Long term term small owner tip. Don’t use white grout in high traffic areas. They stuff will turn black before you know it. I’d use dark grey or even black grout.
We used gray for lobby and black for bathroom 🤙
Have them add some dark tint to your primer. It will make the paint cover a lot easier
I have watched every video on this shop transformation pretty bad ass watching your dream come to fruition and having it all on camera! You have a solid crew make sure to take care of them I’m sure you are! Looking forward to the next one.

I drove by the shop yesterday, looking great. The only thing I’d of done differently is on the garage doors I would have tinted each row of windows a lighter shade of tint so a customer could see how a certain percentage of tint looks on the inside and outside.
Thanks man! There’s a reason we went that dark, one is that the sun sets across the street and would make it almost impossible to paint correct inside the shop because the sun is literally blinding. Another is security and confidentiality of my clients vehicles, it is not going to be a standard vehicle shop, more high end is what we are shooting for
For nostalgia I’d keep the Napa sign and find a spot inside, to tie in the old with the new. I’m loving the shop by the way

You could go ahead and paint the white on the ceiling before putting tiles back up that’s way you can spray and not have many worries

i work on countertops and granite is solid material but when carrying it, its very fragile and could crack easily. from what you said there was a join in the middle so it wasnt all solid so when they were carrying it, they tilted it while they put it up against the counter so where the join was snapped. countertop guys werent at fault, happens a lot, counter came out nice. shop is coming together, love how its comin out

I think you should have left the outside pillars painted red all the way up and the bottom of the door gray you have the top black so that would match your interior colors
Amazing transformation on the shop...Great Job!! The only additional thing I'd do to the front is pressure wash the cement in front of each bay door and by the front door entrance. Have it re-sealed and repaint the stripes. And possibly have someone come in and re-tar your parking lot. Other than that, great touch with the paint job and I can't wait to see it finished.

Careful with the tile floor if it is not grouted. It's super easy to crack tile corners and edges.

You should look into masking liquid in order protect all those panes of glass in the windows!
Paint the ceiling structure while all the tiles are down. Do them same colour as the ceiling tiles. Black

Using granite you have weak points in the stone. It's natural so we're those seams are you have to brace them while installing
Yeah that CTS is most likely a base model 3.6. You can order V badges or any other performance model badges GM has from the dealerships parts counter for really cheap. Majority are just stick on too with no drilling. So that is just someone wanting to look like something they aint. The biggest tell along with the wheels and calipers is that the hood on a CTS-V model has more of a low profile cowl design on it so it sits a little taller in the middle.

In the actual bays where they work it helps to see paint defects when the walls don’t reflect light. The led lights above give good reflection and you can see clearly any issues in the paint
