You have dirt cheap, gas bay heat. And you want to remove it why ?? So when your power is out .. the only heat your building will have .. IS GONE ?? Great idea !!!
Oil Floats. Not sinks. The oil is on the top. 👍
I hope you don't regret removing those heaters. It does not hurt to leave them in their. They are more efficient than electric. But man I bet it feels good watching your dream come true.
Unless he is going with heat pumps which depending on electric cost and the same or slightly higher to run than gas, however if he solar panels the roof he could end up with almost no electric bill.
They work so good for winter
@@brandonkruse825 no electric bill but he ends up with a loan payment and depending on the size of his system, the payment could be more than his electric bill.
Oil usually floats on water so that sump probably has pipes off those 90° that run down to like 6"-12" from the bottom to push the water out and leave the oil in the sump.
If you don't change the ballast when you go to led they usually don't work right if at all.
the drains separate garbage from the liquid and i do believe the shop has a oil collector tank underground,
they usually put them in back in the 80s and 90s to separate water and oil for tankers to pump wast oil out evry 2 years or so
Love the series and thanks! Just a suggestion but a gyro stabilizer would do wonders for the fast back and forth motions.
100% dude makes me dizzy with all the spinning
It's a oil water separator drain. They are very common at shops.
Yes and they all get pumped I work at firestone and we have those type of drains
Caleb... You are a very kind and down to earth man! Thank You for opening up your new business site for the world to critique! You have hit this effort out of the park!!! Looking forward to all your new vids!!!
It is looking awesome!!!
Shop is looking great
Looks great! I can appreciate your attention to detail.
I’m digging these shop update videos for sure. I feel like I’m getting spoiled. A couple of my favorite detailers to watch are you and Detail Geek and you’re both in current stages of a shop build/make-over. Definitely keep it up. I enjoy the videos from this perspective! 👊🏻
I'm doing the same thing doing a 10k building for making Halloween props in birmingham. I painted all my celings black walls a light color..
Looks great! Keep posting!
Happy Holidays buddy!!! Thank you for sharing your experience, all the best in the New Years!

I just watched all your videos regarding the shop build just because I’m also about to build my shop! This is so inspiring and we get to see (briefly) how and why this business is so tedious and expensive, you did it well and I’m definitely going to take some notes from this for when I get started on mine! Already got the shop and now start working. God bless you and happy new year!

Hi man,
Your new shop is progressing very well but I always was convinced that you will have a stunning shop anyways due to the way you’ve built your previous shop plus the way how you deal with cars. I wish you and your lovely family a very merry Christmas and send you love from the Netherlands
I just found your channel today. I’m very much enjoying your video progress of the new shop! Congratulations!
Oh wow!!! You did it! Congratulations!!

Thank you Martin, Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
Looking good. The way the lights are doing it seems like there may be a loose wire somewhere.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE FROM HAMILTON ONTARIO CANADA!!!
Looking good bro!!👍🏼…Aloha🤙🏽
It looks like that's an oil/water separator in the floor under the drain. If so that's great, can be very expensive to install. My new shop has 4 installed and I was jumping with joy when I learned that
Your dream shop is also my dream shop
U need to get that auto shop going too get a few good techs to bang out jobs
Shop looking good brother big fan from Birmingham, Alabama
SemperFi!
They have a product that is called oil pads they float on water they do not absorb the water but they will absorb the oil once they get full of oil you pick him up and you throw him away
Might need to put a resister for the leds
Envisioning a seating/bar type viewing area and more glass for customers to watch (maybe the next remodel get things done for now.
Hey parodoxz u and your family have a safe holiday and merry Christmas from my family to your family u really put out the best content on your channel your new shop is coming together but slowly u definitely my favorite UA-camr ever keep up the great work on your channel 🎁🌲😀 u have a good Christmas
Idk if this would help but you could do a monitor setup to where it displays cost for certain things like for example exhaust x amount
Looks like an oil/water separator. Call safetykleen and they will clear it out.
Merry Christmas Caleb gotta be honest kinda wanna be you! #Exciting times!
This is true because it's random info left in the comment section (obviously). I was told by a sparky, the ballast can just be completely removed from the sign, and apparently you just run the white wire to one side, and black to the other, and it'll run just fine.
I love how wide he went on those mud seems. I can't tell you how many times I have seen guys skimp on like 4 inches and I'm like dude wtf do it right.
You should totally get a popcorn machine for customers.
👍 👍
Great videos man keep them coming.... check your camera on your phone if that's what's your using to record maybe its dirty or if you have a screen cover because its really blurry.
I want to make a suggestion on your security camera system. I would highly recommend going with a brand like ubiquiti that can run your security cameras, your wireless network, your phones and your hardwired network.
hey i watched you build up the shop and you are doing great and i love the content but 1 small sugestion get a good camera for filming quality is key on youtube keep up the great work merry christmas
I love your videos and the new shop. What are the dimensions of the actual shop part? Excluding the office/lobby area.
Get the ballest free led bulbs for the outdoor sign. No cold weather flicker. I'm betting the a magnetic ballast and not electronic.
It's not just a drain it is a grease trap. Thats way the pipes turn down.
Yup it's called a siphon, if you ever build one the down tube needs to be 2-1/2 x the diameter of the pipe's ID. they need an occasional burping at times
Great shop, and great work. But is there something wrong on the side of the light switch in the bathroom?
Merry Christmas 🎅
Are you going to spray the ceiling tile grid black?
That is the shop oil separator for the sewer just make sure to have it pumped out every year by oil disposal company. Well all the old in ground lifts are gone you just don't want core samples taken from around the shop. since you own now. brake kleen is what you are worried about being found it will leak threw concrete. Oil is always is going to be on top of separator water drains front bottom clean the pit good and flush out all the drain guy might be good to have drains flush out at same time, can be done power washer.
Hopefully that drain has a oil water separator on it
it is an oil/water seperator
Great series. Alot of work. Do you plan major changes for the outside front of the building
Yes, we will be changing a lot
👍👍👍👍👍
primer sum u sand down too?
The oil will not going to go to the bottom of pit. The water will go to the bottom and the oil will go on top of that. That being said when you pulled the stick out it looked like water on it not oil.
Where’s the updates man looking forward to seeing it all looks great so far keep grinding my boi
Great new shop man, looking great, you haven’t had Jonathan on your Channel in a little bit? Do you still see him? Hope you have a very merry Christmas 🎄, love ❤️ watching your videos
We talk all the time man, he’s just focused on building his channel which is a really good thing. Merry Christmas!
@@ParoDoXz very cool
You could have a bad neutral. Either in your panel or from the power company.
Currently looking to start my own shop and now getting worried with the required amout of work lol
Looks like that pit is like a 'grease trap' in a restaurant. Filtering out the oil is what it is designed to do.
oil/water seperator. dirt on the ground, water and oil floating on top of the water. the water exit pipe goes down in 90° near the ground . that´s wh you have to fill it up with water before you use it. oil always will be on the top. you suck it out and bring it to a recycling station.
