    Ingredients (Serves 2-3):
    Ingredients for the Broth:
    200ml Dashi Stock
    200ml Water
3-4 tablespoons of Miso Paste (Use Miso with no additives for best results)
    Ingredients for the Soup:
    120g Pork Belly Slices
    1/3 Burdock Root
    1/2 Carrot
    80g Konjac (Yam Cake)
    5cm Daikon Radish
    1/2 Green Onion
    2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
    Red Pepper Flakes (to taste)
Optional: Other vegetables of your choice (e.g., mushrooms, tofu)
    Instructions:
Step 1 - Preparing the Ingredients:
Cut the burdock root, carrot, daikon radish, and green onion into small, uniform pieces.
Boil the konjac briefly to remove any bitterness, then cut it into bite-sized pieces.
Slice the pork belly into strips about 2cm wide, blanch them in hot water, and drain them.
Step 2 - Sautéing the Ingredients:
Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat.
Add the pork belly slices and sauté until they start to release their aroma.
Add the burdock root, carrot, daikon radish, and konjac to the pot and stir-fry over high heat.
Step 3 - Creating the Broth:
Pour in the dashi stock and water and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer the root vegetables for 7-8 minutes until they become tender.
Add the green onions to the soup.
Dissolve the miso paste (without additives) in a small amount of hot broth, then stir it into the soup. Be careful not to boil the soup once the miso is added, as it can become bitter.
Step 4 - Serving and Enjoying:
Ladle the miso soup into bowls.
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes to taste for that extra kick.
