- Hi all 😊.....
All product links are further down 😊 ⬇️.
This is a video showing how it took me a couple of attempts to get the Butterfly effect. I will work on this more and make shorter videos but wanted to show how I tested different ideas until I was finally happy with the process I wanted. I will also be making a video on how to do this on larger scales, be sure to subscribe and hit that notification bell! If you try this and are also on UA-cam, be sure to tag me in your videos so I can check them out!
I hope you enjoy. Please share this video with your resin friends.

That was really interesting. I can't afford to do experiments with what little resin I can afford, but I love watching you and other resiners out there in UA-cam land who are pushing the boundaries of what can be created with this fascinating medium. Thank you for posting this brilliant video Dan! God bless you from a fellow brit.
You are my favorite resn artist because you keep it real and can show us the bloopers if needed
These are beautiful and a great idea. I've used black 28 gauge craft wire for the antennae. For the body, maybe make them ahead with epoxy or uv and add them right before putting in the wings
You can always use synthetic hair. I love the other side of the heart using your hair. Both sides look super cool. The gray flower bloom is soooo pretty as well.
Please subscribe if you haven't yet, some 57% of my viewers are to to hit that button 🥰. Also, feel free to share this amongst your resin friends 😊😊. Thanks for watching 😊😊
Ty4sharing truly tyfor not running loud music yourninstrustions are calming enuf for me icanwatchforhoursvthx for sharing your beautiful art with us all sir👍🫶
I really appreciate you taking us on your journeys of discovery. For me there are no mistakes, only lessons. Many thanks🤗
You are amazing!! With your guts and beauty you know how to please everyone. Thank you from the USA
Thanks Diane 😊
They look like orchids... so pretty
it's always a plan inside a mind set
I love this. I never thought of making butterflies like this. Thank you 😊
That last flat heart is really pretty
Thank you 😊 I must re-visit this idea again soon 😊
I’m new to resin but what I would try is making the body and antenna using UV resin, then placing it into the mold/resin and going from there with the wings. That’s what I’m going to do. 😊
Daniel, if you don’t have any viable hairs of your own left, use the dog’s or cat’s! I really do like this butterfly idea. NICE!
My sister loves butterflies, thanks for the Christmas idea. Love them
My mother loves them too.. I hope I can master this technique
Funny I always talk back to your videos especially giggling when you say sorry for your hand being in the way I giggle and say it's always in the way lol. But I love 😍love that you experiment, I swear when I get started I will be the same way trying to find new and exciting things to pull off
In those last two butterflies the black actually looked like an insect. Great video! Thank you!
TFS Daniel!
WoW beautiful. You have a lot of patience for those little details - bravo!!!!
Maybe try a silicone tool to add the white ?? And for the antennae use a really thin craft wire that can bend ? And the body maybe also drawing it in with the silicone tool,??
I really enjoyed watching all of the video.. thankyou for sharing your experiments...I liked the hair antenna..very cool😊
Adding hair would be perfect for memorial pieces ❤️
Definitely 🥰
beautiful! tie a knot in the bag before cutting off the excess, that will keep it from oozing up the bag instead of down.
I enjoyed your experiment it is interesting to watch how the process goes.
I love the hearts . Hi I am from Louisiana
Don’t worry about a blob here and there. I always say it homemade art!
WOW, Thankyou so much for your wonderful video's. As always your tutorials are very informative. I am new to this and absolutely love learning from you. I love the butterflies ..thankyou... Lynda in New zealand
I was hoping you would do a sort of backwards parentheses with the white for one of these.
Like )( that. I bet it would have a nice effect.
Love your work! I'm always inspired by your projects!
Hi Daniel. I actually attempted this when I started my 3D flowers. I actually drew the antennae with two small dots where I wanted them to be and drew them down with a toothpick to the head. Looking fabulous. Luved the tutorial. 😀
Great idea! I may try that next time, thank you 😊
Thank you for all your experimentation
I like them, there really pretty.
Don't forget the eyes on the wings
Always mix more than you need them you have more to experiment with 😉👌
These are ALL beautiful Mr. Cooper! 🦋
Thank you! Cheers! :)
I just watched 👀 for the second time and enjoyed listening to you figuring out what you want to do and how to make it happen. I learned a lot from you that way!😊
Awesome
Que precioso Daniel!!
He estado viendo sus tutoriales, son de mucha ayuda, muchas gracias por compartirlos.
Lo veo desde mi país El Salvador Centro América.
Feliz noche
Thank you :)
Love it.🌸
Thanks for teaching us!
