Coming along …. I think I would add a sliding window that could be tinted from your office to the lobby . This way you can open it when you want more air flow and you can also see what’s going on in the lobby . That office will get stuffy and don’t want an exhaust fan running all the time. I noticed an issue with the concrete pour in the back, you have the forms laying on the flat to slope it down. The issue with this is the concrete in that area is less than 2 inches thick. Once a car drives on it , it will crack. You needed to dig it out and slope it down maintaining at least 4-5 inches thick of concrete. Just giving you some heads up. Enjoying the content.
I would also add that they should have included dowels from the existing "porch" so that all things move together. But you are 100% correct about the thin edge, needs to be thickened and that way it could tie-in flush without the 2" edge. Hope it works out
You should tell the concrete guys to knock out and remove that piece and pour one consistent slab.
Things are coming along it looks great. I'm put up a wall and a door instead of the curtain though.
@Tyler I agree but you got to admit a wall with a nice big door double door or ever a triple door would make it look way better than a curtain.
❓QUESTION: Why did you spend all that time & money preparing the shop floor, painting with grey epoxy, and sprinkling with glitter - to just cover it with Swiss track?
You have an amazing attitude towards this entire build. With so many contractors and things of all nature needing to get done, you still find the time to thank and talk positive about your contractors. Positive attitude equals a healthy and prosperous business! Well done brother!
New to the channel, it was recommended by the algorithm. I really like the progress that you are making on the shop. The one thing that bugs me is the new concrete being poured on a dirty surface, leaves and debris not cleaned away.. I guess you have your reasons, however you want to do it is your decision. I myself would have cleared all leaves and junk away, then degreased as much as possible, plus grind away the dirty surface of the old concrete so that the new concrete would adhere better. I hope that what you have accomplished will not be undone by the new pour, breaking apart when a vehicle drives on it for the first time... just my humble opinion. Thanks for the entertaining videos!
Yeah, the concrete pour seems pretty suspect if it will last without cracking. I am no expert though but would like to hear a seasoned professional weigh in…
Hexagon lights look amazing, but I would have either put a false ceiling in first and then the lights or spray painted the full roof structure black to make it looks
So much better and nicer
Do u have a Facebook or Instagram I like the way u carry yourself, the small things they way u record, ect I would like to follow u... and learn so e things
No Rebar or wire Mesh in new Concrete...should crack inside of 90 days. also no rebar tabs connecting old to new..same story...don't know how local Building Authority permitted this...
Very thin at the far edge too. I am not a concretor but compared to every other slab I have ever seen, this looks suspiciously janky
SRM concrete trucks, IVE USED THEM IN A VIDEO OR 2, but my trucks r front discharge trucks. My next one on Xmas eve is gona be a great view
Good video btw I did subscribe
Looking good. Definitely understand the black paint thing. Less stressful on the eyes and you won't get the glare that can hide stuff while detailing a car. And the lighting is perfect.
Damm Detailing business must be pretty profitable in order to spend this kind of money on a building
Looking good man, I agree with some of the other comments though. I would definitely add a wall with a door instead of a curtain , this maybe something you plan on doing . Also a window of some sort in your office gives you more security to what goes on at your front desk reception . Keep up the great work, I wish I had the money to chase my dream like you are doing 🤙
I was thinking the old door thay they took down
I like how you talk about your Gatebuilder and approach the matter. They're just people, and they didn't build the building either. They would surely have preferred if the corner hadn't broken out. And it's nice that you give them the opportunity to finish and dress up. You haven't forgotten that things don't always go according to plan. Nice gesture.
You should of got an actual painter to paint the black, it's one of the harder paints to do without it looking patchy.
Props to you for bragging on your contractors. I’m sure they appreciate it as well as your other employees seeing you set the example 👍🏻
I was blown away to hear you say Dothan. I graduated from Dothan High about a hundred years ago. Joined the Army and moved away in 1980. Go Tigers!
The side wall LEDs being a warmer color temperature than the hex lights would drive me crazy. This space looks gnarly though! Doing a shop/office remodel myself and all I’m seeing is dollar signs.
You
Keep bringing up that you don’t want customers seeing what is in the back. But in all actuality your customers shouldn’t be back in the work area. It’ll be a insurance nightmare. Just my 2 cents.
The shop looks great! Everyone is going to be blind by 55years old because of all the LEDs though…
Looking good! What are you doing for ventilation to help keep the detail rooms clean and do you plan on doing a drain inside for washing cars inside when the weather is bad?
Just good for thought. You could repair the parking lot then seal coat, then re strip the parking lot. Save you a little coin and still look good. “Black as night”
Why do you need a shop in the back with all those service doors up front?
Bout to bring you out to build me some sets haha
I would keep the compressor in that back hallway area too, keep it out of your main detail / clean room area
Just wondering why you didn't frame a wall with a door where you put those curtains
You are more interested aoubot your painting and colour! But the basic?? That wath you start with … let rock! Hi dude!! Let’s see what you got! ????
et rid of the curtains and frame it out. id put some pallet racks back there for storage then frame it out. if your really wanted to you could make the wall removable or even open like 2 big doors.
