Heck yeah! I was at this show! This is actually one of the few FOB songs I didn't know, and the only one of the show I didn't know. My friend was going absolutely CRAZY when they started this song! Didn't realize until after the show ended that this was their first time playing this song in full, and I'm glad to have been there to experience that! Thanks for this great recording and POV!
I haven't listened to it in awhile so I was a bit rusty on some of the lyrics on the verses, but wow was this an unexpected 8 Ball! I about lost it when Homesick started playing too bc I was convinced today was destined to be a Dead On Arrival day with the way they've been alternating that spot. Hopefully I get Chicago in Jax!

And then I search it on youtube to watch live version and found this video saying this is the FIRST LIVE of this song?? How come?? Is this song not popular among FOB fans? I'm curious
This song was recorded for their first greatest hits album right before their hiatus. Once they came back, they predominantly played hits and new music in tours afterwards as they put out new music. On this tour though they have been doing a surprise song slot in their setlist and have played many songs never played outside of the studio before. They’ve almost played their entire discography at least once live now. Fans love a lot of these songs including Alpha Dog, the band just hadn’t been playing them.
This is very cool I hope that all of the songs that ended up in snippets of Melody's for the piano part of the show eventually get performed live as well in its entirety
I'm still in shock we got Alpha Dog! I've been lucky enough to go to four songs since they started tourdust last songs and i've gotten the following 8 balls: Miss Missing You (Tampa), XO, GINASFS (Boston), Alpha Dog (Orlando), and I'm Like A Lawyer (Jax).
Alpha Dog has had snippets of it played in medley's before, but this is the first full live performance!
