We love you 🇳🇬 sister from Kenya 🥂
I’m impressed of the advancements of Nigeria 🇳🇬 for I’m from California USA 🇺🇸 I would definitely purchase land Epe for sure I love nature.
Cutting down a rainforest to build single-family homes is not advancement.
@@WillieFungo so what's your point?
@@ghanacommercialbank6390 his point is, with the population we have in Nigeria, apartments should actually be the main focus. The population is way too much to just be building single homes.
@@esthernnenna5728 Building is the way out my dear, we Africans complain a lot especially you Nigerians, you guys need to stay back and build that country cuz we Ghanians are supportive to our government and we don't trash their efforts.
@@ghanacommercialbank6390 rainforest and greenery is so important. It's how we breath
The overpopulation in Lagos is overwhelming. I believe other states need urbanization to fix this problem. There is no need to cut down the trees in Epe to build a city when you can already build one in places like Ogun and Ondo state where good beaches and waterfront properties are available so it would attract a lot of investments.
More like a luxurious rich peoples’ suburban neighborhood than a city is what the planned project looks like.
Epe is the place to be if you want to connect with nature in Lagos.. Just hoping this beautiful town doesn’t get overpopulated like other parts of Lagos.
That’s my fear bro. They will soon cut down all that lush greenery in Epe and replace it with all manner of concrete jungle estates, in a misguided notion of “development”. And of course the locals will be more than glad to sell their natural birthright for Naira!
I shudder to think of how much more polluted our environment will become once they cut down more trees!!
@@therealist2866 the locals are already selling their birth right, just wish enough trees will be available even if development is taking place there but our people will destroy everything to build different estates.
@@therealist2866 This particular isimi Lagos i believe will keep to the greenery, as its's incorperated with each building already stated design concept.
Exactly. I love Epe. I don't want to see all the trees being cut down for the sake of "development".
Connecting west africa shouldn't just be about highways...if we can utilize both inner and outer waterways lasan...trade ma gbera🚀🚀🚀
Ehnnn but at least we've started frm highway na. After decades of our elders sell out ñ greed .this Generation is moving to Hogher heights. All we need now is One House one Voice.Organised Unity 🤝 Will Help Africa to move Faster ñ Greater before the Chinese take us over✌️
I'm from Benue, live in the US for 3 decades. Micro grids are the way to go. Everyone in California is talking about off-grid, in Nigeria, we're talking about getting onto the grid. Please, let's take advantage of our underdevelopment and jump ahead of the West by using micro waste water and electrical grids. My humble opinion. Another great video my brother, thank you
Government Policies??????.... Seems its being long you left the Country
Isn't that crazy? The West is grappling with what they'd have to do with their grid once the off-grid 2050 agenda is achieved. Nigeria could take the advantage for real and got ahead or even in the game. Such a shame leadership has ZERO vision.
@@oladapokomolafe1695 Yes, I've been away, but I have a small business in Benue that's creating jobs. I'm doing everything I can to bring home the skills and technology I've gained from California. We can get past the government's lack of vision, but it's very hard. I've been investing for 15 years in Benue and finally starting to see some return
Hi! I’m from Benue would also . Would like to connect with you. If you don’t mind

#BabyBrodaah Wode you are welcome to Nigeria :-)
I went to a location in lekki of ogombo and I saw some developers sand filling a huge water ways.. practically disrupting the eco system of that area.. is it that Lagos state government just don't care? I live in surulere and my area was like ikoyi with all the trees till people from the state department came with bogus reasons and cut them down in the early 90s now the area is freaking hot yet ikoyi is cool because they still have their trees.. some people replanted and it was cut down as well as recent as last year.. look.. I'm all for mega cities and what not but not to the detriment of the environment.
I love this but the problem we have in Nigeria is that only Lagos,Abuja,Port Harcout are being developed and other states are being left out.We should develop as a country and not one individual state but this place is nice sha
Ibadan and Abeokuta are taking advantage of the new train station. Many communities are springing up. I was dazed last week when I saw some of the developments online. As the train project moves to the next Phase, trust me other states will key into the same vision.
This is a PRIVATE sector project, so there’s no reason why it cannot be replicated in other states - if the environment for investment is conducive. Instead, in most of those states, they will say you’re not an indigene (or even from a different local government area) and either deny you land or plague your investment with “community militancy” (even Lagos has omo onile issues to some extent).
@Ike Naija 😕😂😁
I guess u don't know Nigeria well. How will you say that lagos Abuja and ph are only places that is been developed. Omo go around
Lagos no develop oh. Check other african countries capital
Building around nature is the way to go, more oxygen, less carbon!!
Too much oxygen can be dangerous oo 🤣🤣
@@georgemusey708 To much carbon cell in your brains cells. To think like that 🤨. You got to be trolling.

