I do think there's room to remake 5 and 6 but actually change them. Don't worry about including everything. Rebuild them from scratch to be more like recent RE games. It would be so cool to look forward to a new game with Wesker as the villain again
More like recent RE game in what way? RE is still campy, it's still a shooting game. Only difference would be first person gameplay and improved graphics. Which I don't think it needs either.
the stories of 5 and 6 are a bit too much however if they simplify them, they can be INCREDIBLE. I LOVED the idea of working with someone in 5 and the idea of numerous stories including descendents of the original RE family in 6. They were just more action focused vs darker toned games.
Original dead space is an action focused horror game, So it's possible. And if they remake RE5 the same way it would be amazing! RE6 on the other hand has a problem in the main story. I love the story and the characters but it's not a horror game in it's core. BUT!! It still has the best gameplay mechanics! RE6 is a john wick simulator and if they lean in to that then it will be amazing! Remove the QTE's, expand mercenaries and it will be a 10/10 for me!
I feel like ever since the quality shift in RE7, MHW and DMC5...Capcom have been one of the few devs that i can actually relly on. So whatever they decide to go with in RE9, i'm here for it!
Capcom has literally been doing nothing but going down the drain ever since and starting with 7 released with one fluke with REmake 2 being good. You people are out of your mind.
@@wolf1nsoul It doesn't blow my mind at all. People with taste, standards and discernment are the minority in the world and video games is no different. If they weren't, tripe like Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, etc wouldn't be at double digit sequels by now. It's always amusing when someone uses one of the classic fallacies thinking it's an actual argument.
@@deathtoraiden2080 Look dude, just because you don't like the new aproach of Capcom - doesn't mean everyone else has a bad taste in games. There's plenty of hardcore fans of Capcom since the beginning, that love what they are doing right now. I was also in minority as a SoulsBorne fan for a long time, but Elden Ring brought the genre to mainstream and that's ok - everything is gotta change at some point, like it or not :)
I think this might happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is released in 2026 for the 30th anniversary. Just speculation and maybe a bit of wishful thinking 😅
RobinGaming you are in for a treat if you are going into this first time. RE4 is acclaimed by many as one of the greatest of all time. This one set the bar very very high. So if the remake is true to the original it’s going to be a really really good buy. I like the direction of the new titles. But this one was just so special when it first launched.
I still strongly recommend you check out original RE4. It’s one of the greatest games of all time. So many games were inspired by different elements of it years after its release even to this day. I’m looking forward to this remake and it looks amazing, but I think you need to experience the original classic at some point too. I try to play it at least once every year just to re-live the nostalgia of it all.
I agree. The original RE4 is lightning in a bottle and as good as the remake will be, it won’t recreate the magic of the original. That’s impossible. Everyone should still play the original.
I still want a Code Veronica Remake damnit, Alexia vs Wesker needs to be seen with current gen technology! As for the future of the series, I agree with whoever said a new protag like Ethan would be excellent. Maybe someone like Rose whose superhuman but hesitant about their origins/powers battling through a horrific biohazard situation.
@@Kurtisie the only RE games worth remaking besides code veronica(which is a mainline RE game-you opposing that doesnt make sense but whatever), is survivor and outbreak. Dont tell me you want a remake of re5 and re6
@@dathip I would much rather have a meaningful remake of 5 & 6 than that garbage Code Veronica game. It was so horrible! Why would anyone want such a bad game remade? At least 5 & 6 are salvageable with some focused reworking. There is no saving Veronica, it’s just a terrible game all around and doesn’t deserve a remake. I think it’s pretty clear that Capcom agrees, too. I hope that clears things up for you bud! Have a great one :)
9:00 I hate that part of Village when Chris told the truth about Ethan halfway through the game! Chris could’ve told it in the beginning after they killed the fake Mia.
RE Code Veronica is the most underrated game of the franchise and the most deserving of a remake. It's astonishing that a lot of people that i know never played this game because they thought it was a spin off, when in the reality this game is more deserving of the RE3 title that RE3 Nemesis itself.
If Resident Evil 5 and 6 were not very positively received. Then the challenge won't be just remaking the graphics and gameplay but also the story. Capcom must treat the remake of these 2 games as if they will be making new games.
Resident evil 5 is one of the best selling games from the franchise so How was is not well received? Yeah it could've been way more scary/survival based off the early footage and concept art
@@ChillGuySammy when are you people going to learn that "best selling" doesn't always mean quality or that a majority even like it.... I also bought Resident Evil 5 and it's by far my least favorite game, if not, one of the worst RE games.
