BYD told me they don't support frunks for atto 3 because the battery is there and they don't want anything in that space that may increase temperature such as aftermarket frunk which will cramp the open space
Hi Lan, your VDOs are always amazing and give a lot of information. Can I ask a question? To install this Frunk will impact on the car warranty? Thanks.
Hi Ian Off topic, but I can't see how to contact you directly. 2 things: 1) I had posted earlier on that I could not work out the logic of the roof shade. Now I have: assuming you park the car with the shade open, if you leave the car in a covered place it will remain open; if you leave it in a sunlit place, it will close. Makes sense. 2) Is there a way of knowing when the disc brakes come on? Probably not as a user, but maybe from the plug-in diagnostic tool you have? It would be interesting to know how hard you need to brake for them to come on, for example. A video opportunity charting deceleration (negative g's) against disc brake engagement. It would help drive more efficiently, e.g. brake gently recover (say; using any numbers to illustrate the point) 80% energy, brake hard only 50% .
Hi. Thanks for your videos. Given this is a modification, will this affect insurance if you are involved in a front end collision?

There will be no warranty issues. You will need to remove when you take it in for a service. Cheers
