    The segments are always cool and you continue to narrow in on your process. It is fun to watch you learn.

    A beautiful vase and very enjoyable watching you make it. Its such a clever yet simple process. I'd be very proud to have it displayed on my mantlepiece.

    Very nice. Another option might be to wait long enough with the resin so that the colors marble a little more when pouring two or more colors.

    glad this build went smoothly for you. the finished piece is a proper beauty. you ever considered trying a project using just resin?

    • @RestorationDIY

      Thank you so much 🙂 I have considered an only resin project but I think it would be very costly, perhaps if I got an Epoxy Resin sponsor i could do one 😀

    Looks great. As to the question of bowl or vase, I say it depends on what's in it: fruit or flowers. ;)

      Thankyou, I went for calling it a vase but like you said I think it could be either depending on what its used for.🙂

    I like it! Maybe alternate the grain pattern on the ring pieces?? Just a thought. Either way it looks great !

    Wow looks so good, always wished i could do something like this but tools are so expensive never mind the cost of an actual lathe

      Thankyou, Very true but you can do a lot with basic handtools, maybe that would be a good starting point for you. 🙂

      @@RestorationDIY I think that's the plan, get some basic tools together. Probably look at making cabinets/ boxes and advance through and eventually get to woodturning

    Hi love your work, given me some ideas. How do you work out the cut sizes of each segment?

    • @RestorationDIY
      @RestorationDIY  2 роки тому

      Thank you glad you like the stuff I do 🙂 I use CAD to work out the segment sizes but sometimes I use an online circumference calculator and divide the answer by how many segments I want. Hope that helps and thanks for the question 🙂

    I thought it might be an urn.
    Here's one definition I found.
    1 : a vessel that is typically an ornamental vase on a pedestal and that is used for various purposes
    (Yes, 1 use was holding cremated remains of a person. It's not the only use of an urn though.)

    • @RestorationDIY
      @RestorationDIY  2 роки тому +1

      I hadn't thought of that definition 🤔 thanks very much 😀

    It's a vase, most positively. I think you are starting to go back to your old ways in using so many products which I don't think you needed, Yorkshire grit and Hampshire sheen would have been plenty as you had sanded to such a high grit. Sorry but I'm a skin flint.😁😁😁😁take care stay safe