I think the hair would be a good idea for memorial pieces, you could also use kitty whiskers, for pet memorials. Just a thought. Another great video! Ty!!
That is a really cool technique. I loved a lot of them. They definitely looked like bloom butterflies. Would for sure love to see you do this on a bigger scale. 💜😊💜🇺🇸
Thanks Joalla, I'm going with coaster next then a much larger attempt after that I think 😊😊
They're so prettya
Amazing work daniel
These are incredible!!!! Thanks for sharing. ❤
I love the way you just go for it! Very inspirational!
Wow!! So beautiful Daniel!
I'm been following your tutorials from El Salvador Central America.
Thank you :)
Hi Daniel … I’m new. I look forward to watching your magic.
Great experiment! Thanks for taking us along with you. ❤❤❤
Honestly, using your own hair strands was intriguing, very creative idea! Another enjoyable video.
Thank you! 😊
Awesome video. Congratulation ❤️
Love your stubbornness and never giving up 🍀❤️🥰
Thanks Petra, you know me well! 😂🤣❤
@@daniel..cooper I think I do (a little 🥰) ❤️ well done my dear friend ❤️
Merci Daniel, encore pour ces merveilles et j'adore tes expériences , c'est super ... tu fais des pépites , MERCI beaucoup pour le partage 🙏😘💖💖💖💖💖💖
🎉I
really enjoyed watching this video, and your experiment! I loved the butterfly 🦋 wings. Butterflies are my favorites. I t
thought that some of them were great. 😊
Love the butterfly challenge and look forward to giving it a try. Thank you Daniel, you are an excellent tutor.
❤❤❤
Beautiful as always Dan, so uniquely wonderful!
Thank you Perdi 😊
Wow! I think they are all very pretty!! I can't wait to start pouring. I'm finally in an apartment where I can pour resin, and I think these will be at the top of my list, just as soon as it is warm enough for me to open windows. You are so creative. I really appreciate all that you teach me. Thanks so much for all of the videos! Happy Pouring!!!!
Love this ! I actually like the transparent edges, however it could be coated with black resin on the back, Or maybe very fine glitter.?.?.?.?.???
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks Winter and thank you for joining my membership 😀
I love butterflies!
😊😊😊🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋
Brilliant Daniel well done, fab as always x
Thanks as always Anita 😊😊
I will definitely try this, thank you for the tutorial.
Very welcome Rebecca 😊😊
Nice tutorials. 😂 I was going to suggest paint brush bristles ♥️
😂 it took me a while, such an easier idea than hair! 😂🤣
Thanks for your video Daniel. I think considering all the variables, you did a good job. At the least, they're very pretty, and some definitely look like butterflies. The rounds ones are also pretty and impressive for what you're dealing with.
Ooooo luv the butterfly 🦋 effect
Thanks Mandi 😊
Love it!! Your accent and tatted arms are really cool too! 😃
Thank you for sharing your videos and techniques!! 💜
Thanks Dawn 😊😊😊
It's amazing the art you can create with a toothpick. You are so patient! Great work!
Thanks Yvonne, so sorry, I'm playing catch up, have been so busy.x
These are cute! I want to try it by making 4 circular or swirls with the white for each section of the wings. Thank you for sharing this technique❣️❣️
Thanks Rebecca, yes, that sounds good too, have fun playing around with it 😀
I love their wings, brilliant work 👏
I was going to suggest body on top....and you said it. Lol A coaster mold would give you more room
Great idea 💡 I like these butterflies 🦋🥰
I will try to make my own 🦋 😁
Yours became very nice 😍👍
Thank you 😊
hi daniel, your butterflies are really amazing 🦋 sometimes it is hard work to achieve what you want to achieve... but it is really worth 💖
Thanks Sandra, it's definitely worth the many attempts until it's how we want 🥰
Have you thought about using cotton Thread.? I enjoy watching you experiment and seeing the end product.