@Player3 I have the absolute opposite opinion my guy, very well made RE game and excellent coop game Only thing wrong with it is not enough horror and inventory management
@@ChillGuySammy Best selling doesn't mean anything. Capcom clarified this shit years ago. RE6 was the best selling game in the franchise and yet the game was critically panned by critics and fans. Capcom prefer positive reception over higher sales. They're thinking long term. It's the reason why RE7 went back to horror instead of heavy action like RE6.
I loved re7. It was so scary and playing the madhouse difficulty had me terrified. Like genuinely. I hope they bring back wesker in re9 and keep the first person horror
Hey Robin it would be cool if you streamed the PS5 conference next Wednesday. It might turn out dry and boring but it would be nice, especially with your recent comeback to these gaming videos
I waited so long to buy it because a lot of people were complaining about the game, I ended up buying it on sale for 8,99 or so and absolutely loved it
Re7 was very much an homage to the first resident evil, Village is homage to Re4 so it was meant to much more over the top and less grounded. Just my 2 cents enjoyed the video Robin.
Thank youuuu. The biggest misconception around Re8 is the fact everyone thinks it’s not on par with 7’s horror - but it’s not SUPPOSED to be horror, the devs intentionally made it over the top.
@@dillpickles9146 Exactly bro and i agree about your opinion. For me RE4 is my personal favourite and I can't wait for RE4 Remake. It's gonna be way better than the original. Here is my ranking of all RE games 1. RE4 2. RE2 Remake 3. RE8 4. RE7 5. RE3 Remake 6. RE5 7. RE1 Remake 8. RE0 9. RE3 Nemesis 10. RE2 Original 11. RE Code Veronica X 12. RE6 13. RE1 Original 14. RE Revelations 2 15. RE Revelations 1
@@dillpickles9146 it's actually because Japanese complained RE 7 was too scary, you can search it, maybe some part of this theory is true, but RE 7 was indeed controversial in Japan, even with the censoring
What I love about the RE franchise is that it's like the original MCU, in the way that you play each game and it feels like you're part of a bigger plot. All characters are connected through different bits and pieces and you enjoy when those characters bump into each other or mention situations from other games. Also, people seem to forget that this is supposed to be cheesy over-the-top writing as it originally mimicked B horror movies from the 80s. That's why Leon is a constant one-liner machine and there's so many cliches everywhere. I really hope they move on from remakes (5/6 were mediocre at best) and personally would prefer a comeback to raccoon city by Chris and Leon, and go back to something similar to RE2 Remake (which I think is the best RE game to date)
I certainly wouldn't mind seeing re5 and 6 redone to be more horror focused But I would also like to see more old characters reprising their roles outside of animated films
They could certainly do a more proper action horror for RE5 and RE6. Games like Days Gone has shown that you don't necessarily need creepy factor to be horror. Just the panic-inducing feeling of facing a horde of undead and not being able to do anything about can be horrifying enough. It's why games like Left 4 Dead is an effective horror game while being an action game too.
Whoa, if you've never played RE4 you're in for a treat! it's the 1st RE game I ever played back in the day. It's the only game I've ever played through about 6 times in a row. When my ex-hubby & I first started dating it had just been released & we were both on our 2nd playthrough & one weekend we spent the whole time on the phone talking while we played through it "together". I bought RE7 & couldn't get past the first 10mns. I was so effing scared crapless. I plan on revisiting it after I finish The Quarry & RDR2 & the first playthrough of the RE4 remake, though.
Lol are you saying that you still haven't completed RE7? I love RE7 so much, it is my all time favorite RE game along with RE4. Speaking of RE 4, even I have a lot of great memories of playing this with my friends back in the day. We used to ramp up the difficulty level to the highest and take turns whenever someone died and obviously, all the switch-ups happened extremely fast lmao. We weren't ready for a game like that 😂
@@princesmith8008 Yup. I haven't even barely started RE7. I love horror games but some of them just ramp up my anxiety to 11 & my body physically can't handle it. It also doesn't help that I tiptoe through horror games to up the dread factor instead of just busting the fuck into something I know is going to be horrfying, which would make it less scary.