Keep up the outstanding work, it is coming along great, God bless ya'll.
With the 14 foot door are ya guys gonna be doing semi trucks
Congratulations ! on your New shop & your Progress, its coming together !
Bro you should put 4" by 4" bar across your lovely new door to stop people driving into in when no one is there
What are the bays in the front for.
bro that concrete is going to break up in a year!!!
Looking good. Makes me want to drive there from Oklahoma to get my truck done
Cannu tell me the beat you used at 0:50 seconds in the video :) 👍🏾 awesome shop remodel too!!
The shop is looking amazing awesome work thanks from Melbourne 🇦🇺.
You should put a window in your office. Maybe the transparent one way glass.
Because your probably going to want to be able to monitor your customer service desk from the office.
The order in which things are done is very important. The new door, spray foam and all of the painting should have been done before anything in the back.
Don’t be cheap and make sure to sealcoat that asphalt every 2 years to prevent cracks and degrading of the asphalt! I sealcoat for a living and asphalt is like a sponge it dries out and cracks after it sits in the sun!
Looking dang good 👍 bud!! Very cool seeing how far you the family and channel have come over the years of following you. Can’t wait too see what the future holds for you man!! Happy Holidays!!
I love the video, I love the length of it not too long but long enough where it makes me hungry to see more videos
I would of did asphalt for the ramps
And when is Mater going to be done. Can't wait to see that thing on the road.
What size wheel spacers and tires are you running on your truck? Those are stock wheels yeah?
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO USE THE SHOP WITH ALL THE GLASS DOORS FOR???
I hope you didn't pay for them to do the concrete ramp! that's horrible they didn't even saw cut the blacktop and excavate down to give you at least 5" of concrete, that is guaranteed to be cracked and destroyed.
They should have built form boards and mortared the block up. Get rid of the wood it will rott .
oh man that lighting is bada;.;..'./ great job on the video's i love how its coming along great job boss
Where did you purchase the large hanging light? Sweet concept!
Hey parodoxz a nother awesome videos on your channel alot every day u are awesome UA-camr u really put out awesome content on your channel your shop is coming together but slowly keep the awesome video coming u definitely my favorite UA-camr u and your family have a safe holiday and merry Christmas to my family to your family 😀🌲🎁
Love watching the channel, all the way from Newfoundland Canada!
Looking great, congratulations on the new shop!
The lights made it look better
I like the longer videos thank you for the content!!!
if you shine lights behind the
curtains you can see a lot less behind it
Them seems on the drywall 😬🙃
Watch my newest video haha
Coming along nice looking good !
Y’all should put a shower in there in case of a very dirty detail so you don’t get back in you car
Looking good.
I’m loving all this but I’m a og subscriber. Where are the can ams? Where is mater?
I'm gonna watch the last video in this series before I ask my question about the wall.
I was waiting for the guy to fall off the ladder when he was climbing up the wrong side
Really coming together! Love all these videos👍
Is that my boy Robert on the ladder hanging the new hexagon lights? lol
Woww man,
Your shop is starting to look dazzlingly beautiful and when it's all done I'm sure everyone will think the same. When the outside is also completely refurbished, the neighborhood will think that a completely new building has been built.
With the way of approach that you use, I am convinced that your dream will become reality and you are cordially awarded with this
Send you love from the Netherlands
I’m sure that light fixture cost a pretty penny but it look flimsy as hell
Congratulations Sir
Good job shop is looking good
Thanks for the update
Do you buy the old napa or are you leasing it?
Got some haze in the lens?
Man I'd love to be on your level could I get a shout out haha watched start to end love it
for the broken cylinder blocks by your new door I would just have them fill it & stucco that area. Plus the cylinder block looks ugly compared to stucco
Love it!! It's looks awesome!!
Ok fine, it looks great so far but, it looks more like a photo studio not an auto shop.
Man it's looking good!
Looking great,👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Just tell the customers that truck belongs to whistlin diesel
Lookin good 👍🏻
What do u mean terrible youtuber this is my 1st vid
Build a wall, a curtain will look tacky compared to the rest of the great work your doing.
Killin it brother
Love it!!!!
👍
How much cost of building?
you shoulda fired that drywaller. NEVER do standing seams, always offset your seams, as detail oriented as you are thats a massive oversight. holy crap
I did, watch the videos! Haha it’s perfect now
Who makes the octagon led panel?
Found on Amazon
Personally it's crazy to concrete if u r asphalting everything
Sometimes the annoying part tho is when you’re cleaning a car like the inside, asphalt rocks tend to get back tracked in the car
Call the shop 50 Shades of Black.
New subscriber! Where are you located?
I know it’s blasphemous to say but all the oak or whatever trees beside the shop are going to continue leaving all those leaves everywhere on the nice new asphalt you’re pouring. I’d almost be willing to cut those things back or complete out if it’s your property. All is looking good so far man.
Do you still have the can am’s?
Network- Video- Phone- Alarm wiring ??
No network or alarm information will be given or shown on video for security purposes
Yoooooo I had no idea this was in Dothan!

I don't understand your layout, is that back room for buffing and polishing and the front of the shop for washing and all or what? It doesn't make sense.
