I’m from the U.K. Dimash is on stage for three hours, singing pop, opera, folk, rock, ballads, even some rap, plays instruments, chats to the audience, dances, etc. sings in 14 languages, speaks Kazakh, Russian, pretty good in English now and some mandarin. He acts, directs, composes, models, but is humbke, respectful, generous, patriotic, family loving, endless,y patient with his fans, called dears, And does a lot of humanitarian work.

Dimash is unique, it's not without good reason that he's known as the best voice in the world. Probably the greatest vocalist in living memory. It's not just the range or the vocal control either, it's the fact that he can effortlessly switch genres, quite often in a single song. It's not often that you find someone who can sing anything from Opera to Rap and do it flawlessly. This weekend he's debuting a new collaboration with a Turkish DJ at his concert in Antalya. I can't wait to see what that's going to be like.
What I like from Dimash reaction is you think he hit the note high enough and then he goes higher and higher until you can't imagine how high it's. And your jaw dropped to the floor.
You still don't know what a voice can do! This performance is just a drop in the ocean. Dimash can do much, much more with his voice than he does here, both in terms of his range (e.g. his whistle tone extends two octaves higher and his subharmonics go much lower) and in terms of dynamics, colours and textures.. He is constantly reinventing himself and so no two songs are alike, or even in anything like the same genres - he does pop, theatre/musical, jazz, and opera, often in the same performance - and he sings not just in the Western tradition but in the Eastern tradition too: e.g. he has sung an incredible duet with the superb classical Chinese singer Li Yugang and performed amazing Kazakh and Armenian traditional songs. He is extremely respectful of other cultues and to date has performed in about 14 different languages. The best way to explore him, I think, is to begin more or less at the beginning, with some (not all) of his performances at the 2017 "Singer" competition on Chinese TV - in particular Opera 2 (Russian), Adagio (English) and Autumn Strong (Chinese). SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! SOS is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. The lights in the back denoting all emotional stages, the wings and final moments before departing to heaven. Dimash is a world class artist from Kazakhstan, turned 28 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He started his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. Tip of the iceberg. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English quickly becoming a third language. However, he sings in a host of languages, Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, English, Mandarin, Italian, and how has added Spanish, Armenian and Turkish. I am sure I left something out. You have no idea what he can do. You haven't seen anything yet. Try Stranger. It is in English.
Thank you for finally reacting to Dimash. I know that you will soon be bombarded with suggestions, and whatever you decide to listen to next will not disappoint. I think it may interest you to begin at the beginning of his career outside of the Slavic states with his appearance on the Chinese singing competition show "The Dinger 2017", where he was first noticed outside of the Slavic states. It was a singing competition for professional Chinese singers only, but, Dimash was invited as a "dark horse", and was the youngest, at 22 yrs., and the first foreigner in the history of the show. The others were 12-39 yrs. his senior. They did not expect him to go past the second round, but he finished second. I think only because they had to save face. He spoke no English or Mandarin, but his first four songs were sung in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, and had to be learned in one week. I watched the whole competition just to be fair in my judgment. The other singers were really good, but, in all honesty, Dimash was amazing. However, as I said, you will not be disappointed with any song you listen to next. It will be an amazing and heartfelt musical journey that will go straight to your heart and soul.
A friend of mine sent me a video of Dimash singing SOS in 2017 from the Chinese vocal competition THE SINGER about 4 years ago. Two weeks went by and I had not listened to it because I had heard so many singers that people said were great and I just thought ho hum, not to me. I thought I'd just reply back to her, nice without listening. Then I thought, no I need to be honest; so I'll just listen to the first 30 seconds or so so that I can send an honest reply. My jaw dropped, my eyes filled with tears when NO SINGER EVER EVER EVER!!! made me cry!!! And I could NOT believe what I was hearing and seeing. And it has been the same ever since.....involuntary tears, shock, awe and total bow down low respect to this being from TRULY ANOTHE WORLD, ANOTHER GALAXY far far away!!! You want suggestions? Prepare for an onslaught, lol! Everyone has their favorites (about 20 in my case). If you want to follow Dimash’s road to international stardom, I would start with the 2017 I Am a Singer competition in China. Dimash was invited as a wild card entry (the only non-Chinese performer). All the other competitors were well-known professional Chinese singers; Dimash was the only unknown at age 22. The producers thought he would only last a few episodes, but after the first show aired Dimash became an overnight sensation. He was the first performer for the first episode, and that performance of SOS catapulted him to fame in China. The show lasted four months, with 14 performances, and Dimash ended coming in second. The first place winner was Sandy Lam (Lin Yiliang) a beloved and very talented singer. I recommend all those performances, as well as his cover of Lionel Richie’s “Hello” the following year as a guest performer; it will blow your mind. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time. He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize your so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. You definitely are not going to like every song of him. Of course we Dears have our favorites and songs that we don’t love that much, but that’s what makes it so wonderful to be a Dimash fan. He has something for every taste. Yes, try Stranger for new wave 2021. Very dramatic and is in English, I’m in Turkey today so I can see Dimash in concert on Saturday. I’m from the U.K. Dimash is on stage for three hours, singing pop, opera, folk, rock, ballads, even some rap, plays instruments, chats to the audience, dances, etc. sings in 14 languages, speaks Kazakh, Russian, pretty good in English now and some mandarin. He acts, directs, composes, models, but is humbke, respectful, generous, patriotic, family loving, endless,y patient with his fans, called dears, And does a lot of humanitarian work.

