405 was there, I think it's mental. Also, for maxes, I wouldn't be stepping up so many times. I would've skipped the 390 and went from 375 to 405. Too many attempts will put too much fatigue in those muscles before the max attempt. Just warm up more at the lower weights and step up more aggressively.
He has a very flexible rack and those Jordans are fairly flat, so it works for him. He’s a fairly advanced lifter so he’s got to know about lifting shoes and maybe wants to train in the same shoes he plays in. I’d love to hear him address it.
@@mihailonjegos In my experience I lift less with lifting shoes. The elevated heel puts you in a less advantageous position by shifting the load from your hips to knees which are weaker. if you have the adequate mobility to squat full depth no need to use them. Elevated heels I find are mostly for weightlifting and the clean/snatch, they help you with your positions in the pull and staying over the bar depending on your anatomy but there are elite lifters who don't use them at all and use flats or go barefoot. And even in CJ/S the first pull can be harder with elevated heels as well but they definitely help in the second pull. Most elite weightlifters are more than strong enough to offset the difference from the first pull.
@@mihailonjegos The problem with basketball shoes is that they restrict your ankle mobility, especially when you squat down. You can see that I.R. has to raise his heels up.
@@musclelessfitness2045he used to wear lifting shoes a couple yeats ago, i think hes said that his heels still come up even with lifting shoes so he just wears jordans instead.
The fact you went for 405 on front squat is CRAZY! I’m trying to work on my front squats now after watching you guys. Biggest problem is loading the weight without it hurt the top of my chest. Might be my hand placement 🤔
The moment u hit 500 u gonna have a 60 inch vert watch im calling it
it would most likely take more than 500lbs
Naw he did hit 500 he would prolly have 54 maybe 55 but that's pushing it.

Yeah that was a lot of big singles. He definitely has it if he wasn’t as fatigued.
Good work !!
Heavy lifting with Basketball shoes is kinda wild though :P

I agree about the shoes, there’s a reason every lifter wears them every time

Beautiful 390 front squat
How much time are you spending between sets?
why your right feet move ?
Mind bogglingly early
you should do a belt for 390 and 405 for more stability in your spine and core, legs got 405
