New Research Processed Foods Cause Early Death, Anxiety, & Dementia

  • 2 large studies have news about processed foods, and it’s really bad.
Large reviews are now proving in large scale what we already know, Ultra-Processed foods are killing you.
Just 1 serving a day, of 10% of your diet, caused an increase in cardiovascular death of 50% and raised risks of all causes of mortality by 20%.
10% of calories from ultra processed “foods” also raised anxiety 53% and 20% associated with 20% increase in dementia.
    * This is even more alarming when you realize people in the USA, UK and Canada eat around 50% of their diets from these items!*
On top of that, brain scans showed people are addicted to these items, with compulsive cravings happening from just seeing the food label or advertisement for the items they are addicted to.
These studies mimic the ones done on meat 10 years ago, showing that eating animals products raised risks of not only heart disease but all causes or mortality.
Put meat and ultra processed foods together, and you have the standard Western diet and an explanation for the rise and spread of western diseases around the world that has followed the rise and spread of the Western diet, as well as why children are now getting diseases we once only saw in middle-aged people, because most kids are now given PRIMARILY processed foods to eat.
Doctors, need to do better, parents need to do better, we all need to do better. Overcoming food addiction is hard, but not overcoming it is deadly.

Thank you, Dr. Goldner for shining the light on this deadly epidemic in our country. I'm plant-based. I tell my husband (he's nearly 68 and had slow-growing colon cancer) this, he eats high-processed anyway; lots of frozen pizza, boxed & jarred everything. I prepare healthy meals, but...

Thank you so much Dr G. This is really a powerful video and powerful indictment of processed foods. I will share it widely.
I do wish you had chosen an illustration other than Amy's soup, however. Amy's is a rare breed, an all- lacto-vegetarian company which is run by very good people. There are probably 999 worse products for every not-quite-perfect Amy's one. "Don't make the perfect the enemy of the good," especially when there are thousands and thousands of real enemies!

I am 45 years old and I believe God has not brought me this far, only to be crippled by these illnesses. So, I am going to try your smoothies, if there's any advice that you can give me, I would truly appreciate it!

    • @nettierose4915

I think those are fine depending on the ingredient list. If frozen veggies have nothing added, just broccoli- then that is fine. Same goes for the canned beans- no salt is best. In fact, the convenience of having those things in the house and ready to go can enable us to stick to and eat a healthy diet. I usually cook my own dried beans but like to have some canned ones on hand for the times when I didn’t. I always have frozen fruits and veggies in my freezer to supplement the fresh. They are ready to go for when I didn’t shop. I have frozen berries in my freezer year round. Again the only ingredient will be the fruit or vegetable.

God, is really, using you, and your husband, to help Him, heal people! This, is why you were created, and went through, what you went through, as a teen. This, is your purpose! I pray, you and your family, realize, that God, is using you, to help Him, to heal His people. It was never His, will for His, people, to eat the Standard American Diet (SAD). Be blessed!

My vice is energy drinks. I don’t like coffee so I feel like I can’t function in the morning without my caffeine/sugar fix. I’ve been watching Dr G for a while and I’m trying so hard to break the addiction. Hopefully repeating “early death, anxiety and dementia” will help every time I reach for a can 🤞thanks Dr G for continuing to motivate me.

It’s either, Healy thyself or enjoy your sickness.
Please choose heal thyself- you can do it..❤️

I am in Canine Nutrition. Processed fake dry kibble does the exact same thing. It is feed, filled with synthetics that consumers believe is good for dogs. It is ultra processed. Dogs cancer rate, death, gut health is from processed feed.We need to eat species appropriate just like dogs do too. Grocery stores are filled with all the wrong choices. Same as Pet stores. People and pets are dieing much yonger.

@LetThoseOatsRoll I am no cat expert, but I do some research on cats. They are obligate carnivores only. Humans, dogs, and cats are fed ultra processed foods. No other species are fed horrendously. Zero kibble for dogs, and cats. There is no such thing as quality kibble. A traditional vet will tell us there is. A holistic or integrative vet knows the truth.

      @jannellmeagher638 Місяць тому

@brittneydito5177 yes. Cats are obligate carnivores. Not kibble eaters. A traditional vet is not taught how to feed species appropriately. A holistic vet or integrated vet is.