I wonder if you could make a UV resin body in the smallest amount of resin to start. I make all sorts of little pieces & parts with the UV for the alphabet letters molds. For water/ocean areas I put regular 2 part resin and add in drops of UV clear or white for the waves.. UV lights cure the UV parts right then.. and I let it sit several hours or overnight for the 2 part to catch up. Thanks for sharing Daniel. It’s always a pleasure to watch you create your art pieces 😊👌
Yes, I did think about UV after the 1st pour but wanted to try and do this in one sitting but UV would work great 😊😊
Hi Daniel! Such a beautiful effect. Mixing it up with the colours I think it’s called artistic license! ☺️👍
Thanks Sue 😊😊
You sound like a southerner?!? Great job 👏 thanks for showing it to us 🥰
Essex born 😊😊😊. Thank you 😊

Love it
Thank you 😊
@@daniel..cooper I’ll be giving it a try tonight! -Lyn
@@Lynifer09 yay! Have fun! 😊😊😊
Magnifiques expériences et super résultat .. Très interessant , merci beaucoup Daniel 🙏🙏 Le blanc dans ta poche à douille, est ce que c'est du mica plus résine ?? 💖💖💖💖
I think I’m going to try doing the wings first then cutting the body with my cricut, attaching and then clear coat on top
Sounds like a great idea 💡 😀
Cool affect but have you thought about maybe using black pigment paste for the body like in your other video , whereas you made the body first then the wings. Love all of your techniques and videos. Keep teaching us and we'll keep watching
💓
Not gross as such but a fantastic idea
Daniel, you are Amazing! Could the ones that are too transparent be coated with black or dark blue on the back? I love the transparency of these.. Thank You for sharing!
Of course, you could back them if you like 😊😊😊
I love this butterfly! I love using butterflies in my pieces. I watched your struggle with the body and I wonder if you could use clay to make the body and add it to inks at appropriate time. Also I love your idea for antennas! Brilliant, not gross.
Thanks Tracy 😊. Yes, clay could be used also 😊
I love your Butterflies, i have a Idea for the black Body. UV Nail polish. ,Paint it after cure and than Rasin on top. ♥️
UV is an option but I want to master this with just 2 part for now 😊
Ooh, very nice! This is such a neat effect. I wonder what it would look like with white alcohol ink instead of the pigment.
Thanks, I would imagine pretty much the same 😊😊
Well I don't have piping bags (yet) or pigment paste (yet) but I'm definitely going to try this!
Yay 😊 😊
This really was screaming UV for me! Since UV has to be done in quick drying layers, the butterfly body itself could be done in UV for quick dry layer. Interesting brainstorm! I wonder if using both Mica and Alcohol Ink in the same session would change the flow of things, too for the wings! Hmmm.
Yes, uv is a good option 😊😊😊
Love the tutorials. Many friends watching from Canada. Can you please add codes for Canadian Amazon.
I like the way you tilted the mold to get the resin to move to the other heart. That's something I would probably do. 🙂 How do you come up with these ideas? And then they turn out awesome.
be brave and just have a go. The more goes you have, (at anything) the more skill develops and confidence grows. Don't look for others' approval, yours is good enough. Warhol said ' whilst everyone is busy criticising your art, go out and create more". Happy pouring
How long does it take to dry?I am sure they take longer than it seems.
Nice video. Would snips of black thread work?
Yes, possibly, better than hair! 😂🤣
Do thecameras heat resin too?😮😢
I love how you’re always coming up with a unique technique! I don’t think using your hair is gross, I think it’s great you’re thinking outside the box.. or mold😆 There was an Artist at the Art Festival in our Capital a few years ago, he actually painted every painting with his own blood.. now that’s suffering for your art.😳 He was incredibly talented artist but, I’m not comfortable with blood (childhood trauma involving a very big German Shepherd and my leg being his chew toy) So, I’m probably not a good judge on that one. Great job creating a beautiful butterfly in a moving medium!
Thank you 😊
For some of my jewelry, I use clay Cusco beads that are hand painted with llama hairs from Peru. It's amazing what one can use!
@@mysticstarxxx8185 That’s true! Horse hair art brushes are great brushes too.
Amazing technique! What I can't quite figure out is how you get rid of all the microbubbles. I just can't get rid of them with Let's Resin 1:1.
I never have this issue but maybe warm part A 1st.
@@daniel..cooper thanks!
Where do you get the tubing for the white?
Thank You for posting this!
The piping bag? It's just a food grade one 😊😊
Corect sirantenae
Cant you draw them on?
Do you know if the old formula resin is in yet? If so, do you have the link for the US, please? I keep checking their Amazon store, but I don't see it, so I don't know if it is/will be listed as "old formula" or what. TIA. Happy Pouring!!!!
Thanks Jennifer, I will be posting during the week with the collab announcement 😊😊😊
Why do you use pigment paste instead of alcohol drops on this one? Thanks I’m new to resin.
Great question, this could be achieved with inks but the heat of the resin is key, it was a discovery using pastes which led onto this video 😊
The white... what is that? Sinking white alcohol ink or a pigment? Sorry i must have missed you saying it
Hi Daniel you said you used UV resin what was the make and what watt light do you use please ?
Lets Resin and a small 0.5w, same light I used in my moana video 😊
Whatstheperfect room temp tork in?
Your resin information will say, I like mine between 18-22°C 😊
