It even predicted the rise of Donald Trump, or at least a figure like him. The Patriots alude to how the individual while weak is far from powerless and how someone could use the Internet to shape the course of history. Obviously, the Patriots consider this potentially disastrous. Senator Armstrong in Revengeance is this figure the Patriots warn about as he uses social media to advance his own aims. 3 Years after Revengeance was released, Donald Trump, who is just as flamboyant, over the top and cartoonish as Armstrong also effectively used social media to meme his way to the White House. This is why he is so hated by the establishment. He utterly bypassed them to obtain power. Then the establishment started their own censorship regime, their GW in response to Trump. Social media companies in league with government agencies such as the FBI began to manipulate the algorithm, push, and censor information to advance the narrative that fits their agenda. Claiming they were fighting against misinformation. This is why Elon Musk buying Twitter was such an issue for them because he promised to punch a giant whole in their censorship regime.

It was an escape from dealing with the fact that my grandmother was in the hospital dying, but it was also a mindblowing obsession at the same time. I remember finishing it and not being able to talk to anyone about it because my grandmother had passed and no one would care. Contemplating the themes of MGS2 and the death of my grandmother who grew up before all of this wretched tech was an extremely formulative time in my life.

I played this game like a month ago, after a very rough breakup, so the codec calls between Jack and Rose really resonated with me. Tho now, I can also see how misinformed I was of my own past experiences, how the truth can get distorted or each person can make up their own convenient truths or half truths to bring down the other person or to not feel guilt, this realization after going to therapy, analyzing a lot of things and having one last message a few days ago that really hurt but I can understand how misinformed, untruthful or hurtful we can be as people, even to loved ones, as a way to "protect" the other person or even ourselves.
I was a little sad with mgs3 and 4 not having as deep codec calls tho still love them for their own fantastic ideas and executions. And really in retrospective mgs2 gives so much to talk about. When I played it I likened the censorship of rapid spreading information and misinformation to the ban on tiktok on the US even if im not from there I can still see how truthful the rapid spreading of meaningless or meaningful information on the internet truly is.
loved the intro, love this series, and rn im playing portable ops so i skipped the mgsV parts but trust me after po, pw ill play mgsV.

In regards to the VR arena where you fight the Rays, it can’t be ignored that it would have been significantly easier for the team to render it that way, and it’s possible that time/money played into it looking the way it does. That said the whole arsenal gear sequence definitely feels like descending into madness making you wonder if anything is real, just like Raiden does, so it absolutely fits thematically as well.

20 years later im still suspicious of how mgs2 was so much more advanced than other ps2 games for graphics and physics. Just like the patriots controlling the flow of information do console manufacturers actually have much more advanced consoles than the technology they put out, so they can always sell the "upgraded next gen"? just like apple selling new i-phones or computers when they have ones decades in advance available but withhold them deliberately. Why is Japan decades ahead in technology also? And mgs2 just happens to be a japanese made game...

Relativistic common sense (RCC) analysis for relaity differentiation is very aprt. The problem with this is it has strict flaw relying on Relativistic experiences. Thus, it becomes a world of "nonething is true but, everything encountered at that moment of refrence is permitted."

When I first played this game after it came out, I've thought about the game conversations the GW A.I talks about at the end constantly and what it all meant, and it made me self-aware of how the Internet was growing, and still is, and how it changes people as they integrate more of it into their lives. It's constantly evolving and changing with the times faster than the real-world can keep up with.

You know... using phrases such as "your truth" and "facts that are subjective" unironically is only furthering the issue.
Neither truth nor facts are subjective. Humanity, at least in the english speaking world, have devolved to having a dangerously casual relationship with the definition of those words among others.
A fact is a fact, or it isn't a fact. The truth is the truth, or it isn't the truth. As soon as subjectivity comes into play with either one of these, they cease to be. They become opinions.
As silly as it sounds, I think we need to increase the strictness of our language policeing. Letting our grip slip on the structure and use of our language endangers our ability to communicate with each other effectively. Words have definitions. Definitions are the concepts or ideas that we wish to communicate with each other that we then agree to be represented by words. If we lose this ability to communicate... I refer you to the tower of Babel.

its an issue if the powers that be like the patriots, elites, people in power, etc call something "fact or truth" might be subjective is my point as people will believe it as a fact just because they say it is, as you said a fact is a fact, or it isn't its objectively proven, communication has changed over the years with English been the most dominate language, and with communication becomes information, that can be manipulated, look at the definition's of words and definition's today as the "pronouns" phenomena, shows that policing on language doesn't happenen, and sub cultures even create there own words, communication is ever changing, the digital age is living proof of that
