- This one is a bit of a special one. We have a special guest featuring on this one. I invited my bassist from my own band to play bass on this and he agreed! He's more of a bassist than I am. haha
We also have new artwork made by Mushycelium! I think from now I'm going to start using custom artwork from him. We brainstorm some art ideas together so I hope you like them. The silktongs crew has expanded.
I always liked the song State Of Shock and thought it had a lot of potential. I was originally planning on make a Trilogy "outtake" of this one but I'm still not confident enough on my Trilogy tone yet. I decided to make it an Insomniac track because I thought it fit the fast pace feel of the album. The original sounds like a classic punk song and I just love Insomniac. I pulled drums mostly from Stuck With Me and Bab's Uvula Who? but I used fragments from other Insomniac drums tracks. I spliced the drums together and then synced the vocals. After that, I played guitar over it and sent it over to @Turnosity to have him record bass. Then @st.jimmysstuff4165 mixed it. @mushycelium made the album art. This is the mix I have the most people work on and I hope it was worth it! ENJOY..

This mix sounds indistinguishable which is incredible, it feels like an Insomniac B-side that could have ended up on Shenanigans!
Turnosity's bass playing in particular really encapsulates and captures Mike Dirnt's catchy and melodic style for Insomniac!
The AI vocals along with the harmonies sound absolutely spot-on (they give me Do Da Da and Walking Contradiction vibes).
I love the album artwork, it looks exactly like the singles' art! I actually think this might be your best sounding Insomniac mix yet

this sounds incredible, final version of the original would've make a catchy and great song, I wonder why they dont finish it, but here u are, bringing the song to life! We appreciate your hardwork and all the helpers too!
This is sooooo freaking good! I listen to it daily, can you please try to make more insomniac versions. Shenanigans imo would be a great album to convert. Thank you so much, keep up the amazing work!

Straight off the album, when you previewed it and I instantly noticed the big difference I knew I was in for a treat.
But ngl, this has actually interesed me along with the Basket Case one on trilogy/demolicious outtakes. I see songs from 39/Smooth &/or Slappy Hours working outstandingly
