Some items noted above were gifted.
I feel like some wood logs piled up inside the fireplace would look great! It would match the warm tones, and add some texture into the room.
And small string of battery lights tucked behind.
just missing some plants here and there and one hanging above the chair and it'll make your space even more cozy :)
That's the plan! I need to find a plant that would be ok with some low light, any suggestions? It's not the brightest room :(
@@TashaLeelyn photos is the typical one, and it grows very nicely. Also, I love the vibe you gave to the space🧚♀️🧚♀️
Tasha Leelyn a pothos!
@@TashaLeelyn ZZ plants thrive on neglect.
@@TashaLeelyn Yes, plants! Maybe try a snake plant (mother-in-law's tongue), they like low lighting :)
I think painting the inside of the fireplace with a dark burgundy like what is in your rug would help tie everything together and keep it soft, but still give it depth for an authentic look.
Nothing like fresh paint - it looks SO good. I would leave the inside of the fireplace black. Buy a black grate and add birch logs.😊
I need painting coveralls so badly. What a nice touch to have the fireplace sit flush against the wall!
I agree- Tasha’s starting a coveralls movement! (I’m totally investing in a pair.)
Thank you SOOOOOO much for doing the cutting in first and then actually painting up and down the full height of the wall. Also painting with a fully loaded roller. So many of the makeover videos paint with a half loaded roller and paint until the roller is dry. They also paint half diagonal, half vertical, start in the middle of the wall but don’t go all the way up and down in a vertical line. You’re methodical way of rolling the paint on gives such a beautiful result. Karen Florida
Oh. MY GOSH. I just tweeted feelings exactly like this LOL. It kills me watching some people paint LOL.
@@TashaLeelyn aaaaaaargh! ME TOO! So funny. Also forgot to mention the nice careful way you cut out the baseboard. This way you are able to replace it when you decide to change the fireplace out. Karen Florida
To be honest I really like the smaller areal rug. It centers the room and the runner layerd on top leads the eye to the fireplace which I think is the focal point of the room. It's really balancing the composition. Very lovely😊 as always
The little puppy paws peeking from the hallway 🥺
Beautiful livingroom loving the natural colours xx
Having a dog with cronic headache it is so much better with real hardwood then vinyl. look soo good
I think the rugs look layered rugs look great and I even like the sizes.
I just wanted to say that the dogs are so cute!!!
My favourite comment. THANK YOU.
I suggest placing a clear top glass and brass coffee table on top of your rugs so this way, you'll still be able to see the beautiful rug pattern beneath it. And lastly, put live plants with gorgeous handwoven wicker pots in your living space to add more natural elements into your livingroom while it purifies and cleans the air. Love how your livingroom is coming along this far! 🙏🏻💕❣️🙏🏻
I like the layered rugs. Some candles in the fireplace would look good.
You both have done so much work and it's really coming together. The etsy rug added the warmth..
Definitely need some plants for greenery and nice wall art
Really appreciate you giving a tour of the space in detail. Gives enough time to actually understand and absorb the transformation :)
I think you need a really cool wicker light fixture in room. And I would do maybe a wall fixture type bookcase with cool pottery on it
There are some wicked cute dogbeds out there, seriously. I'll come back and post them as I remember them! Lovely sanctuary you're creating. Always splurge on the couch.
DM me on insta if you find some! Please!!!
i would have the sofa in the middel of the room facing the tv if theres enough space around it
the door would be blocked
I think I would turn the layout one wall. Move the couch to face the fireplace, tuck the chair where the dog bed is or on the other side of the fireplace. The decor, floor and paint is absolutely beautiful, the fung shui just feels off.
How about a cool rattan dog bed? Then some shelves above the dog bed with your beautiful vases that you thrift and greenery in between, just for a more cosy feel together with a suitable fitted coffee table for the space? 🤩
Girl I feel you on the paint, when I bought my house I painted every single room and ceiling in a 2 week period before I moved in. Omg it’s a lot lol.
I love it!! I definitely think you need a small coffee table even though it may feel like it would crowd the space. A division in the middle of the room would look great imo!
We have a small one that we bring out when we have guests but with the dogs it's just in the way most of the time LOL. Sacrificing the coffee table for them, who knows maybe I'll give it another go!
That blanket though... LOVE ❤️❤️❤️
Tasha the room came out really well. I love the color palette.
i think painting the brick like a brick color on the fire place would look so pretty
hey luv the fireplace. maybe paint the inside bottom black, and hang curtains as far to the ceiling as possible . makes the room look taller. you did a great job. beautiful.