I used only about 30% of my land for building, 30% of garden and trees, then the remaining for drive path and walkway. I like freedom ☺️.
As always a very informative video from one of my fav youtubers , keep up the good work

Lagos likewise other cities in whole Africa are changing(it’s ongoing process). Everyone should live in a pleasant environment. Anyway, the subtitles are a good thing for those(like me)who aren’t English speaking as native speakers(like you). I understand you well. I self try to speak English as much as I can(in the end). When I am in Asia the people can’t understand me entirely(cause many Europeans try to speak in English using that typical accent for Europe and mixed grammar as well). We’re the people. So we try to get connected with each other. Best regards.
Thanks for watching!

Nice one Tayo for this great content, definitely sharing the info with hubby asap, we need to get into this too🤝🤝🤝👍👍
great potential 👍
I love what she said “ you can get out of Lagos in Lagos”
Exactly!
I remember a place like this in Lagos back in the day. It's called Grailand in the iju area. I think it's a religious private estate built around nature.
@@mickyarams Grailand is still there in Iju.
Isimi…. Yeah have heard about the place….. the place looks promising ✨🌹🎄💐 anticipating
I love how the video presents viable solutions that address traffic congestion, pollution, quality of living, land use, conservation etc. Sustainable cities like this can take many positive directions. This is good stuff💯💯

Ah Helen you are here as well!! Hope you are alright, haven't seen a video from you in a while...How is Ebonyi state?
as an afro-brazilian, i can relate more to nigerians than to ours hispanic neighrbours in south america.
There is an area on Lagos Island I believe known as 'The Brazilian Quarter' where people who were previously enslaved in Brazil resettled when they returned to Africa. I think Tayọ touched on that briefly in this video. 👍🏿
@@sunnyo3576 Nigeria is a holy place for every black person outside africa, I love this country.

i really think this is the place to invest around Lagos !
If i was an investor i would definitively put all my coins there
thanks so much for the work you put inside here
Olawale ayilare who he interviewed from landwey is the one developing this city 🔥🔥🔥
Another great content. Africa is the future. We have an opportunity to build it the right way. We are nature people. I don’t understand why our people don’t like nature. Stay blessed my brother 🙏🏿
Brilliant idea! Looking forward to more content.
God please let Epe not be over 8 million people in it 😭😭 because Lagos is going to be a lot more populated
Food for thought: have you considered the following: parks full of plants and trees, mini parks, churches and cemeteries. A lot of parks are necessary, because Nigerian weather is very hot.
Its a great idea to ease congestion in Capital Cities. In Zimbabwe they leaning towards new smart Cities too and that is to help ease congestion on the Capital. The current Capital has traffic challenges, although not as bad as other parts of the continent,so they want to prevent further Urbanization in the Capital and invest in fresh sustainable cities outside.Solar Power has become the New black as we will no longer worry about power outages anymore.
❤️❤️ from 🇬🇭🇬🇭, top class bro. you are on course

Great video Tayo. Please consider using more relatable filler clips, preferably with African characters. Well-done.
Thanks for the informative video. I think building bridges across to Epe might still be one of the cheapest options, compared to building in-roads under the water, as we have here in some parts of Europe.

I understand that disorganized urbanization led Lagos to live with constant traffic jams, but wouldn't it be more practical to divide the entire metropolis into zones and thus implement master plans to implement "sustainable neighborhoods" within the metropolis itself?
I also Love Nature.🌴🍃.... wow a Wellness City I Love that so much.💚
Interesting how land is way cheaper in Nigeria as compared to Ghana. These lands being sold there would have been 3 times the price being offered here in Ghana. Good job guys, keep it up 👍🏽
I really hope that all the vision of this city is realised without any negative compromise on the people because it all sounds ahmazzziiiinnngggg
Here for this. My fellow lagos UA-camr. ❤️
Something I have been trying to wrap my head around is why these "new developments" seem to be more about land grabs. I ask because the way it should work is the developers of the city build to suit their vision then sell those properties (like some are doing on a smaller scale in Lekki). What is going on in Epe is nothing like that. Essentially what we have is land speculation which is a big reason why properties are overpriced.
O. Really ??.,would u be kind enough to break it down in lay man terms pls
Based on what I know about how property development in Lagos, I ain't believing a thing until it's built up. People just buy land and put fence around it, give it one fancy name, sand-fill some parts as road network, no drainage system or any other infrastructure. And they sell the lands at exorbitant price. I just returned from Lagos and am not impressed at all. I was even at Epe and seems it's the area developers are flooding to now.
That means you only visited your local government in Lagos not the entire Lagos
that's fire!, i love the idea of this city. good content as always T!
If this new city is built, Lagos will lead the world in green living. 😷🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I saw the title of the video, only to spend over two minutes in and find out that that THIS WATERFRONT CITY that COULD CHANGE LAGOS NIGERIA is way I've been located for close to a decade. Honestly, right from my second year in Epe, I've began to see deep prospect in the city and I'm glad that I don't see it alone.
