    I've been following your channel for a while and I can't believe I missed this one. Experimenting is the best way to expand yourself, and its ironic how some other habits or traditions somehow get lodged in your core. Trying not to sound like a purest, but I find it ironic that your bow is basically versatile enough to be a walking stick or spear, made from super basic materials for the goal of being a dispensable melee weapon if the situation calls for it. Yet its carried in a rifle/archery bag in this video. I see the logic in being careful with your gear but your ranged weapon is basically natural sticks and not expensive carbon fiber. I imagine walking around with the bow could be illegal/intimidating and I get it, but ironic still. My first compound bow was kept in hard expensive case, but my (I think 8th) bow I made from your videos is kept in a plastic bag in the corner, and when taken to the range it travels in the basic cheapest arrow quiver I found on amazon. (I don't have 8 of the exact same bow, but the 8th one I have in my collection.) Not trying to knock on your bow, its beautiful, deadly and effective, but I find it ironic cause the bag likely cost more than your set in just material cost, not devaluing your time in man hours crafting it.
    By the way I love your videos and I hope that more can enjoy them as much as I do. Its a different space outside of how popular archery is, but doesn't lesson the art if anything I find your video as equally expanding and thought provoking as Lars Anderson's.

    • @PanSaltzCaballeratos
      @PanSaltzCaballeratos  Рік тому

      Thank you very much for your words my friend! I've never thought about the bag in that way and indeed it's funny to think about it. But now that I think about it further, it's even funnier the fact that people seeing me walk with it... could NEVER imagine just a stick. In their minds, I have a sniper hahaha. So I am achieving a deeper intimidation in a legal way hahahaha.

    Cool stuff. I can see the bow and it's variants a useful shtf weapon. Lots of people only think of firearms and granted firearms changed history forever but we all forgot how things as simple as a bow can wreak havock among people. Poison arrows allow a shitty bow and arrow to kill the biggest animals on earth. Fire arrows shot at buildings and the surrounding landscape can cause a massive fire to kill and destroy enemies and cause chaos amongst them. Also it's ability to be quiet makes for assassinations. Reusable ammo, the ability to create your own weapons. Things like that is what we people don't consider. Sure, a thousand men armed with ak 47s is not something you stand against with a bow but to have small hit and run units armed with bows, I can see them causing disruption amongst an army which chances are when shtf that's how it would be... A bigger better equipped force fighting smaller rag tag hit and run groups with improvised weapons. I might not be the best warrior with the best training but I can think realistically and I understand that warfare and killing has been happening long before gun powder and firearms

    • @Stormcloakvictory
      @Stormcloakvictory 3 роки тому

      #25 is pretty low, but ask bow hunters, the legal low limit is #40 for deer, but #40 generally goes clean through, #30 even.
      So yeah 25# with sharp light broad heads should do.
      Unless you hit bone.
      Wouldn't pierche a shoulder blade might fracture the sternum tho.

    Combate archery?its a moderno sport? As for military archery its Wells documented. Heavy bows of 70-80lbn. And a single shot style.not any light bows machines gun shooting. Otherwise It would be documented that a single archery killed hundred enemies.

      @@PanSaltzCaballeratos in this case the combat archery is a wrong name

    • @PanSaltzCaballeratos
      @PanSaltzCaballeratos  5 років тому +6

      @@alexyatsyuk70 No, the term is right, the only problem with this term is that it is too general and not as specific in each case as it should. Combat archery as a term describes any type of archery training that aims to be used in real combat. Either in special operations, larp fun fights, historical reenactments or freeplay fights in general. Each thing can be very different from one another but should still be considered "combat archery". What I would agree with would be that the name "combat archery" should include way more than just the fast shooters and it should be accompanied with a second and more specific title. Many critics are seeing this whole thing wrong and are only addressing fast shooters as "combat archers". In other words there should be three major archery categories. Sport archery , hunting archery and combat archery. Sport archery includes games and challenges on things that are not meant to fight back. Hunting archery is about chasing a moving target that might fight back in certain cases and combat archery is the art of fighting that which can fully fight back. Do I make sense with what I am explaining? I aim to make an entire video addressing the matter.

      @@PanSaltzCaballeratos i would discrape on the term combat as something that can fight back.do you consider a paintball as a real military skill?i guess no.its just a game.same as a combat archery. The main thing here is not zig zagging and quik shooting badly aiming.the main thing is how to kill with a single shot. The comandos i have deben they train with a td hunting bow and a broadhead Arrow for a single deadly shot. As Wells as we do hunting.try to kill a roe deer? This animal can spot u un 1,5km and its hearing and smell a millon tymes is superior then ours.to kill a roe deer u should kniw how to hunt. How to be silente and come Up at20m unheard unseen.then only one Arrow and one life. This is the way comandos do.even with crosbows and poison.hide.shoot and go.

      @@alexyatsyuk70 "I won't convince you even if I convince you" - Aristophanes. I happen to be fully trained in many branches of special forces in the military. We used paintball many times as training means. Military groups have approached me because they saw the value of what I am doing. "Badly aiming" ... not a single shot shown in my videos is badly aimed. All shots hit the mark and very quickly. I have a feeling that you argue just to argue while missing all the VISIBLE facts. I'll say it again. All these terms are very general and they include MANY styles.
