There may be poetic justice in the offing. Because of the hugely public nature of all this many viewers are going to wonder exactly what is going on at NBC. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of clowns at that 3-ring circus.

This is exactly my reaction. I'd call Chuck Todd into my office, fire him, and have security escort him to his desk then out. You are free to say as you wish on air, but if it looks like defaming without proof and done super-publicly, buh-bye! Anyone else guilty of this, same treatment.
Thing is, the partisanship goes up chain, otherwise no one would have felt courageous enough to do what they did.. that means Comcast will have to drive the change in a much more brutal and direct way. If the half-ass it, all they are doing is guaranteeing a viewership decrease as citizens discover the real rot at NBC (which interested and informed observers have known for a while now).
She may be “sweet” but she didn’t do her job at the RNC, regardless of President Trump. Okay?! I support her suing.

As a starting point, E Jean Carroll was awarded 83 million dollars for her BS defamation case but what happened to McDaniel is way worse. Make them pay through the nose.

And we have all seen the footage of E Jean Carroll with her pets names, her place she lives and all the nutty things she did, her interview on CNN with Anderson, and her interview with MSDNC... Judging from the fact that the RNC just raked in $66 MILLION , I think that it's pretty damn apparent that Ronna WAS INDEED the problem at the RNC .

If you stop to think a little deeper, you'll realize it is way worse than you are assuming.
The reason all the clowns that defamed her on air did it is because the absolutely knew they wouldn't be punished for such actions. That means their bosses both KNEW and APPROVED of their actions. Such public courage doesn't happen on its own, especially from as many people that defamed Ronna.
Cleaning house there means firing management and those that won't tow the line as reporters/personalities. The silver lining here is that NBC is completely outed as a radical leftist organization (as if this wasn't already infinitely apparent by their hiring of Jen Psaki). I'm sure some viewers lean politically that way, but I'll be this is a revelation to many viewers. My best guess here is that NBC's ratings will severely tank in the next cycle and stay there. I'm salivating just thinking about it!

I love Glenn too, but he did something rare, he totally screwed up an incredibly important story, the Havana Syndrome weapon, where it came from, what it does, why the reason why it’s being covered up so strongly, and why the media is avoiding it.

I think they hired her on to let the talent trash her, just like they want a race war, but don't have the guts to get their own hands dirty, so they brought her on to trash her, not learn what went on from her. When I heard MSNBC had hired Ronna as a Contributor I thought, 'Well, good for them, they're trying to get a more balanced perspective in politics...maybe they'll gain some viewers.' After that fiasco, I don't know if they'll ever have a chance at gaining viewers that lean even close to the right.
I suspect a LOT of centrists are going to fall away after this. The jig is up at NBC, and a self-inflicted wound all the way. If I'd been working as a boss there I'd have forbid such things on these grounds: "we want to keep our jobs".

What happens to free speech?
It is alive and well. The 1st amendment is about preventing government from interfering with the speech of citizens. It doesn't take any position on disagreements between citizens (rightly so).
If you are concerned about free speech, then you should worry whenever the government wants to have to power to identify 'misinformation'. That right there is a direct threat to free speech, full stop. The government should never be an arbiter for truth. The arbiters of truth in our system are the citizens ALONE. That is why the 1st amendment is #1. It is THE most important amendment in the constitution.. and the basis of a free society.
