In 2019 He was supposed to do a Futuristic Action Thriller Titled The End Web Series For Amazon Prime but what happened with that project nobody knows (most probably prime was not happy with the script).

My biggest complaint with the trailer is that it gives away way too many interesting points of the film. Bollywood needs to learn the art of how to cut a trailer from South!

And what the hell is wrong in the way the directors show him and portray him. Akshay kumar is one of the handsome man in the industry. They should take inspiration from his characters like 'Guru Gulab Khatri' the way 2000's directors used to show him in action movies and which suited him at least that's commendable irrespective of the movie presentation at least they showed akshay kumar in the best possible way (stylish and yet dangerous) but look at now..!!

Jammy I wholeheartedly agree with you. It will be a mistake to keep Prithviraj under a mask. The banter is rubbish here. I think Varun-John did far better in Dishoom a movie I felt was very entertaining and perhaps deserved a franchise.
Also worried that AK is delivering dialogue in the same flat tone as Tiger Shroff. Perhaps this was to equalise that Tiger had to adjust to Akshay's dancing
I think it's Akshay's stubbornness of doing films in limited days in a certain way coming in way of everything....just because it worked for so many yesrs(anyway he have always did certain type of films which were really good as he is really good in comedy and simple films which gives social commentary) doesn't mean it is going to work for every film every genre..

Even many of his co-stars said ki Akshay ki filme toh jaldi ban jaati hai, packup bhi jaldi ho jaata hai...you are talking about just 100 days whereas others actors like Aamir, SRK even Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky kaushal gave much more days to the films whenever it is needed...harr ek film 100 din main nhi bann skti (Samrat prithviraj is the biggest example for this)... it's Akshay who is stubborn when it comes to these things and he himself have mentioned in his various other interviews as well..

They were both quite mid tbh, they felt like rehashes of what he's been repetitively for a while now.
Prithviraj is such a great actor. I wonder what they were thinking when they decided to hide his face with the Dr Doom like mask. I hope we can see his full acting potential without any mask in this movie.
I am surprised that Akshay Kumar hasn't done a serious action franchise in the past decade. Something that is well written, that allows him to utilise his martial arts/stunts skills and doesn't include any masala elements. He is well disciplined, can act, can do stunts and is something that could elevate him commercially. The recent action films out of Bollywood are ok to watch in the cinema but are not necessarily strong story or even VFX wise etc. Pathaan, War, Fighter, Tiger 3. There is a space for someone like Akshay to do a grounded action drama franchise. When I want to watch a well written, serious action film I still only go to Hollywood. This shouldn't be the case when you see the talent that is in Bollywood currently.

I feel that zeal to achieve big is still alive in Akshay sir, but the problem is content now-a-days we hardly have films with great stories and directiors and screenplay writers also need a great push.

Akshay Kumar as he gets older should really be playing villain roles from now on. From the 1990’s most of his movies were Action movies, 2000’s comedy movies, 2010’s social movies and now 2020’s and so forth, he should start playing psychological thriller movies of him playing the bad guy.

He's an amazing actor no doubt. Maybe the finest since the 90s. Just needs to take a break, sit down and think about the choices he's making and consciously choose roles that challenge him. Now that money is no longer a deciding factor for him while doing films, he can really be part of some extremely exciting stuff like Mr. Mamooty has been doing so consistently for a while.

He's a below average actor, wdym? He's always within 1-2 standard deviations of his role in Khatta Meeta, sometimes more comedic, sometimes more serious. Don't confuse box office pull for being a good actor

The appetite for experimentation in Bollywood mainstream seems low due to audience. There is a certain jadedness now on these celebs and their past success should never be an indication of future outcomes.

Noticed the funny thing that neither Akshay nor Tiger say full dialogue, it’s always 50-50, one starts and other completes!
The problem with both Akshay and Tiger is, we are only seeing them as themselves in many recent films. There's no change in the characters. Even this bold moustache of Akshay seems very repetitive now. I guess just like SRK, Akshay should take a break and relax for a while, and in future don't rush to sign too many projects.
& Tiger can do whatever he wants to do. He is happy in his own world, and no one will bother if he disappear from films forever.

Akshay switching to comedy isn't going to makes his eyes any less dead. Kunal just gave Madgaon express, he's also done Pop Kaun, Lootcase, and Golmaal3/Go Goa Gone is the past. He's been very consistent with his comedy.
Akshay's last comedic outings were Housefull 4 🤮, Laxmii 🤮, and Bacchan Pandey 🤮.

Akshay Kumar is over exposed and does far too many films, ads, UA-cam appearances with wife or social media posts. He should take breaks like Aamir and shed that comedy baggage which has latched on to him since 2000. No one can accept him in serious roles now and failure of his attempts at serious roles shows that.

there are multiple factors first and foremost is he is way too overexposed and his movies aren't well written anymore, the audience doesn't think they have missed out on much as they knew there will be new Akshay movie next month, secondly his politics and insistent and glorifying certain politicians must have rubbed people the wrong way.
I genuinely want BMCM to perform well at the BO. Only he needs to do is to increase his gap of releasing films, give time to each of his roles, understand his core audiences n his own genre he's famous for n not mix up his personal ideology with his reel life works. The confusing part is that the movie name is BMCM but the content is syfy...ganne tho bhangar nikle... dialogue avg sound kr rahe hai aur ek Jo acha actor tha usko bhi mask Pina diya... keeping the expectations in check regarding this movie... hope for the best but the best thing about the movie is that this movie doesn't have yellowish palate

See I was a huge Akshay kumar fan growing up, he used to do good movies he actually cared about and put efforts into the project he had, he used to be political and question the govt and was a good samaritan. the problem began when people started praising him too much like how he finishes movies quickly and how he is so witty etc. so now he thinks as he has reached a certain age that he doesn't have to work that hard just has to finish projects as fast as he can and get paid. He didn't realise he doesn't have the mass audience pull like Salman who can get away with stuff like this and that's where he lost his audience because the Akshay we used to love cared about his work rather that just getting paid for completing useless projects as quickly as one can

Cause audience haven’t seen srk like that neither in jawan nor in pathaan that’s why it broke records , where as Akshay is doing the same thing for the last 5 years sooryavanshi itself was a torture , same terrorism Kashmir Pakistan , the plus point wpathaan used is that they neither directly showed the “Pakistan “ factor but rather a created a group of outlaws including Czech Pakistan India and what not that’s why it felt like a “Austin powers meet Bollywood) sad to say even comedy can’t save Akshay now , he should do Ott contents like shahid and then return to the big screen , it worked for shahid too , after Farzi he gave 100 cr plus worldwide in a romcom movie ( which still had flaws) but audience aren’t bored of him , and looking the past ventures in comedy ( selfie , house full 4 ) he needs to up his game . The main issue is the title. This movie could have had any other title and it would have been fine.

I think people shud really watch the gentlemen series, people who have seen the movie the gentlemen by same director would know he repeated the story but with different characters. I love there was no romance between two main character yet the chemistry is so great. Kay's character surprised me the most, powerful character.

The sad part is whether a movie is a hit or not, its the producers that suffer the loss and not the actors/actresses coz they get paid the said amount. So at this point I feel Akshay just doesn't care much, as long as he gets paid his share.
Maybe someone younger like Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham or Abshieck Bachchan would’ve been better choices for Akshay’s role.