RE holds up even today there is a reason why its a top tier series even with its ups and downs. It tries to be different in each entry with its fixed down camera angle, 3rd person over the shoulder , or even first person. It still brings the horror element with each entry with the same game mechanics just new and fresh that you remember from the past. Plus people love the lore, characters, environments, and maybe monsters. As a fan of the series RE4 was on of the best games ever made when it came out and still not to bad today. This remake is a big deal and it's looking to copy what the original was doing and making it even better a 2nd time around best game of all time again :)
From what we know, Resident Evil 9 is supposed to be the final chapter in this new trilogy of games. It's going to conclude the story that started with RE7. But with Ethan dead and Rose's story done with. I'm suspecting we're either gonna be playing as Chris again, or we're going to be playing as Jill. Either way, it will probably be even more crazy than village. Wich i don't mind if they can keep the horror elements alive and well. I feel like Village managed to be crazy, action packed while also keeping the horror. But it was borderline abut to lose it somewhat. But i have faith. As for what we're going to see past RE9. I don't know. I think Resident Evil should almost follow the formula of 7. Not a copy paste. But in the sense that they branch of and tell stories from new perspectives with old characters coming in as supporting characters. Ethan works because he is a total nobody everyday man put in an impossible situation. And he doesn't actually survive. Hell, he dies in both games. Has limbs chopped off left and right. Dude is in over his head. So i think RE10 when that time comes should find a new Ethan. We are a total nobody put in this situation and we have to survive. And then when it makes sense old characters show up to give context. And then we can have spin-off games that foccuse more on the Action adventures of Chris, Jill and Leon. Still horror games. But with a action twist to them. Personaly i think Resident Evil 2 Remake is the best one. It nailed the gameplay and structure. I mean, Mr. X was pretty much perfect. So perfect infact that he stole the spotlight from the enemy everyone tought was gonna be better, Nemesis. I'm pumped for the future of the franchise. And i'm pumped for RE4make. I've played the original once. And the trailers are showing me that they are shaking up some things a bit. So i'm not expecting to know what's around every turn. And that has me excited like crazy.
They can pick up the story with Chris cleaning up BSAA mess I just hope they don't lean too much into action/shooter, with the majority of enemies being Chris clones using firearms Usually RE games are best when the majority of enemies use melee or very slow ranged weapons, otherwise I can turn into mindless cover shooter
@@spicydong317 That's the issue with using Chris, Leon and Jill at this point in the story. They are OP God tier characters. Like, i won't lie. I always did like RE6 as a solid action game. But, it just isn't a good RE game. And that's in part because the characters have become too God tier. Just a zombie around the corner is no longer a treath to Chris. You need an army to even make you feel like he's in danger. So if they are gonna put us in the shooes of Chris for the 9th game (the final one in the trilogy), then we sort of need to have Christ be limited in some way. I don't know. It'll be fun to see what they do.
Call my crazy but RE8 was tame compared to RE4. RE8 is zaney and crazy, but RE4 boss fights are more like what you'd expect from Dead Space but even that doesn't live up to the original RE4, and it's not just one or two the boss list in RE4 is extensive. And to top it off all the boss fights can still be completed with the knife (with one or two exceptions requiring grenades).
I know this will probably never happen, but I want a RE game where the main protagonist is Albert Wesker or a campaign entirely to himself similar to Clare and leon from the RE2 remake. Albert Wesker has always been my favorite since I joined this awesome franchise. Every single time I see Albert Wesker on screen to if I'm playing as him or watching him in a cutscene, My hype goes to it's peek. RE5 was my favorite of the series and I hope it gets a remake down the line. But I just hope, I REALLY HOPE! That Albert Wesker gets more screentime and is playable more often. The best way to solve this would be to give him his own game or separate campaign to himself. I don't really care if that's in RE5 remake or the CV remake. But I NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So there is so much to do with remakes entirely. You, of course, have 0 and Code Veronica to do because they are outdated and need the fresh paint 2 and 3 recieved. You can even throw 1 in that mix as well. 5 was a good game entirely, and based off demo gameplay alone, I believe if they approach both 5 and 6 with the same design as 4, they can actually be successful, although, the first 3 games mentioned should be priority before 5 and 6 can be done. Mainly because, they are multiplayer games, and 6 needs redisigned entirely. 5 will literally be a 4 remake with coop, so not much there needs done, but 6 will need to be a mix of village, 4, and 5. They have levels of 4 player coop, so i can understand them doing something like have the story play 2 player until you hit that loading screen, then try to search for someone doing the other story. They can split the campaigns like before, that wasn't the issue, it was the pacing and gameplay entirely that was an issue. Me and my sister just beat 6, and each campaign had its pros and cons, Leons campaign needs redone to feel like RE2, Chris's campaign needs to feel like RE4 and 5 where you have the horror of whats happening with more action, and Jakes campaign needs to cooperately work towards having the Ustanak as a constant pressure all throughout instead of key fights. Anyone can message me to talk more about this, I love RE talk!
