I have a Schecter Hellraiser I’m planning to do a similar thing to, which kind of rings did u get? There are 2 different kinds- ones for “arched top” guitars and ones for “flat top”.
I like the black knobs..i was looking at the pro line speed knobs from GC.com... I think they will fit. Im debating between the cream or black triple shots... wondering if cream would look okay with black knobs and the neck binding, or if black would look better. :-)
Just so you know and don't make the same mistake next time, the circuit part should be stuck to the wood underneath the pickup. The excess cable should first be wound around the pickup, and judging for length position your triple-shot circuit accordingly.
No. There is a paper "Triple Shot™ Installation Instructions", which reads: 2. Clean the underside of the pickup’s bottom plate with clean cloth so that it is free of dust or wax residue. 3. Remove the backing from the adhesive strip on the back of the circuit board, and then stick the circuit board to the bottom of the pickup. Nothing about winding the wire around the pickup, but it seems like a tidy idea... after you attach the board to the back
was this the flat top triple shot model(TS-1s) or the carved top triple shot model(TS-2s)? Now that you have broken these in for a bit, you like them? I have the same guitar, same pickup set about to order, and considering throwing in the triple shot too... $50 + labor worth the sound?
Where are you getting this information from? There were no such instructions from SD. I see no need to move the circuit board. There is absolutely no interference from the pickup at all. I followed the instructions on the installation and put the board where SD says to put it. I have no issues at all. Have you had problems with an install? Please share if you have so others may be aware of it here. Thanks!

Schecters have a carved top but the pickup areas are flat. So go flats.

Question! Where do Mounting ring wires go to in the cavity. The wires are White, Black and Bare. Please help !
You need to wire the pickup rings to the vol pots of the pickups if you have standard wiring.
SNAKEPIT is a great name for that beauty. Good jobby job...:)

How do i coneect them to the pots?
Same way as usual. They come with instructions too.
@@TheGospelGuitarist awrsome . I'm pretty new to wiring guitars so that's good it has a manual for them
The custom wiring is done at the ring, only a hot and ground go to the pot, easy peasy!
Do you notice an output drop when installed? I think my tech fucked up
No can’t say I did. Output will drop when in single coil modes. That’s natural.
@@TheGospelGuitarist or if the pickups are in parallel, rather than series orientation.
LOL! Thanks!
Here is the SD official install video add this to "sd dot com" address
