You mentioned the blue of Lake Tahoe. When you get to Crater Lake NP, take the PCT detour that takes you beside Crater Lake itself. You will be amazed by the dazzling shade of blue that Crater Lake is known for.

Sugar is an addictive substance used by the food industry to keep you coming back for more. You’re not really craving calories you’re craving fat. Eat more fatty cuts of meat when in town. Ribeye is a good source. Love the videos. Living vicariously through what you are doing since I was previously overweight and had zero energy. Hoping to get back on the trail soon for some easier weekend hikes.

Nice Heidi’s is good, simple, something for everyone. Yes, amazing how SLT does not cater to hikers much. It’s a ski town. I live near ebbetts pass so very familiar. If you haven’t seen a bear yet, you probably will now.

Dude, on my '22 LASH, everyone was griping about how expensive Cali was. Fellow hiker warned me, watch out for credit card surcharge, often several dollars minimum, so if you buy multiple small things, really adds up. I would find an ATM in trail town stops and just get cash . Also, I ate those same protein bars so much. They are good ones.

South Lake Tahoe is a great time. I spent 3 days there on my PCT hike. You guys might run into snow in southern Washington.

If you have a frequent buyer card for Safeway then that should work at any shaws here on the east coast or an Albertsons out there.
Delerium is hard to find on tap. Thankfully the Belgian is easy to locate otherwise.

I did a section on the AT this year and decided to try the powdered carnation in a plastic bag. It busted halfway through my hike and coated my entire food bag in chocolate dust. D: Absolute misery ha.

CA is expensive but the Mountains/ you're paying even More up there for all the reasons/ tourists, more remote, etc/ Super Expensive. OR should be a little cheaper. hahaha big5// CHEAP gear, sometimes dry meals that's all hahah... another great episode thanks for sharing

Why did you send your Ursack to Sierra City and not KM North where you had to hang your food bag all that time to Sierra City? Also getting conflicting reports of needing a bear can not just in Desolation Wilderness but all the way through the Tahoe Basin. Your well past that now but curious what you saw going through Tahoe to Donner Summit?Enjoying the video’s!