6:20 I feel like with RE Village, they should’ve made the castle the last one instead of the first. The castle and the haunted house was the highlight of the game, the rest of the main locations could’ve been improved.
As an old school resident evil fan this video made me face palm so freaking hard. First of all let’s just get out of the way that you absolutely have to play the original RE4 before you play the remake if you really want to understand why that game is so impactful. A lot of old school fans are resident evil four already angry about this remake simply because of the character changes the changes in Ashley‘s character the changes in Ada Wong dress & voice, the changes in the menu system the changes in the attaché case the fact that there is no longer a character model in the attaché case takes away a lot of the personality from the original game the fact that this remake is not transformative the way the original game was. And also the worst of it all is the fact that resident evil 3 remake got absolutely shafted by the devs it was treated so poorly and deserved so much more was unfinished. And resident evil eight was fucking awful I hate the fact that that game gets so much praise when it had absolutely none of the things that made resident evil so good. I have been playing this series the first one was released on the PlayStation one when I was literally eight or nine years old. And I am absolutely disgusted with the direction that the franchise has gone. I dislike Jill’s redesign so much I hate that she’s no longer this beautiful intelligent bombshell of a character. I know some people are going to call me an Incel for saying this but actually I’m a 32-year-old happily married woman so I am that argument does not really stand.
Totally with you. I personally dislike RE7 and RE8 and have no interest in a future installment if Rose Winters will be the protagonist. She's literally Alice from the live action movies. So I'm very damn confused as to how that character (Rose) has gained so much love and support and people actually wanting her to return and be the protagonist of a future game. Isn't her mere existence the whole OPPOSITE of what RE is supposed to be (according to many in the fandom)? And don't get me started with all the people that have said and continue to say "Oh, RE7 revived the franchise!"... Bruh, no. I personally don't mind that Capcom has decided to return to 1st person, but the story and the new characters are just not it. Capcom has such an annoying habit of leaving established characters and unfinished storylines in the dust... ugh. Clearly they are bad at storytelling and character development, but bringing in more new sh*t into their chaotic franchise is just too much. So I also wonder where will they go from here. Personally I wouldn't mind if they gave the RE franchise a definitive end and moved on to brand new IPs.
As someone who played the original RE4 when it came out on the GameCube. I would highly recommend checking out the original RE4 before checking out the REMAKE because CAPCOM is staying true to the original source material fairly well, but there are numerous differences I can see just from the trailers I've seen and the demo that I played. I feel like you'd appreciate the new REMAKE even more by playing thru the original first.
based on their release pattern since re7 (7 biohazard, 2R, 3R, 8 village, 4R) it would make sense to do one more remake before 9. immediately you'd think of 5 and 6 but me personally id love to see a remake of 1 in the style of 2R
One thing I really likedabout the resident evil 2 remake that I think a lot of games fall down on recently are the physics and aniamtion. I liked how the zombies reacted to your gunshots and the damage was actually represented on the model. Perhaps not the best example but I have recently been playing Call of Duty World at War campaign and the physics/animations/AI/dismemberment feel so much more satifying than the modern ones.Theres little details put into it too with ememies carrying on shooting their gun in the air as they fall to the ground or injured enemies that pul out a pistol or throw a grenade and the the bullet marks that show on the bodies.
They need to reinvent RE again with RE10 and remake code Veronica. RE10 being an open world game or a deeply immersive VR game are where they could go.
I wish camera angles would return. But most of all I want an RE game that induces that feeling creeping terror of what’s around the corner, feeling like you don’t have a lot of power. RE Remake absolutely perfected this.