I love the pieces you chose, the couch and chair are so dope
Love it all! Lots of cute DIY dog bed ideas out there on Pinterest and UA-cam. Find material that you like and fit your aesthetic and make your own! If you do, please do a video about it. 😁
For your fur babieeeessss check out the big barker beds! Super plain, but super healthy for them 🥰🥺
You could put a little piece of quarter round or trim along the edge of the fireplace just to finish it off so there is no gap with the floor.
Can article please send me that couch and a dining table? LOL 😂
@ Article plz send Chelsie a couch and dining table thank u
😂😂😂😍 love you!!
Right!!!
Michael sure is handy love that fire place😍
Lowe’s and Home Depot sell paint sprayers and actually leave the wall nice and smooth... it also saves you for the soreness in your arms ❤️
A chunky rustic mantle, that you can slip over the brick, would look great!
It really shows that you‘re a perfectionist, even though you didn‘t get to finish everything you wanted! Your makeovers are always so on point, I highly enjoy every episode! :)
I haven't seen your videos pop up on my feed in so long 🥺 I'm so glad this one did!
It looks so lovely & welcoming! I especially love the look of the layered rugs (And I totally feel you about pet clean up-- it's why I never put a rug down in my living room.) Perhaps a macrame tapestry for one of the empty walls? It might be nice for tying in all the lovely accent colors. Ooh, also a hanging plant or two to fill some corners.
I'm on the hunt for a hanging plant! I'll try to put any additional Living Room changes in a vlog so I can keep you guys up to speed with all the additions!
Looks amazing a few plants would look nice. I love what you've done x
Happy Holidays, Everything looks beautiful ❤️ I probably will add flameless candles inside the fireplace area with a couple of pebble rocks!!!
I so love your content. 💕 I appreciate your realness and decorating patience. 😊 One thing I noticed that I couldn’t see a change in at the end was the way the drapes were hung. I think pulling the sofa out a bit so the drapes aren’t crowded would be a good move. Also- and I’m pretty nervous about adding this- are you thinking about moving the drapery rod brackets out? I thought you might be, but wasn’t sure. I’ve dealt with drilling into plaster walls, etc., and hate to suggest doing more unless it’s very necessary, but I think moving the brackets out a little more than where they are would look better. As an option, if you ever want to try a double curtain rod (drapes + sheers), some desert-rosy velvet drapes over winter white under-curtaining would look really cozy & plush and complement your bohemian style. ✌🏼
It looks so fantastic!! I would love to see a video on how you keep such a nice tidy house especially with dogs. I have two haha
Oh! Great Idea! I'd love to do this - normalize dog hair lol. Will keep this in mind!
@@TashaLeelyn love it!!
Maybe some round coffie table, some bookshelf( with books), some plants, pictures on the wall....
We just don't have a big enough living room for a coffee table! We have 3 dogs and it became a hazard with them (not enough space for all of them to roam), so we took it out - I forgot to mention this!
Love it! I will hang some art on the walls...but is looking great!
Didn't want to rush things, I think all those little knick knacks/artwork with come in time to us as we settle! Looking forward to that! Thank you for watching!!
Just finished Reno on my house. There were 3 of us painting so I thought we could do it in one long weekend. Fri sat sun. But NO NO NO, it took 5 weekends! Lol
You should design and sell custom dog beds 👍🏼
That couch is beautiful!! I love your floor cushions, and the layered rugs! It's so warm and welcoming. You should put a shelf or two up (the wall opposite to the lamp, where the chair is), perhaps some super slim photo shelves. I've seen people use Ikea spice racks before as shelves. The Svenshult gold wired shelf or Lisabo wood shelf from Ikea are cute options. :)
It looks amazing and soooo cozy!!! Love it!!!
tasha, this looks SO GOOD!
I’ve painted both my homes! The first one I even needed to do the trim 😅
SO YOU KNOW MY PAIN.
@@TashaLeelyn yeah it’s the actual worst 🙃
Love how it turned out
I love it! You did a wonderful job… and the filming of the video was highly informative.
I love what you did with this room. Also, thanks for restoring the floors!!! Why oh why would they cover those up?! Dog bed is cute. My only pet peeve is the West Elm end table - I find it too tall and spindly and less cozy than everything else. Although very useful in that corner for a lamp or drink, I bet. Great room.
there is a small mom and pop shop run in southern nevada called OneFortyThree, and they design AMAZING guitar wall hanging hooks. You would love them! They also ship to canada
I love the room! It just needs some plants😊
I LOVE it! The best part are the pouf :))
Yay! Love the house videos! Looks gorg!
