  • Take a trip back in time to March 12, 1938! Climb aboard American loco 964 with Engineer Harry Hoover and fireman Geo Sprague on a trip from Ithaca to Owego NY. Watch as coal is loaded into the tender and the engine is turned around on a turntable. See Fireman Sprague fill the tender with water. Watch the Lackawanna Limited led by ALCO Hudson 1151 approach for the return trip to Ithaca.

    Armstrong turntable and what looks like a hand fired locomotive. These guys worked hard.

    Unbelievable footage of a way of life gone. Nothing left of the DLW Ithaca Branch and where the main was for th interchangw is now I86.

    Hey I was wondering does any video footage of the old DL&W main lines exist like the train bridge in Delaware, NJ, and the two tunnels on the NJ side after the bridge? (Manunka Chunk and Oxford Tunnel) that would be cool if so. I live right by the Manunka Chunk tunnels and have seen old photos of them in their heyday but never video...