@@lolcow6668 it is good on controller you just have to get used to it because it’s so different, when I played re1 remake I was with you then it just clicked after a while and now I understand that those camera angles make the game way more scarier and better
@@thomasbeard3931 I recently played RE1 Remake (once again) and enjoyed it a lot (also I grew up with those original ones and still love them), but still I can´t help but thinking, how good it might be without fixed camera angles. I understand the "scarier" part when compared to normal 3rd person view. However 1st person is by far the scariest of them in my opinion. Anyways, the biggest problem for me with fixed camera angles is the damage they do to the immersion. I want to feel like being the person who I control. With fixed camera angles I feel like being some other guy watching security cameras, because often times I cannot even see what that person is shooting. I want to see what the person I control is seeing.
I need that Code Veronica Remake after that they could delve into some of the backstories from the novels. They could bring Rebecca back with a Caliban Cove game based on the novel.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate your praise for the franchise for the first 4 minutes of the video. I didn't play RE on PS1, but did play them on PS3 and played a shitload of RE4 and RE5 on PS3. I'm currently going back to completing RE0 and RE1 remakes. RE0 is so awesome because you get to see the beginning of it such as Wesker in his first appearance. It's just a really good franchise to go back to no matter which installment it is. I have to say though, I never got into RE6, but the rest is pure class. I also want to take a moment to appreciate that you are one of the VEEEERY few UA-camr's that actually make videos the way I want it. I just want someone to talk and bring up different points. "In depth gamign content" like your channel says is what I'm talking about. I don't always want super specific videos like reviews, top 10 lists or connecting gaming to known theories in psychology for example (Daryl Talks Games), at least when I'm just chilling and want to sit down and listen to someone talk about interesting things in games while working on something or while playing something. You have earned a subscriber for sure. This approach to gaming UA-caming is really rare, so thank you so much. Sometimes top 10 lists and reviews are nice, but it's the variation that is golden. Once again, thank you so much Robin!!!
It's not hard RE6 is the real game that requires a remake. It had so many great ideas lost to production issues. They need to finish what they started and finish the original characters story with a real RE7
I think after re4 remake they should look into remaking cvx then just stop remakes all together and focus on the main games and some new side installments like the revelations series. Bringing back some older characters in those like Rebecca, Carlos etc.
Resident evil has been my absolute favorite series since '98 I love these. I hope we really get a code veronica and RE1 REmakes but we probably won't. But I liked 8 I just felt 7 was better more Resident Evil type of game. I how they keep the over the shoulder camera like the remakes and re8 dlc.
@Sparky RE1 already have remake since Gamecube but they could change into today gameplay. On Gamecube and also HD Remaster, they are still sticking with original gameplay with added Alternative control but its still consider original. RE1 is most likely next remake after RE4 and before RE9. RE9, I bet Capcom is going spend more time with it.
There is definitely room for a Code Veronica remake or even making Operation Javier a full game. Some may say a re5/re6 remake but i honestly think it's a bit ridiculous to just remake all the mainline games. If we are thinking after a CV remake, for instance, it would be best for them to focus on completely new games. Maybe making some spin-off series of games that takes place in-between the original trilogy and exploring more into the lore that hasn't been touched on much.
Resident Evil 9 will Star Chris, the Hound Wolf Squad, and most likely Jill. At the end of Village Chris travels to B.S.A.A European headquarters to uncover The Connections (Mia and Mother Miranda’s organization that created Evelyn) involvement with creating bio weapon soldiers at B.S.A.A
Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game. I'm excited for this remake! The campiness of RE is part of it's charm honestly. I can't imagine any game in the series without it
Including the light and day mechanics from the scrapped RE5 version along with co-op that actually splits you up at times in stressfull situations could do wonders to make the game feel new
I'll be fair with the story on Village here, up until he found Mia in Miranda's lab even Chris didn't know what had happened to her and he likely told Ethan as much during the glossed (perhaps even somewhat skipped) over explanation towards the end of the factory. Which is likely why Ethan's reaction was "I'm going to kill Miranda" after having his chat with Chris; because as far as he knew, Mia was dead but he was still able to save Rose. As for future games, after Resi 4 I would love for them to start revisiting some of their other series, Capcom has a library of IPs they haven't done anything with for decades. Onimusha and Dino Crisis are two that immediately come to mind that are massively overdue for a new entry. Hell, at this point I would love a remake of the original Dino Crisis.
