I put aside fishing to raise seven kids. Now I'm thinking about picking it up again. I always thought I would take up fly fishing, but now I am seriously thinking about Tenkara fishing. Your videos, as well as those of other Tenkara anglers, are very helpful and fun to watch. Thanks!

Just bought my first Tenkara rod yesterday, the HANE. Caught small panfish within the first 3 minutes! Need more videos and more videos of pond fishing. There are no mountain rivers where I live.

*I grew up around lakes and rivers and fished all my life. Several years ago I began fly fishing almost exclusively. I love the poetry and Zen of the motions. Well, after my friend hounded me enough to take him, I got his a Tenkara rod. I'm not the most patient perfriend and a lousy teacher so I figured with stream fishing this would be like softball compared to baseball.*

Hi, Please allow me to share the pleasant experience of having used the Tenkara USA Amago for more than three years in salt water fishing small tarpon 20 ", snook 18", palometa 10 ", lisa 16", catfish 13 "and flounder 10" with tippet fluorocarbon Seaguar 6lb. And fly patterns like shrimps, bonefish bitters, and gotchas have worked very well.
The rod is still in good condition and working until today, the advice is to use the longest possible line in # 4.5 and fight them patiently because they are strong fish.

Is the EBISU no longer available? I love that rod, it's caught me a lot of fish.

Nice case upgrade....been following since the beginning. Started with the Rhodo back in 2010. Learned to fish with an almost 16' line on Keuka lake. I do lots of big stream and bass. The rhodo has no trouble with 8-10lb bass...even bigger.....don't rush it tho. Lol. I'm ready for my second! What do you think

I've been using the Yamame Tenkara rod for a while now! I'm just wondering which one of these newer robs would you compare it to?

Bought one 5 years ago. Paid way too much. There are "poles" for sale at Bass Pro that are just as capable for 10% of the cost.

Can you recommend a pole from Bass Pro that is comparable to the Amago ?
