Great video showing the actual watch rather than just the press release. I own a cal. 1861 hesalite Speedy Pro and was contemplating getting the white dial but now changed my mind. I really like everything about this FOIS 2024. Little things like it doesn't say Professional on the dial adds to that vintage touch. Thanks for the video.
Same story; I own the same Speedy Hesalite as you and love it…but seeing this made me also think to get it to accompany. So then I would have the first watch in space and first watch worn on the moon.😊
I agree. At the end of the day it's not a 100% true replica. It would make it a touch thicker, but it's always nice to have an exhibition caseback when the movement is well designed (ok sure it's not high horology artisan grade, but to the naked eye it's still wonderful).
Even though I personally think there are WAAAAAAAAAY too many models of speedmasters…it downright confusing to me as a newer watch guy. That said, this particular model makes it easy to pick which one will be my first Speedy…I love this watch
thank you for actually utilizing a clear and more realistic view of the watch. teddy has great videos but his pictures and videos of watches are so edited that they don't feel realistic and creates a disconnect especially as most of us are trying to live a small dream each time we watch these videos
New sub! It's honestly really nice to see smaller channels back to the direct and relaxing vibe! Alongside mike I enjoy your vids - keep up the good work!
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
Great video 👌 Personally I think this and the white dial Speedy are some of the best releases we've seen in the Speedmaster model range in quite some time
All really good points. I just bought the watch and it really is a unique piece. Its familar but has enough interesting changes to make it standout from the current batch of Speedys. I dont think I will take the Ed White, now, honestly. The 321 is a cool movement but, frankly, this has scratched the itch.
I have that same Speedy reduced you're wearing during the review and love it! Just serviced at the OB. Thanks for the hands on of the new Speedmaster. I am on the fence about getting it now or waiting a little bit.
This is a nice looking watch. Regarding wrist presence I believe although it is smaller diameter wise the look might even be a little larger than the speedmaster moonwatch
Thanks for the great video! I've been looking for the Speedmaster Calibre 321 in every Omega AD I go in KL and some other countries, everywhere said it's not available... until I finally found one in Germany two weeks ago before Christmas! I had to buy it and I did. I love the watch so much still haven't wear it since, not sure if I should just keep it unworn as collection piece. Any advice?
Okay, so I saw the release video and media from Omega and decided, meh, I don't care for this watch. But seeing this in real live, wow. I think this might be very high on the list for my next watch. But unlike many others, I do wish it was a larger diameter (41+). Will have to see it in person to make a final decision. Great video.
@@SumerdiniI've seen guys try on the 3861 and it looks small on their wrists!😅 can't generalize buddy. I have slim wrists too, but understand there are tons of guys with gorilla arms out there 😂
So I thought Omega pays attention to details - Today I received my Omega Speedmaster 2 subdial 44mm .. in KL surprisingly saw a white spec at the edge of one of the subdials. Could have been paint or a tiny piece of plastic or even dust. Wonder what happening to Onega Quality control these days !!
Great review of the actual watch and superb videos and photography. I have the latest generation of the Speedmaster Pro with the excellent 3861 movement. I had been waiting years for a Speedy that hacks and is very accurate and the 3861 fills the bill. I'm intrigued by the FOIS version but I'm not sure how I feel about the bracelet. It appears to be a bit heavy on the polished side which may make it look a bit too "glitsy", almost more of a dress watch. But as you said the opinions about the bracelet can go either way. Regardless of that, I suspect that Omega won't be able to keep up with the demand for this one so if you're inclined to get it and can find one, grab it while you can.
The hype is real. I'll wait for a swimmable 100 or more meters of water resistance with black lacquer dial and solid lume chunks. Maybe even slimmer case. They can do it
A watch that I’d like to see revived by Omega is the Speedmaster “TV” reference 176.0014 from the 1970s. The only time I have seen this watch was at the Omega museum in Biel/Bienne. If Omega chose to reissue that watch, then I’d be an immediate buyer! On top of that, Omega would marry the integrated bracelet sports watch genre with the iconic Speedmaster name. I can only see a double-win for Omega but I do recognise I am very likely in the minority with that view.
The dial I think is kinda Teal in colour, I love it but not really a fan of a sun ray dial I'll have to see it in person to really appreciate it, tried on the white speedy yesterday, very nice but I have the black one so I've ordered a Zenith el premero Love the look of that, never had a Zenith before so looking forward to getting one