Yo Robin I really hope you answe i need advise what is your opinion on the last of us 2 without any spoilers ? i already know what hapens to Joel i bought the game but heard that it has negativr comments so I am relcutant weather to start playing it or return it Pls answer
They should make re3r the director's cut then make a recv remake and then re9 and keep all of them very survival horror with just enough action and i think that would be awesome and they can't make these remakes linear when the originals really weren't
If they do a remake for a less than stellar game like code Veronica, I think it would be a pretty easy task for them. OR they could remake Dino crisis, that would be pretty hype.
i wish capcom would focus on their toy line, the toys for these games are super expensive but they were dope. the RE4 toys are some of the ones i never got a chance to buy.
I think they should do a remake of 5 but actually change the story enough it so it’s more horror based. As much as cool a meme it is. No punching boulders and shit like that. Less bullets.
Remaking code Veronica x would be amazing. The thing is they have an introduced Albert Wesker but I don’t think that matters too much. Resident evil four has Jack krauser and there isn’t a previous remake to explain him and Leon’s connection. Code. Veronica is a long game and it would make sense to follow Claire after the events of resident evil two. Code. Veronica was one of my favorite games growing up, playing it on the Dreamcast.
Literally RE4 put the bar so high that the most recent RE games still haven’t matched. If they stay true to the original game than this game can go down as one of the greatest remakes ever just like how RE4 went down as one of the greatest games ever
-RECV remake, I wouldn't hate it, and I really want to. It continues the Claire/Chris story. -Capcom could really use a proper PVE/PVP game, which RE Outbreak remake using the RE2+RE3 assets/maps/levels with the current addon games (REsistance/REverse) making a complete package which could've/would've/should've been a great move! With co-op, crossplay, and bot support. Each subsequent game/remake, in addition to the current newer games, would add more stages/maps/characters/enemies. Seems like a missed opportunity. -RE1+ RE0 remake in the RE engine in 3rd person to bring them up to date would be amazing aswell. Maybe a combo package like the RE2+RE3 remake was in the beginning of development or like a RE4 with a separate ways campaign (RE0) that opens up later. -If RE4 works out, which it looks like it's going to, then the RE5 remake also could make sense. Plays a lot like RE4 just amped up (like RE2 to RE3). -There's honestly a lot of options they have and could go, but like mentioned, they have already dropped the ball a little in some areas.
We are still relying on classic characters for a reason. They have … character and are memorable. Ethan is just a blank slate fool. This is also why I prefer third person. I can more relate and get attached to this character I am playing as. My fav of recent release is re2 remake
I love these third person remakes, I think that's the way to go for 9 and beyond. They look great, they feel great, they play great, you get more attached to the characters when you can see them in the cutscenes. The more serious approach to horror is perfect. I loved 7 for reviving the franchise and taking it back to formula, but the last few times I tried to get back into it I was just bored by the lack of variety in everything. It's got it's moments of peak horror, but it's mostly just gross to me. 8 did go a little off the rails. I still like the idea of having all the staple horror monsters pseudo-scientifically explained in the series as parasitic/viral/psychedelic transformations, but some of it was too out of pocket for the series.
Agreed. The way to go now is they should make re9, but in the style of REmake4. It would be such a great time to capitalize on that. Give us a NEW story featuring Leon plz. His character arc from REmake2 to 4 needs to be a trilogy.
We need code veronica. Its not a want its a legitimate need. There is a massive gap in continuity between 2 and 4 that most people will have 0 clue what happened in the interim.
Here is an objective truth. We need an original re2 zapping system. That is one of those cases that had me thrilled for future installments, which has never been bested. That is why og re2 is the undisputed best one. Hollywood types of character storytelling can carry a game so far.
Ethan was a great Charakter. Im playing Village again right now and ITS really good also in VR ITS amazing. I Like that Capcom IS keeping the Franchise fresh and Always do Something new. Also I Hope they Remake every Game Code Veronica, 5 and 6 👌
Re village story was terrible. The baby being split into 4 pieces, Chris being all secretive about everything, ethan not caring about his wife. It was all done so badly
I believe for now we will be getting interchangeably sequels/remakes. So next should be RE IX, as for remakes I wish they can do RE0+1, Code Veronica X, 5 and finally 6 as big finale of remakes for foreseeable future. But who really knows what Capcom will do with the franchise, maybe after that they finally make Dino Crisis games in the same vain as RE Engine Resident Evil games. Last but not least I hope you enjoy RE4Remake, I like original and so far REmakes are awesome so I bet RE4R will be too. Have a good day!
@@josephhagel7717 Sorry dude, but I don’t think RE3R will get anything anymore. If we want another shot at RE3N, we have to wait for like 20 years for another Remake. Game was good, just not a good remake, I agree with that.
