Thank you guys . U have inspired me to work on my 2007 xb. It had a spark plugg pop out on the back cylinder and the stator was burnt. I read my manual and watched it vids and id call my self a buell mechanic now .xb lifer stay safe
Great to hear you are inspired. Thats why we do this. Check out the webpage of dutch twin motorcycles for the manuals! Owner/repair manual you might be missing. Cheers!
I have an 2004 XB12R with the same gearbox problem. Where did you guys source the Shifter forks and drum from? I'm in Australia and very keen to get this thing back running.....good vids by the way.
We couldn’t find a visual cause. We replaced the shifter forks because of this. It was worth a try. We also used the recommended oil. For all we know, it could have been the oil all along. So we suggest first try a high grade oil to see if that helps. If not, go to your dealer and order new forks. But thay ain’t cheap! And thanks for watching. Appreciate the gesture.
@@RBMRepairCrew Yeah you are right, new forks, shifter drum, shifter shafts, bearings and a full gasket set 2g and its all back order. Thanks for the reply, according to a few good HD technicians I know a few thou wear in the shifter drum is enough to cause the problem. I will give the oil a go first though. Thanks for the reply.
@@tyso69us we had the drum inspected here in the Netherlands by a Buell specialist but he couldn’t find anything wrong with it. All the bearings were in good working order! We waited more then 4 months on parts. Good luck and keep us posted on your bike!
@@RBMRepairCrew I probably wasted a couple of gorilla's then...should of had quite few hangovers instead of sticking to what I know....long live the shovel.
Hello Henoc Silva. Thank you for watching. Its a great bike when it works. My uncle uses it for 60 to 80km roads. Its perfect for that. But look at the construction of a buell to define what must be done if something needs repairs.

And what’s to stop you from buying one?! The bike is a shear joy to ride!
@@RBMRepairCrew only thing stopping me at the moment is money, but i'm sure i will be able to afford a buell within the year
@@henocsilva562 you’ll get there eventually. Keep us posted!
