      "Why we all dont live like this?". It takes time. Less than 30 years passed since such living became possible. Ofc most ppl now just cannot afford that. But so in almost any country in the world. Still a lot had already changed. Young families are not living anymore with their parents on 50 sq.m and usually have their own apartments. Its a rarity to hear that someone lives in a communal apartment (and I live in Saint-Petersburg the former "capital of kommunalkas"). Detached family houses are the next step. I already have 3 friends who moved into them. Not as fabulous as the one in the video but still large 500 sq.m ones. And my fourth friend bought a townhouse. So lets wait for another 10 maybe 15 years. Russia does have a lot of land and not so large population.

    Wow, this house is a dream. I think everyone wants to live in such a mansion... As for me, I find it even too luxurious 😀 I do not need so many entertainments and extra rooms... I dream to live in the countryside, on the land, it is my biggest dream actually! But I do not need such a luxury house, I just want to have a house with enough bedrooms for my family, a big light kitchen, a warm living-room and my personal yard, where I could sit, read and relax. And I can buy an outdoor plastic pool for 150$, that would be enough for me and for the absolute happiness of my children 😁😃

      Rusalka and Sanya: Provincial Russian Life I agree completely. We see this a lot in the US. People live in unnecessarily huge houses that they are slaves to. So they work all the time trying to pay it off and keep it up, and don’t spend the time they should with their family, wind up divorced and unhappy, or miss time with neglected kids so their relationship is never close. Smaller but nice is the secret. Russians do that very well I’ve found. Слава Россия!

      Russian mentality is nowhere near what people out in the west are like. Russians are used to live in a lie, they don't care for others, but themselves, very nationalistic and homophobic, not tolerant of outsiders in general. They also lack the sense of responsibility. This is not true of all Russians, but certainly of the majority and many in the elites. Exception would be some younger generation intellectuals, but too few of them around to make any difference. Oh, and Russians absolutely hate the US. Can't stand it and think Americans are dumb. How do I know? I am Russian myself.

In Moscow a house like the one in the video would be way more expensive, and despite being more expensive they're also much more common.

    I think this house in Russia has a price of about a million dollars. In the United States, it would have cost at least ten million, given the size of the land and other details.

      @@kutuzovm3215 you mean two million four hundred thousand? I just compared it to an average house in Florida, which at current prices is estimated at one million two hundred thousand dollars. Not too expensive place and state in a whole, a small the assistant land, ordinary wall from plywood. The house shown in this video certainly has fully brick walls with good thermal insulation. In Russia, houses in this price category are simply not built otherwise. Though there are technologies of the Finnish house-building and similar. But this is not the case. This house will last a hundred years or more and it will definitely not eat termites:) In addition, this house is quite a large plot of land.

      @stevecherk1022 4 роки тому

      @@kutuzovm3215 I'm sorry, but you write nonsense. Why? In California, these prices are at least one and a half times higher than in Florida. For half a million now probably you can buy a very ordinary small house with cardboard walls, in which there is certainly no place for a pool or Billiards :) I gave you an example of a very specific house in Florida for a million two hundred thousand, where an ordinary family lives with an income of about 300 thousand dollars a year. Without a basement, with a tiny courtyard, in a bad place. And you're trying to convince someone here that a major brick house with a swimming pool, a large plot of land and full equipment, is three to six times cheaper than that house of five-inch timber, plywood and glass wool insulation? :) Yes at this house one fence probably costs not less than one hundred thousand dollars if to build it in the USA. You would be more with the lodges of the Indians on the reservations compared. Ridiculous!

      @@kutuzovm3215 what does the exchange rate have to do with houses being built largely from local materials, by local labor? The construction of a house made of timber is now generally inexpensive. For a hundred thousand dollars will be quite a decent house with all the equipment up to 200 square meters or even more, which is exactly what you have in California will cost no less than half a million, but rather not less than a million. Moreover, the timber is not plywood and these houses keep the heat well even in winter. This is exactly the budget option, which is now very common. The competition in the market is huge and the prices for the construction of such houses are lower and lower:) the House shown in this video significantly exceeds these budget options of houses and in size and materials,and the size of the land. Yes, in Russia, such a house can probably be built for half a million dollars. If something to refuse ;) But to build for such money something though close similar in the USA? It's fantastic in my opinion.

      This comparison makes no sense. It's highly dependent on location. In Germany a house near/in big city goes for a million, on the countryside is not even half of that.

    Honestly, this modern house is well built with good materials but the interior feels stern, industrial warehouse atmosphere, it looks more like a gaming complex than a house. Maybe nighttime also accentuates this. The colors are monochromatic and cold. It feels unhappy and without style.