Wouldn’t that need a 2 year dev time? Everything from RE4 onwards has been much longer than the earlier ones, and have taken 4 or 5 years to make, and it’s still not been that long from RE8. I don’t think we’ll seen RE9 until about 2026 and RE5 until even later.
I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about people wanting a resident evil zero remake. I definitely want one cause that game is awful but the content of it is awesome it could definitely benefit heavy from being remade. Plus they could give billy the Carlos and Luis treatment making a previously very forgettable side character into someone more realistic and loveable. Honestly probably even moreso than code Veronica I think I want zero as soon as possible.
Next they need to remake Code Veronica and possibly 5 (with significant adjustments). Then they need to find a way to move the series forward post-Ethan and expand upon the lore of the mold.
Really looking forward to 4 remake I love the Res 1 hd remaster, Zero, loved original 2, 3 the remaster of 2 was terrific as was the third even though annoyingly so much was cut from it.I quite like revelations 2, 7 with Bakers was ok I prefer village
I just really want to see a survival game that takes place either in Raccoon city during the events of RE2/3, or a similar cataclysm in a city and just have it not be shit or a cheap cashgrab multiplayer mode that should have just been included in another game. Raccoon city is my favorite setting in all of Resident Evil, it's what made me fascinated with the franchise for literally a decade before I played any of the games, Capcom obviously has a lot of love for the setting too... at least in so far as to use it as the backdrop for almost all of their spinoff titles. RE2 Remake is so far my favorite of all the games, though it might soon be eclipsed by 4 as the original was a very close second for me. I just wish we could get a genuine survival horror game within the city while it's overrun with the T-Virus without it devolving into an action game with cars flying everywhere and explosions and Fast and the Furious levels of dumb over the top action, not confined to a single building but exploring the city proper and seeing the sheer chaos of the initial hours of the outbreak too
@@billyboleson2830 yes basically. Imagine the atmosphere of the intro of RE2 but instead of a cutscene when you leave the gas station you literally keep driving and have to navigate Raccoon City and can go anywhere, but depending on what you do you may not have the option of escaping the nuke or even learning about it in-game
Hey man, I didn't know you were into Resident Evil and that you were covering these games! I'd love to hear what you thought of the Resident Evil 4 remake. I absolutely agree that RE's story and especially the characters often lack the depth and development you would like to see. It's got this weird identity crisis where it's trying to be more grounded, but at its core it's still very cheesy, campy and videogame-y. Sometimes that works very well and other times it kind of falls flat
I think Code Veronica needs a remake or at least a port to modern platforms. Especially the same with Outbreak, because why do they have that but ignore it in favor for those other wack multiplayer modes…
Haha it's funny how people discover me across both my channels now and then end up finding the other one too. I've been running my gaming channel for over 10 years, way before I started my reaction channel with AoT ;D
I do think there's room to remake 5 and 6 but actually change them. Don't worry about including everything. Rebuild them from scratch to be more like recent RE games. It would be so cool to look forward to a new game with Wesker as the villain again

Agreed, but I'd prefer if they remade Code Veronica, 1 & Zero first. Leave 5&6 for "next generation"

It's like CV is a girlfriend Capcom don't talk about, yet it's loved by Hard-core RE fans. I agree it absolutely should be next on the list.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing re5 and 6 redone to be more horror focused
But I would also like to see more old characters reprising their roles outside of animated films
RE7 is my favorite entry in the series. It got me back to horror games
Whoa, if you've never played RE4 you're in for a treat! it's the 1st RE game I ever played back in the day. It's the only game I've ever played through about 6 times in a row.

They could remake RE1 in first person with VR in mind, that would be the ultimate game for a modern remake.
They can pick up the story with Chris cleaning up BSAA mess
I just hope they don't lean too much into action/shooter, with the majority of enemies being Chris clones using firearms
Usually RE games are best when the majority of enemies use melee or very slow ranged weapons, otherwise I can turn into mindless cover shooter
Isn't ethan's daughter an agent? I you'll be playing as her

I wish they would remade RE3 Remake, like a Director's cut or something... Nemesis could have been much more
As an old school resident evil fan this video made me face palm so freaking hard.
Code Veronica remake. Finish Resident Evil 3 with DLC.