I've always been in the Seamaster fan club and never owned a Speedmaster. I'll be buying this one though. I've tried on a 321 and a few Moonwatches and was surprised that the dial and bezel size weren't what I expected, there seems to be too much focus on case size on social media. I don't understand the accusations and dismay around 'fauxtina' - I started buying automatic watches in the 70s and none of the lume paint was white even when brand new. I seem to remember it was the early 90s that they refined it. I think there are very few watches that really suit pure white markers even though they're everywhere now.
Thanks for this awesome review Abdullah, you've just acquired a new subscriber! BTW, I'm really, really looking forward to trying it on my wrist in the metal, because I used to have a 1992 Speedy which I absolutely loved until realising it was indeed a tad too big for my 6.5 inch/16.5cm wrist. Though I still loved it on IG, I couldn't enjoy wearing it so I sold it. So I turned my attention to the first FOIS from 4-5 years ago because smaller, but there was something off. This one - I love the dial, love the fauxtina, love the fact is 39something mm and not 42. I don't love, better, I don't really understand why such a heavily vintage-inspired watch has to come with only the much-hated (from me) sapphire crystal when I'd be happier with hesalite (dear Omega, just give your clients two options like you do with the Professionals!) that has more character, more vintage vibes, more romanticism, much mucho calor. Also, I don't particularly love the too polished and shiny bracelet that I'm seeing in your review... why oh why these dressy angle in a, again, so much vintage-inspired? (please insert here the Italian gesture of WTF 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌) Thanks again!
I think the Mark XX did that blue better, and the Spitfire did the fauxtina better. I bet this Speedmaster looks particularly good in-person, though. Particularly if it's (dynamics are) anything like the random IWCs I felt the need to mention.
I think the Watch would be better if I sent the links or polish, and the outside brush like a Rolex oyster, this one’s gonna get scratched up quite a bit on the outer part of thelugs
the only draw back of this watch is, the hour minute and second hands are made of stainless steel, which make them disappear in the darkness of the dial, it is difficult for the user to see clearly for the time, unlike the chronograph hands which are white, sound and clear.
You get what you pay for ... 300 dollars for swatch speedy 8 K for this new beauty ... 16 K for Ed White with a movement completely hand built by one and only 1 Watch maker ... 321 is a Die Hard collector watch ⌚️ debating the price go for Swatch 😂
I understand the way u feel ... im a 321 Proud owner .. I'd never compromise the sapphire back and Ceramic bezel for the dial color and detail.. specially not the 321 Caliber if well go this far 😊@danielharyanto6713
Somehow it really grinds my gears that not all hands from the sub-dials are the same. Why is the left one different to the other two. This asymmetry bugs me
Because the sub register at 9 o'clock is actually the normal running seconds counter which has nothing do to with a chronograph function whereas the other two sub registers are meant to be used as chronograph counters
From most of the comments I read the only debate of the 321 Caliber is the price, which I understand its not for everyone ... But its The Real Deal The Rolls Royce of all Speedmaster ... Omega is in the right track in 2024
Why has no video or picture actually shown the clasp? What are they trying to hide? You even awkwardly cut the video so quickly while rotating the watch. Have they discovered some post production issue?
I'm not a fan of the "polished outer links" style bracelet and at 19mm lug width it will be harder to find replacement straps. Also, 48mm lug-to-lug on a less than 40mm case size is not great for my 6.5 inch wrist. So I guess I'll pass on this one. But that blueish dial is to die for.
I have my speed master for 42 years best watch ever got back in 1982 brand new! Still working great!!!
I respect you for managing to review the real watch and you filmed it so beautifully too, better than the Omega ads, it looks so crisp and warm.
I bought one today, couldn’t resist any longer. I learned it existed 3 days ago.

My exact same thinking. The 1861 will always be my number 1 but this new FOIS is a great contrast to the Moonwatch.
Dude this video was great. I've been looking for fresh watch content. Great camera work!
Finally a video with the real watch! It’s a winner by Omega no doubt. Who needs to beg for a Daytona or Ed White when you can have this…
It's like almost impossible for a Speedmaster video not to have someone mention Rolex. Rolex lives rent free in your heads

Perfect design. Well done omega

A diameter of 37-40mm is ideal for every men's watch... Anything more is absolutely unnecessary and ridiculous.
