well Quintessons as well, but they are important in the mythos and very cool and very unhuman and not racist, just evil.
The first trailer made me so disappointed and not at all hopeful for the movie... But who ever made the second trailer was cooking! Im actually really, really excited for the movie now
Transformers acting like humans in another kiddified long form advert for toys that are of a low quality. I remember when Hasbro altered the storyline direction of IDW after phase 2 with All Hail Megatron. Instead of the high concept take on the Cybertronians the story went back to idiotic evil and basic-bitch goodguys. The Bay-verse was nonsensical in the end. All we ever get is pure suck. AI animation generation will change this...
I totally agree. It's as if the essence of every quip, gag, and one-liner from the MCU was distilled into its purest form, injected directly into the heart of Transformers, and left to marinate. No wonder Hasbro hired MCU actors, who else could bring such flair to metallic beings on a doomed planet? Classic Hasbro, transforming it into yet another unserious spectacle tailor-made for preteens.

Yes, one of them is wearing the Decepticon symbol as a mask, but, you never know, they may be taking the lore somewhere else
true, and that's another reason I'm so excited for this! I just can't wait to see where it goes!
*I wanna see dreadwing in this movie too. Loving the looks of it so far.*
I thought it looked so lame at first but this trailer made me do a full 180
3:51 Im pretty sure Thundercracker is on the right side of the screen, but at 6:34, there seems to be two seekers that also look like Thundercracker on the left.
It's like generation one, with the army of star screams
5:54 it looks more like soundwave then megatron when you said “we could see prime fighting shockwave starscream and megatron”
That's definitely Soundwave.
@@ashlxserii more importantly, why dose it look like prime just killed soundwave
I wonder how their cast system is structured. Since only some Cybertronians have alt-modes, it dosen't seem to be Functionism as it was in the IDW comics.
The bots are minors well don't let Drake hear this
Very excited! Looks like G1 to my 52 year old eyes. Never a fan of the extreme many moving parts of the Bay films. Lived long enough for vindication 🎉
4:25
I wouldn’t say he’s being attacked, it’s more like being threatened.
3:34 Little detail, but he isn’t Optimus prime yet, he doesn’t have the extended shoulders or the matrix as of yet like in 5:30
3:48 I think that's Thundercracker.
Honestly I hope this movie does well. It feels like transformers has lost its main stream presence after the Bay movies were done.
If its as good as people claim this could bring in a lot of new fans and attention.
the other bodies around alpha trion and the main cast are probably the other primes
Yea the first trailer was okay, the second one definitely gave me a ill definitely watch this movie, but my expectations aren’t very high. Now if they made a Transformers movie woth the Bumblebee movie Cybertron opening battle designs of the autobots and decepticons that would be awesome!
Actually, i believe they are just a group of seekers with shockwave and soundwave, starscream directing them and then megatron takes over
4:28 Sentinel Prime? Never guessed that was him
Let me guess? You were thinking either dotm or animated?😅
Pleeeeeaase let Shockwave be a spider tank!
He transforms into a jet-like thing from the Fall of Cybertron.
@@k.guzhvin4952 dang, spider tank shockwave was my fav toy I got from Universal Studios. ;-;
Amazing
I'm exited to go see the movie but wow did they fumble the design of soundwave and arachnid
Trepidatous?
Anyways very exciting stuff Ive definitely been convinced on this movie
Its very exciting to get a AGE OF WRATH MOVIE
The faces still give me uncanny valley vibes and the humor is a bit much for me at times but this trailer has won me over can't wait to see the movie with my friends opening weekend
Yeah, trepidatious for sure. And I would agree the faces are probably my only gripe at this point. But other than that, very excited.
@@DeltaTrion also I have no idea what trepidatious means lol
...So let me get this straight... are you implying that you're upset that Transformers One is a movie made to be appealing towards kids and families alike as opposed to just being solely for a mature older audience(teens and adults only)?
Not me no. I do think the majority of the fan base is upset for that. Which is unfortunate. Movie looks fun and like a great time
@@DeltaTrion well that's good know pal.
@@warknightxl2167 you guys would be traumatized by the original film. Wtf is wrong with society?
@@GODCONVOYPRIME I'm sorry to ask, but what are you talking about?
@@warknightxl2167 exactly .
I have no idea why everyone absolutely hates the first trailer it’s great, yall are way to picky
I think that’s Thundercracker instead of Slipstream.
That’s shockwave soundwave and Starscream
"My finger can transform"
The charecters your trying to make out is Redwing the red one next to Skywarp 3:46
4:51 it’s named the Iacon 5000
Did anyone notice megatron eyes change from yellow to orange, and finally red.
im still new the transformers lore but, wasnt megatron suppose to be the "first ever decepticon"? obviously putting aside The Fallen and leige maximus. but megatron being the first one to bear the name "decepticon"?
In some iterations yes. It seems like in this movie, there is a group of rebels that consist of classic Decepticon characters, but Megatron might unite them under the Decepticon moniker.
i love u content
I dunno, I'd be interested in your thoughts on this recent phenomenon Delta.
Also, wasn't implying I needed a video from you on it, but I'd definitely watch it if you ever did 😅 I just appreciate the discussion we're having here, keep up the great work!
I HOPE that its revealed that Orion is an reincarnation of one of the Primes. If not this movie the next one. They are trying to do too much with this movie. I hope they leave enough lore for the other two parts (triology please!!!)
I hope in this movie will be greatest
But i need ask
Where is the Breakdown?
It's a much better trailer for sure. With the exception of Bumblebee who feels like an MCU comic relief character, everything else sells the movie for me.
I think Transformers one will be good. ROTB was good & I don’t care that it flopped at the box office.
THIS is a Transformers movie.
Night and day difference between trailer 1 and 2
As a die hard, this is the first TFs Movie I have been excited about for a long time.
I thought Megs was a gladiator
they borrow plot from aligned continuity. A spiritual prequel of tf prime
How did this happened optimus prime never use abuse/inappropriate things, as a Prime and Thirteen prime, He is most honourable prime
The first trailer made me so disappointed and not at all hopeful for the movie...
But who ever made the second trailer was cooking! Im actually really, really excited for the movie now
Allso guys bee was in solitary confinement.. it's why he's unhinged alittle.. talking to himself & making dummy robots to talk to.. 😏
first trailer made me cringe, this one makes me want to see it
I won't deny that I found the whole middle finger a bit dumb, but I'll try to keep an open mind if they add to much human humor in the movie.
That’s what Optimus looks like?
I don’t like it.
Still looks lame and generic