The way Leon moves in the game also feels really good, like he's grounded to the world and not floating around

Anyways, the biggest problem for me with fixed camera angles is the damage they do to the immersion. I want to feel like being the person who I control. Uh no
Not sure Capcom wants to pay royalties to SD Perry. Another game with Rebecca would be nice though.
Agree 100%
Excited for RE4R, but how much longer are we going to have to wait for Dino Crises Remake?
I think after re4 remake they should look into remaking cvx then just stop remakes all together and focus on the main games and some new side installments like the revelations series. Bringing back some older characters in those like Rebecca, Carlos etc.
imagine going back to play the older games and only playing 5 and 6 😆
RE Code Veronica needs a remake too.
I can't imagine any game in the series without it
Resident Evil 9 PS5/XSX/PC ONLY
Never played RE4??? Wow 👀 🤯
next:
RE1RE-REMAKE
RE5REMAKE
RE6REMAKE (PLEASE DEAR GOD)
RE7 3RD PERSON PATCH
Lord have mercy plz give us give us Dino Crisis back plz sweet baby Jesus
I’ve been thinking about this as well, just where is the franchise going after re4 remake?
Isn't the point of a remake to update/improve? So remaking Code Veronica would make MORE sense than any other Resident Evil game.
I say they make an RE9. But if we’re talking remakes then code Veronica, RE1, or RE5 would make me happy.
We need Outbreak remakes.
Capcom should add dmc3 into remake lines they are going thru
I want a remake of umbrella corp
Yo Robin I really hope you answe i need advise what is your opinion on the last of us 2 without any spoilers ? i already know what hapens to Joel i bought the game but heard that it has negativr comments so I am relcutant weather to start playing it or return it Pls answer
Skipping 4 in favor of 5 and 6 seems likethe wrong move , honestly TF 😂😂
I stopped the video, went through a few comments and left. There's absolutely nothing to learn here from his "insight".
Love hearing your take. I’m here for future content!
I loved 5 & 6. I'm not a fan of the first person player perspective in the new ones. I want more Jill, Chris, Ada, and Leon in future installments!
They should make re3r the director's cut then make a recv remake and then re9 and keep all of them very survival horror with just enough action and i think that would be awesome and they can't make these remakes linear when the originals really weren't
The remake I really want is one of code veronica.
They said they're not going to do code Veronica but I think it's a slap in the face to fans. I need to do the code Veronica remake.
If they do a remake for a less than stellar game like code Veronica, I think it would be a pretty easy task for them. OR they could remake Dino crisis, that would be pretty hype.
Code Veronica was good, and resident evil 4 is way overrated.
Resi cover!!!!!! Well done 👌🏼👍🏼
I really want a code Veronica remake
i wish capcom would focus on their toy line, the toys for these games are super expensive but they were dope. the RE4 toys are some of the ones i never got a chance to buy.
Code veronica NEEDS IT and it’s the real resident evil 3 story wise
Capcom needs to start paying attention to the Dino Crisis IP after this.
I'm been playing RE7 in VR bit by bit for quite a while now, determined to finish it in VR haha
And DLC for Re3
Re3 remake wasn’t as consistent but I get what you mean
I highly doubt they remake 6, but if they do they can change it completely
I just wish we could get a genuine survival horror game within the city while it's overrun with the T-Virus without it devolving into an action game with cars flying everywhere and explosions and Fast and the Furious levels of dumb over the top action, not confined to a single building but exploring the city proper and seeing the sheer chaos of the initial hours of the outbreak too
So re3 remake but good
@@billyboleson2830 yes basically. Imagine the atmosphere of the intro of RE2 but instead of a cutscene when you leave the gas station you literally keep driving and have to navigate Raccoon City and can go anywhere, but depending on what you do you may not have the option of escaping the nuke or even learning about it in-game
Lol you went back and played Reggie was five and six did you play any of the originals? Or you know the one with the tank controls
I want a resident evil 0 remake or code veronica with the engine from re2 remake
i would love to see a remake of all the games that don't have the over the shoulder camera
I would LOVE for them to remake Resident Evil 5. One of the best games in the series!
yes ima be so upset it they stop after the re4 remake cuz re5 is such a good game
Resident Evil Outbreak would be a dream and has limitless potential
I found you from your AOT videos. I didn’t know that you were a gamer as well lol.
Haha it's funny how people discover me across both my channels now and then end up finding the other one too. I've been running my gaming channel for over 10 years, way before I started my reaction channel with AoT ;D
