I prefer the Light wings or Swafans for that type of price, I can only hope Be quiet! decideds to do some magnetic connectors or Lian li style clipping. Great video Kyle!
I've used a few Red Dragon products in the past and honestly have always been pleasantly surprised. No they aren't going to be on par or beat high end brands, but for the price it's usually a safe purchase. I even had a good experience with their customer service. Bought a keyboard with hot swap PCB and came with blue clicky switches. I didn't like them and reached out to Red Dragon to see if they would be willing to send me some brown switches to install. I only asked bc they included a 3 pack of alternative switches with the keyboard. Red Dragon said they don't stock sets of switches, but instead sent me an entire new keyboard with Brown switches for free...and said I could keep the one I purchased. The interesting thing was that they didn't ask me to do the typical (China junk ripoff company) thing, where they tell you to give the product a 5⭐ review due to the free product. So Red Dragon is typically worth taking a chance on, at least for peripherals....I don't know how much I'd trust the longevity of an AIO but who knows
I just became a Redragon user too. Got an mmo 12 button mouse, a keyboard with 6 macro keys, and a headset all from them, and they are preeeeetty well made. Like you said, not the HIGHEST quality, but for the price, you could do faaar worse. Definitely worth trying.
Been using a gaming mouse and keyboard for 4 years now, still running good, I bought a razer deathadder v2 wireless mouse two years ago and its stop sometimes now
Glad to see the channel back, was looking so long and couldn’t find it. Helped me build my first pc 🙌. Hope it continues and and we see the journey continue 🔥
that's what i was going to say, it looks like the RGB controller might just not be doing a smooth fade between adjacent LEDs, in which case it would look choppy no matter how high end your devices are
I bought an offbrand PSU once, it literally blew up in my pc a month after purchase. I have not since, nor will i ever again cheap out on a power supply.
@@mostofahasinmahdi miraculously only the psu died. I was very lucky that the board and all other components were OK. When I saw that purplish smoke come out the back of my case I was certain the whole thing was a goner.
Never EVER cheap put on a PSU. I did that with my first build and the bitch kept crashing my PC. So glad I went with Corsair PSUs from then on, almost never had this issue again.
I recently used the Icoler fans (V1) for a build I will be attempting to sell soon. They were nice to work with, and I'll be using them in my next build, for sure. As for the AIO, I went with a Thermalright 360mm AIO, which was cheaper than the Red Dragon one. If you haven't looked into Thermalright yet, definitely do so.
Must admit that so far, I have avoided Thermalright products; the name sounds too much like a knock-off of 'Thermaltake'. But then I suppose that there are a finite number of company names beginning with 'Thermal'. If this video is the precursor of a series, then I'd second the request for you to investigate Thermalright products.
@@DraftySatyr literally me, ive recently bought some 120 and 140 mm fans from thermaltake and been wanting to refund them to buy some thermalright ones. Thermaltake cables are so long and obnoxious, and have propietary connectors Im waiting right now for the uni fan icoler ones to change them already
Most of my desktop peripherals I built in 2020 are from Tecware, their quality is quite good IMHO. Tecware Forge M for my case Tecware Orbis F1 & F3 for my fan kit Tecware Orbis LED strip Highly recommended if you can get. PS: I did not get a notification from your previous video, going to watch it now.
Would be nice to do a longevity test on this build, leave it running 24/7 and ramp it occasionally to simulate actual usage (not just a torture test) and see how the fans, pump, psu, drive hold up over time.
Ive literally just upgraded and rebuilt my pc and used the interstellar fans. Really pleased with them. The look great. I also have a 2tb nvme from fanxiang which has been going strong for just over a year now so all good. My previous build also had klev crass ddr4 memory and that was great too
I have to admit bro, even most of it are from brands that are unheard of, that rig is a beauty! Who knew you could get all that "premium" rgb goodness without spending a ton of money and even had an anime waifu!!! Great video bro keep it up!
Redragon is a great brand. I use their horus keyboard. I love it. The hot swappable cherry switches sound great, there is sound dampening foam and a fully brushed metal body. It's low cost but really high quality.
So I've been living in asia for few years now and I could swear that I see FANXIANG everytime I look for an ssd. So I bought a 1TB gen3 unit and its working just fine for more than a year now
Yes they're a well established brand over there, just haven't caught on over here for some reason. Their SSDs are pretty good actually. I've used them for awhile now with no issues.
I'm working so haven't got time to got through all of the comments but I bought a Fanxiang SSD 3.5" 500GB to rebuild a desktop without wiping the Samsung drive that was my boot drive. It showed up as £36 on Amazon Uk but then I signed in and got it for £27. I've been using it for around a month on a dual boot setup and it's been fantastic so far
By the way, I'm not too picky. This is a machine that i built in 2009 and is a workhorse with a lot of drives and 32GB RAM but is still running a Phenom 1090T which keeps my feet warm 😄
Redragon is not a off brand name they’ve been around for a while and are pretty trustable. My 850 WATT PSU is from there and I have no complaints. It’s so underrated and cheap once you compare it to Corsair etc. beautiful brand man

This should be a short series. Like "Is it worth it ?" Where you compare different obvious clones and their performance. I'd love to see this kind of testing of products so people can build PCs while saving money 😊
Klevv is a brand by Essencore, which is itself part of the SK group. Ergo, it's basically a sister company to SK Hynix, which is why it uses Hynix nand.
I’ve been flipping PCs for over 5 years and pretty much every single build I’ve done had “knockoff” parts in it! Very often they are produced in the same factory as much more premium brands and you get pretty much the same product. Knowing what to buy and what to avoid is not as trivial though!
They very often are not produced in the same factory as actual quality brands, just in the same factories as brands trying to appear premium. It takes a lot longer to know the difference than 5 years even if you're in the industry, and probably longer if you're just a flipper. I feel sorry for your victims.
I've had those fans saved on my Amazon account for several months now, but couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on them yet. I worried about them being too loud under load since they’re cheap knock offs. Maybe I'll give them a try. Icoler also makes a 30mm thick fan with the same Uni Fan look. I’d be interested in the performance of those fans as well!
So funny coming back and seeing this video after not watching for a while and seeing the case in this video is the EXACT same case I upgraded to from my old CyberPower case 😂😂 I have no shame, I love the case

Off brand doesn't always mean crap (Sometimes it does). I bought a $10 pair of Power King headphones WAAAAY back in 1991, and they are still going strong over 30 years later, unlike the company that made them. I bought newer name brand ones, but the sound just wasn't what I was wanting.

How many of the well known brands have been selling crap over the years or screwing over customers on RMA's and warranty's, i'd be more than happy to try any of these "knock-off's".
I'd be kind of interested to see what the thermals would have been like if you kept the rear fan and included AIO fans and just used two 3 packs of fans for the side and bottom intake. Also, if you did get rid of the rear fan and original AIO fans, how did you populate all ten fan slots with only three 3 packs of fans?
Should have went with something like a "Power Spec" brand Psu. Its Microcenters inhouse brand. Id consider that an offbrand. "High Power" makes them last I read.

I made a comment on my new experience of a Fanxiang 3.5" SSD that I've only been using for a month. Good so far but it's backed up with Backblaze and is only in place until I make sure that I've moved all of my settings from my main Samsung drive. I will see how it goes.
