Hello Lovely!
Thanks for stopping by as I clean out my NASTY Laundry room. Not to perfection, but i got some progress. There are so many rooms in my house that need an overhaul. But I've been overwhelmed and haven't wanted to tackle anything. Working on this room and seeing the progress in my laundry room is giving me motivation and momentum to keep working on the rest of my overwhelming home!

I got 4 of these fold up fabric bins from IKEA (as its local) for £2 each in the sale - Grey, white, navy and black. They have cardboard in so they don't fold up. The colours are easy enough for Benjamin and daddy to decide where their clothes should go. Ben has grey for school uniform (trousers, sweatshirt, socks, underwear) blue for all his other clothes during the week and pj's etc. daddy has a different colour for his stuff (kept in the bedroom) we all share the white. That way when a bin/full wash is finished, I can put it back easier in one go. The bins fold up and aren't too heavy. They fold upto nothing flat when not in use. Bedding and my clothes go direct into the washer. Could be an idea for the boys to sort their own clothes into 2 colour bins. You've done an awesome job. These things give us such a sigh of relief when they are done. You're always so inspiring, doing so much stuff. I feel guilty sitting down and watching you 😂. Best wishes x
It's incredible how fast the time flies... it doesn't feel like a whole year has passed since the babe as born!
That was a great idea to clean and improve the function of a space that you use every day... the doom room can wait just a little while longer. 😉
I know! He’s so big!!!
And yes the doom room will take a while and I’m not excited, but Ill get to it :)
I'm happy you are able to reclaim some of your spaces! Letting the spools go and sprucing up your living room is great. 🎉🎉🎉
Me too!!
You did a great job. Getting rid of and getting new furniture can also be super motivating!
Yes! Thank you!
your baby is 1 already!!! you just had it! LOL time flies!
Seriously though!!!
Wow, you made some great improvements in those 2 rooms. I can’t believe your baby has turned one already! ❤
It’s been a crazy year!
Thanks!!! It makes me very happy to see improvement, even if it’s not huge :)
Great job! the hardest part is always getting started.
It really is!
Seeing visible improvement helps for sure. Congrats on selling spool tables!
Thanks so much Sally! ♥️♥️♥️
Great video as always , it's so satisfying.
you could maybe use them in kids rooms if you dont like it for laundry. and and hourd room just start setting a 10 minute timer, like every other day. dont tackle all at once. and put outdoors spools out in front with free sign.
I am planning to do a slow declutter on the hoarding room (aka the office) haha, one day it’ll be back to its former glory! :)
Great job!!!
Thanks Paige! Feels much better!
Lindsay I love how you do a project not trying to be perfect but to get your spaces so that they are workable for you! Great job…
So awesome you were able to sell the spool tables I know you have mentioned before you wanted to sell them, staging them was perfect.. Girl you are getting things done!!! 🌟💫🤩
Wow 😮 and just like that Joel is ONE hard to believe!!
Thanks so much! 😊
Great job. 😊
Thanks! 😊
Great job ❤
Thanks Jacquelyn! ♥️🥰♥️
Good morning Lindsay!! 💐
So excited to watch! ❤
Watching yours first, then Kim's. 😉
You did amazing!! The laundry room looks great! I have a smaller laundry room than yours, and last year I finally I made my husband help me change it a little. It took a little while to get used to it, but I'm so happy how it turned out. Is it perfect, no. But feels more functional. So proud of you for being ready to let go of those beautiful spool tables. I had a similar dilemma, a few years after I got married, with some furniture of my grandparents. Its hard to let go, but really didn't fit with our space. You made me laugh when you pointed to the top of the piano and when you closed the office door. I have the same feeling everywhere I look in my house. I tackle some of it. However, the really big sections, making all those decisions feels daunting. I get paralyzed just thinking about starting. But we'll get to it when we can, right?
Absolutely! We need to take little bites, cant eat a whole elephant in one sitting. That would be painful! :)
Im getting to a place where I actually want to go in there and start decluttering ♥️ so it’ll be better soon! :)
I’m so glad you were able to make your laundry room more functional! That’s so nice! And perfect is overrated anyway 😜
❤
Hey Lindsay!
Great job on the laundry and piano room!
I was going to mention I put 12inch square sticky tiles down on the floor of my laundry room in the basement, but then you mentioned the sump pump over flowed? Not sure if that happens often?
It was fun and easy to put the tiles down. And it looks so good afterwards.
I like the new clothing hampers you purchased. I hope they work out for you.
Also, curious how the holes got in the ceiling of the piano room? 😊
I did those tiles in my bathroom and really like them :)
I might do that in the future, after getting the house manageable again :)
The ceiling holes are just a diy fun times that happened, Devin was looking for the plumbing, ended up not even needing to do that, but ya know. Did it anyway :) haha 🤣 I see some puttying in my future :)
@@Lindsay_Lexus Lol, I love your attitude about the holes! Cracked me up! It sounds like that could be a great future DIY video! ☺️
