One of the best coffee makers I am on my 2nd one now took old one to work (still going) new one at home. Mine is several years old now...will buy again if needed and continue to make this model.

I see more difference between the Low Med & High carafe burner settings. I put 3/4 cup water in the coffee maker, brewed to carafe, and gave it 15 minutes to equalize each time after changing L, M & H. I found water in carafe to be 150 at Low, and 180 at High. I think there might be a temp sensor and thermostat, so if you just measured the burner itself, it's probably either on or off (more likely ON), so that reading wouldn't be as helpful I think.
I don’t leave my coffee maker plugged in. Not enough counter space. Will this work without having to program anything? My second question is the filter necessary, I use water from a Brita filter. I don’t have hard water. Thanks for all the videos you do
Will the temperature of the warming plate affect the taste of the coffee when it's brewed. And when would you use this and also when would you prefer to use the bold feature without compromising the flavor of the coffee if I'm making a bag of coffee (8 to 10 cup pot)
Do these coffee makers have a alarm or something on them to let you know when your coffee is done always like that with the coffee makers also would you recommend this or the Cuisinart brand
Good review but recheck your measurement, actually only 14 high. 21 is when you open to fill. I do need to pull out from under cabinets, when i open to fill that is the measurement. Assuming that is what you meant.😊
Great video. If I already use filtered water, do I still need the internal filter? Also, if the filter gets old, will it affect the flavor and or the functionality of this device? Thanks!
Thank God it doesnt beep at me when its done, i hate that. I like the temps of this. Cone filter, meh. il try it before i hate it. Il skip that water charcoal filter. i just might buy this unit.
Love your videos, and thankful for your information. It is odd how there is so little information about these otherwise highly regarded machines. I have been looking into a KF7150 (the black version) and had a few questions about the functionality that isn't really address in the manual. First, does the AUTO OFF setting need to be enabled in order for the hot plate to stay on after completing the brew cycle, or does it default to 2 hours with it disabled and uses the set time when the it's enabled. Second, is the machine able to use the 1-4 Cup setting when set to the programmed AUTO ON brewing? Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much for watching and your kind words!!! The default is 2 hour for auto off. yes you can use the 1/4 in auto program. I agree Braun does make a nice coffee maker and they last a long time.

I will miss not having to use a hot plate but I do like the control that the Braun offers. Thought about getting the Newer Brewsense or the Optibrew with the touchscreen controls but I feel like the button interface is simpler to operate while having all the same functions.
Is it normal for the lid on the carafe to make a snapping sound when you open and close it? Usually a hinged lid is opens and closes silently and smoothly. I hate to return it because of that, but it drives me crazy. Is there a way to make it not do that?

no beeps from this coffee maker and this is a good reliable coffee maker.

Its normal. I also noted this kind weird.
It is annoying but it appears to be a sort of locking mechanism to keep the lid from coming up while pouring.
