To be 71 and still have complete control of all vocal registers is incredible. I don’t think her voice has actually dropped in height that much since the late 70s when she was first a leading lady on Broadway. She has a very well preserved instrument.
Anyone who heard her sing "Pink" in War Paint - arguably one of the finest vocal performances in the last two decades - knows she has matured with an instrument seemingly in its prime. As is her interpretative gift.
It was a stunning performance. But I must say again, recordings & video of any length or kind without express permission of producers & unions is not allowed.

This was the Highlight of the Evening for me too. When she goes to that Lush place there is nothing more gorgeous.
Omg thank you for this. I’m still mad at myself for not standing after this one but I was too overcome with emotion.

This is STUNNING. Perfect casting, I wish they could’ve let her sing Losing My Mind, or maybe she did??
And THERE it is.
This is brilliant! I hope you also have Jennifer Holliday singing "I'm Still Here"? I heard a snippet of it and I desperately need the full thing

Then why are you listening? And why do you watch such recordings on youtube? Explain yourself.
Almost as good as Barbara Cook’s definitive version - which is saying something.
