A tip from Cas from Clutterbug. She also loves thrifting, so she made a rule for herself that she has to also bring in some items to donate, which helps make space for the new items. Works especially well with kids clothes.
Give yourself grace, Lyndsey. Going from one to two children is huge. Hopefully having the boys in seperate room help with more sleep for everyone. As you say getting started is the best step to make and you have done that. Also, the hope of Spring is only two months away.

The toy, I for baby, I think goes lihe on a tray high chair or a counter or smooth table for him to play with . Great haul! You are doing awesome!
Don't hold on to the extra boxes (that you put in the closet), you have enough of them coming in with new diapers. Just let them go - so much more calmness in your mind as you know your closet is way cleaner.

You are doing great Lyndsey. Your boys are thriving and happy. Can I suggest that you get rid of the empty boxes. Just ridding them from your home will cut down on a ton of clutter. Dresses look so cute on you.

For arms, a salicylic toner applied every day or so makes a big difference. And/or gently gently scrubbing arms with wet sugar in the shower.

You do very well thrifting and you look great in the dresses!!
It’s hard to declutter kids’ stuff because you’ve spent money on it, but I’ve learned to look at it as a river. Kids stuff is always flowing in through hand me downs and gifts. We can’t be a dam for the stuff or we’ll drown in the clutter. We have to let it flow out of our house as they outgrow it so that new stuff can flow in. Luckily, the flow slows as they get older and don’t grow as fast.

Two kids is so overwhelming! You are doing so great. I have two kids, 6 and 4 and I finally feel like a postpartum fog has lifted. This is a phase and prioritizing love for your kids is always the best choice. ❤

Hi Lindsay. As a retired organizer I would like to make a few suggestions. Please don’t be offended, it’s certainly not my intent. I have been here a long time and today is the first time I have seen you truly stressed.
You obviously are a visual person so I would suggest getting rid of the diaper boxes and replace them with opaque bins. The busyness of the printed boxes are stress inducers for you. (Gradually switch them, they are costly).
Use a large hamper for a drop zone in that room and when it’s filled go through it.
And my final tip ❤; whatever you bring in remove the same amount from your home. It doesn’t have to be the same as you bought.
I know there are a lot of organizers on UA-cam, and it’s good to mimic their ideas but Lindsay, you have to find your own.
I hope you at least think about what I suggested💕.

Good ideas. I’ve used fabric to cover diaper boxes that I use for storage in my closets and that has helped with the visual clutter of the box labels. Obviously, that’s only cost effective if you already have the fabric and need a use for it, otherwise it’s probably cheaper to buy bins than fabric. I usually use my diaper boxes for my declutter and donations. They’re a perfect size for the top of my hall closet and I toss things in there as I clean and go about my days. When it’s full, I drop it at the donation place.
@@yahyeet4383 I have used wallpaper from the thrift shop,strong but cheap,usually fifty cents for a double roll,new in plastic.( because who else is ever going to want a random roll of wallpaper?)

I so so wish we lived close to each other. I think we'd have a lot in common and be good friends. I think Ben and D would be great friends and play well together. Also, everyone we know has girls. Literally everyone. There is nobody I can pass Ben's clothes, shoes and toys on to that can use them. Toys are unisex I guess, but with clothes, it would be so nice to pass something across to someone we knew, if it had only been used once etc. You've inspired me to take a look through Ben's clothes and I've found a handful of things that are brand new that have been given to us, but Ben just won't wear them for some reason. He just says "no thank you" and takes them off 😂. Awesome job thrifting. I love the grey dress you bought. The light in the bedroom just makes the bedroom look so big and inviting. Best wishes xx

Wow...we haven't and won't be seeing your boys..but when you held up the thrifted clothes...I couldn't believe how much the boys must have grown. Loved watching your big guy's shenanigans..

I love the green dress as well. The colour really suits you. I was thinking, you are so right about cleaning etc coming second and the kids coming first. You only need to look at their baby photos and it makes you think... It seems like only yesterday and I can't do that, or go back to that moment again - such as when they are just starting to do some thing new or discovering the park etc. None of the rest will matter. Can't believe D is in a size 10😮 Benjamin is only a 8.5 and he's 4