Dimash has a vocal range of over 7 octaves, which is quite impressive; but that’s not what defines him. He sounds exquisite at any range, which is incredible in and of itself.
Besides, his voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. His voice is soaring only to express his intense emotions, whether it’s a cry for help (SOS), a yearning (Samaltau), or to express pain or loss (The Story of One Sky). Dimash, being a composer himself (“Unforgettable Day”- Ұмытылмас күн, The Story of One Sky, El Amor en Ti…), knows how the song he interprets must be delivered. Indeed, what I love about Dimash is that he does not use his vocal abilities to show off, but to serve the song: through his voice, he’s telling us a story.
In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist - It’s precisely thanks to his mastery that Dimash is able to freely dive, and tap, into his emotions; but he’s also a great storyteller. What I love about him as well is the way he immerses himself in the songs he sings.
Dimash is classically trained - he even declined a position as an opera singer when he was only 22, and has absolute pitch (a rare cognitive trait by the way) which was discovered when he was only 5 years old.

Dimash is unique, it's not without good reason that he's known as the best voice in the world. Probably the greatest vocalist in living memory.
It's not just the range or the vocal control either, it's the fact that he can effortlessly switch genres, quite often in a single song.
It's not often that you find someone who can sing anything from Opera to Rap and do it flawlessly. This weekend he's debuting a new collaboration with a Turkish DJ at his concert in Antalya. I can't wait to see what that's going to be like.

What I like from Dimash reaction is you think he hit the note high enough and then he goes higher and higher until you can't imagine how high it's.

This performance is just a drop in the ocean. Dimash can do much, much more with his voice than he does here, both in terms of his range (e.g. his whistle tone extends two octaves higher and his subharmonics go much lower) and in terms of dynamics, colours and textures..
He is constantly reinventing himself and so no two songs are alike, or even in anything like the same genres - he does pop, theatre/musical, jazz, and opera, often in the same performance - and he sings not just in the Western tradition but in the Eastern tradition too: e.g. he has sung an incredible duet with the superb classical Chinese singer Li Yugang and performed amazing Kazakh and Armenian traditional songs.
He is extremely respectful of other cultues and to date has performed in about 14 different languages.
The best way to explore him, I think, is to begin more or less at the beginning, with some (not all) of his performances at the 2017 "Singer" competition on Chinese TV - in particular Opera 2 (Russian), Adagio (English) and Autumn Strong (Chinese).

SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! SOS is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. The lights in the back denoting all emotional stages, the wings and final moments before departing to heaven.
Dimash is a world class artist from Kazakhstan, turned 28 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. Tip of the iceberg. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English quickly becoming a third language. However, he sings in a host of languages, Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, English, Mandarin, Italian, and how has added Spanish, Armenian and Turkish. I am sure I left something out. You have no idea what he can do. You haven't seen anything yet. Try Stranger. It is in English.

Thank you for finally reacting to Dimash. I know that you will soon be bombarded with suggestions, and whatever you decide to listen to next will not disappoint. I think it may interest you to begin at the beginning of his career outside of the Slavic states with his appearance on the Chinese singing competition show "The Dinger 2017", where he was first noticed outside of the Slavic states. It was a singing competition for professional Chinese singers only, but, Dimash was invited as a "dark horse", and was the youngest, at 22 yrs., and the first foreigner in the history of the show. The others were 12-39 yrs. his senior. They did not expect him to go past the second round, but he finished second. I think only because they had to save face. He spoke no English or Mandarin, but his first four songs were sung in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, and had to be learned in one week. I watched the whole competition just to be fair in my judgment. The other singers were really good, but, in all honesty, Dimash was amazing. However, as I said, you will not be disappointed with any song you listen to next. It will be an amazing and heartfelt musical journey that will go straight to your heart and soul.

A friend of mine sent me a video of Dimash singing SOS in 2017 from the Chinese vocal competition THE SINGER about 4 years ago. Two weeks went by and I had not listened to it because I had heard so many singers that people said were great and I just thought ho hum, not to me. I thought I'd just reply back to her, nice without listening. Then I thought, no I need to be honest; so I'll just listen to the first 30 seconds or so so that I can send an honest reply. My jaw dropped, my eyes filled with tears when NO SINGER EVER EVER EVER!!! made me cry!!! And I could NOT believe what I was hearing and seeing. And it has been the same ever since.....involuntary tears, shock, awe and total bow down low respect to this being from TRULY ANOTHE WORLD, ANOTHER GALAXY far far away!!! LIKED SUBSCRIBED AND BELLED JUST FOR DIMASH!!

Congratulation to finally discovering Dimash, arguably the best singer of our time. You have been Dimashified now. One reactor said about his voice: "NASA up in space gets interference when Dimash goes high."
There are two more canonical songs for Dimash beginners: Sinful Passion and Stranger. They show a bit more of Dimash's real vocal capabilities because SOS doesn't show all by far. You want suggestions? Prepare for an onslaught, lol! Everyone has their favorites (about 20 in my case). If you want to follow Dimash’s road to international stardom, I would start with the 2017 I Am a Singer competition in China. Dimash was invited as a wild card entry (the only non-Chinese performer). All the other competitors were well-known professional Chinese singers; Dimash was the only unknown at age 22. The producers thought he would only last a few episodes, but after the first show aired Dimash became an overnight sensation. He was the first performer for the first episode, and that performance of SOS catapulted him to fame in China. The show lasted four months, with 14 performances, and Dimash ended coming in second. The first place winner was Sandy Lam (Lin Yiliang) a beloved and very talented singer. I recommend all those performances, as well as his cover of Lionel Richie’s “Hello” the following year as a guest performer; it will blow your mind. From a Florida Dear (Dimash’s name for his fans, because we are dear to him).

Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time.
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize your so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. You definitely are not going to like every song of him. Of course we Dears have our favorites and songs that we don’t love that much, but that’s what makes it so wonderful to be a Dimash fan. He has something for every taste. And honestly, there were songs that I didn’t like that much at first and have now become my favorite songs after listening to them several times.
However, Stranger is not one of them. This song went straight to one of my top favorites.

The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.
