Game-Changing Effects! Deep Pour Resin Elevates Shallow Moulds
Warning: Important Health and Safety Notice:
Resin is an industrial chemical and as such should always be treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken. Here is a video I have made on how I keep myself safe: • Stop Making Yourself I... - Навчання та стиль
And the coaster? How did that turne out?
Ooh, the little lizard, that's awesome! That is a cute mold, and the effect is interesting.
The members group is just amazing 😊
Very cool results!!! 😊💕
What a fabulous technique! Brilliant makes Steve
As a kid, I realised a lot of old vehicles used to shed flakes of iron filings as they trundled about, so armed with a magnet & string.. I dragged it along the kerb outside the house, & collected SO much, I even sold or gave small jars of it to other kids. My dad also gave me old radios to pull apart.. so I had a heap of magnets too.
Ah, to keep a kid quiet on a Sunday afternoon. I knew others would eventually use them in creative things.
It's Sunday afternoon, and I'm just a 63 year old kid with some rare earth magnets. So guess what I'm going to be doing 😅 8:10
@@WhatsMarlyUpTo you go for it Midge! & I’d love to know how much you drag in, just a magnet on a piece of string. Dragging it long the gutter.. okay so others will think your looking for lost gold or your nuts. BUT WHAT THE HECK, if it’s there & it’s free, you can play with the iron filings forever. LoL
That was pretty cool! I haven't seen a lobster mold before. I love how the salamander came out!
It certainly is a great group, anything goes ❤
Love the iron filings, looks amazing 😊
Love the way you deliver your videos❤
Such a cute lizard….looks like he’s got bangs!! 😂
What an interesting concept. ❤ the effects. Both look amazing.
Gecko look like it’s got fur lol , cool idea
Wow that is awesome!! Thanks Steve!
That is the coolest effect I’ve ever seen!!
I love the one with the iron filings!
Love the Lobster!
so cool... but i was waiting to see how the coaster came out too
I was hoping you would have shown the coaster, too. Cool with the iron filings!
Neat concept with the iron filings--so cool!
Cool!
I love the things I have learned from you and I am soooo happy that you introduced me to jadiction resin. It is so awesome. Again thank you so much
This is absolutely Amazing -- love this technique ❤️
Absolutely love these
🎉Great experiment! You always seem to just have fun!😊
These came amazing, Steve! Great idea. 👏🏻😁👍🏻
Wow both gorgeous! Neat trick I’ll definitely have to try. Thanks Steve x
❤️ those!!
Very Cool!
These are amazing ❤ love the lizard so much ❤
I tend to use deep poor in shallow moulds too. can take longer to cure but I'm finding it better all the same. Nice project Steve
thats a cool ideal & effect
Oh wow, love the iron filings effect. Definitely going to try that. Thank you.
What a super fun project. THANKS
Love the lizard, got to try that
What a fun concept! Another thing to try!
Love it
Amazing. Love the color choices.
They look great ❤
Wow! Been watching you for very long time n yur very good at yur craft n yur personality n helping others..thanks
Love the iron filing idea. Results were great.
❤❤❤
Lovely effects xx
I made the lizard in pink, gold and green (3 lizards). I made 2 of them with u v resin and colored glitter and the green one with green glitter and green sand. Used glass rhinestones for eyes.
I often use left over deep resin in my smaller molds, never a problem but yours are amazing
Hi Steve, Thanks for sharing loved the way both turned out really super duper Steve, I thought it might be nice if you gave your lizard little black eyes 👀 ❤️👍
Love it and love the members group on fb. Can't wait to give this a go
Truly enjoy your videos!!
Awesome job!!
Loved the way the iron filings in the resin turned out. My order of filings has arrived and now I'm waiting on a lizard mould that is the same as the one you used in this video. I'm also planning on using the filings in some of the skull moulds that I have. I'm going to have a lot of fun! Big Squishy Hugs from a Big Squishy Grandma in Oregon, USA.
Both of these have turned out lovely! The iron filings gave such an interesting result. A shame about the coaster, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Thank you Steve 😊!!!
Interesting!
Really cool!
Check out "Pouring Your Heart Out". She uses a paper towel to blot excess resin (overpour). Seems to work very well. Love your art.
Wow! Who knew... magnets and iron! Tried to find your earlier video but I can't find the link in the description. Steve, I absolutely love your tutorials, you are like everyone's best friend. You always make me laugh, not afraid to be yourself and are so positive and uplifting. Not to mention of course an amazing artist and teacher. The world would be a better place if there were more people like you in it. ❤
I love watching your videos, especially the experiments but I’ve been focusing on watching ones where you’re using different types of resin because I’m struggling to figure out which resin to use when. Would you consider making a chart of your suggestions on when to use which resin? Deep pour, tabletop, 3x Uv, high viscosity, low viscosity- it’s overwhelming! Love your videos!
I have that lizard mold and grt rave reveies whrn i use glitters and iridescent colors on him! Give that a try!!
Love hiw these cane out!
😂❤️🤗🙏💯
Great video 👍 but as others have asked how’d the coaster come out? Please do a quick video to show us 🙏 😁
Wow, those creations came out really well. I love the lizard most of all! Superb. God bless you and those you love. Have a great week!
If the magnets are pu lling the filings down, you can flip them over to push the filings back.
This is wild! I've used extra bits of deep pour in thin molds when I make too much, but these are amazing.
Love how these came out. Steve how did the coaster turn out? The one you put your leftover resin in. Thank you so much for all the information you share with us.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I figured something must of happened. Thank you again for everything you do...
Almost looks like blown glass 💜,if you keep this up I might just have to get back into resin😉
love this technique, definitely a must try! what about the coaster???
What about the coaster? Anyway I do love all your art. You do a great and amazing job ❤ 🤗. Keep it up
Steve, I'm loving all of your videos, I've learned quite a lot from you, I'm just beginning my life in the resin world. I was afraid of the stuff for so long. I was loving the bronze skull video, that was AMAZING. In a previous video of yours, you spoke of a curing machine. What were you referring to that cured your resin in 2 hours, please? I'm in the U.S. in Florida and it's 2 p.m. here right now.

Love them. how did the coaster turn out?
Approximately how many ounces of deep pour did the lobster mold need?
I am sorry, I must have missed the part about using magnets. Pls explain. Thank you
*QUESTION:* Why don't you use a heat mat to shorten cure time? I'm very new to epoxy, so please forgive me, but I was wondering if my heating mat is doing something to my crafts that I don't realize because I don't see a lot of resin casters using a heating mat, so now I'm curious as to why that is.
I don't understand why you didn't get issues using a deep pour resin in shallow moulds ? Loved them both 😀
Question...who buys these? What do you sell these as?
Ok, I feel a little daft, (and maybe I missed the explanation), but what is the difference in the result from the deep pour resin to a normal resin with a 24 hour curing time?
The deep pour is suppose to release all the bubbles since its a longer curing time.
What happen to the coaster?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts oh no..sorry to hear that, was looking forward to seeing it. , ☺️
@@JanjanPlummer-gj5zf yeah I am so clumsy, and it made such a mess everywhere 😢
@@JanjanPlummer-gj5zf I’ll do some more with this technique to see how it works with other moulds.
@@SteveMcDonaldCrafting ok, can't wait to see them..your such a great inspiration ☺️ keep up the good work Steve💕