Love ur pink lounge wear
simply amazing, as always!!!
Looks amazing! I love it!
It looks really nice but in my opinion it surely needs some *green colors* (plants obvi) to make the place look more fresh and alive..
For the space *above the chair* maybe shelves for books and plants decor..?
Fo fire place, wood logs can make it look cozier
And if you need a *coffee table* but not sure if the room would look more crowded.. you could try placing a clear table.. it helps with small spaces
Hope this helps :)
Love it. So pretty
Just a thought. Perhaps put the sofa in the middle of the room facing the fireplace. You could place a sofa table behind for decorative pieces. And put the chair next to the fireplace. 🤔😁
Ps it looks great the way it is, just thought I’d suggest another layout in case you hadn’t thought about it.
We did :( room is too small :( bigger living room next house is officially on our wish list.
Green wall of plants or macrame planters and nice photo prints of beach from Etsy. Or a juju hat. You need plants and more plants and 1 thing red in color somewhere as an accent. Ooooh or some brass or gold.
Love the room. You have your floor lamp by your chair. Are you going to do a floor or end table lamp by the sofa? Low incandescent light makes a room feel so cozy in the evenings. I’m sure you probably have it in your plans already. Maybe even a hanging light. Karen Florida
I love it girl it's beautiful.
Thank you!!! You're the best.
Gorgeous makeover.
i love your style and videos
This means so much to me! Thank you for the love! xx
I’m closing on a house and the WHOLE house is painted a blue/gray color lol. Gonna have to paint all of my house too!
Is there a link for the target pillow in the chair?! I’m obsessed with it 🤗🤗
Looks cozy
Beautiful couch.
Love the floor arrangement ! Is it hard to watch tv from that angle ? I’d just add some cute boho wall art and plants
We put the TV on a swivel mount!
Do they have Costco in Canada? They have awesome dog beds! Our big dog loves it and it’s lasted a long time. Your living room is so cute!!!
I'd be interested to see what angle you watch this TV at. You adjust the angle off the wall?
Yes, it’s a swivel mount!
Beautiful! Do you ever feel like Simply White looks yellow in certain light?
I do yes! Still love that it doesn’t feel blue though!
Love your style!
Not a must have but it would look great if you made a diy raw wood frame for the tv?
try etsy for dog beds! some have custom cactus silk dog beds or you can try mud cloth dog beds
OMG REALLY? OK. OFF I GO!
Why did I think the Bouclair curtain rod was an up close shot of a foundation bottle.... 🤣
Too funny, I was thinking the same thing!!
I think it looks beautiful! You should definitely get a coffee table or ground the space! Also Check out the KOKO collective. They have beautiful rattan dog beds.
What is that fire place made out of? It would be unbelievably heavy if it was building brick
Great job! That fireplace tho!
Article gives so so so much away to influencers. Makes me jealous honestly since I can't afford their stuff. Freaking @article.
What is that fireplace made out of? How heavy is it?
How do you keep white furniture clean with 3 dogs?
The dogs won't be on the chair, so it should be fairly easy!
Where did you get the square cushion that go on the floor?
Okay after 5 bohemian in Etsy thanks jaja
What about putting the couch facing the fire place and tv. Doesn’t always have to be against a wall.
You over estimate the size of my tiny living room LOL! The couch is like the same width of the room, if we were to turn it. There would be no room for another chair :( we toyed with this idea! It was what we really wanted!
I would have put the smaller rug not in the middle of the bigger one but more in the side a little diagonally thats would create a bigger rug look
Big box (made from palettes?) put short legs on. Dog bed
How about a macrame wall hanging in the corner by the chair ?
the "pup rug" from paw.com might work for your aesthetic!
We did our whole house but a paint sprayer made it so much faster
Maybe the curtains...the higher the better? I don’t know, it would have make the window look much bigger. What about a coffee table?
WoW!!!
Cute😀
Artwork!
Beautiful, can’t wait to see the other rooms! I love your sleepy puppies.
Aren't they the cutest?? ❤️
Wow it looks great!! Was the fireplace heavy??
Girl you need an extra large paint roller, I've heard they're life changing! You basically cut the time in half becuase they are 18 inches instead of 9!
You know.... I SAW THESE and I was like surely I don't need this. I think I needed it.
